All I want for Christmas!

Good Sunday Morning,
Bit of a personal one today, I thought I better make my darling husband a Christmas card and
That's how this card evolved!
I die cut a heart out do white card and built up layers and layers of the impression obsession little fern die cuts, I printed out my sentiment and mounted on another heart.
I Matted and layered an 8x 8 card with some white and the red card embossed with Holly swirls embossing folder, I cut a frame using to sizes of Spellbinders Grand squares and mounted that on to
My card base, I then stuck my fern adorned heart into the middle and used a Martha Stewart heart border die to cut some tiny hearts to act as baubles on my wreath, ( the hearts are the waste)
I used Sue Wilson's Classic Bow Dies both large and small to make the bow feature to hang my heart
Bauble from.
Paul absolutely loved his card.
Our tree is now up but still naked, we will decorate it tomorrow, all together.
Milo and Bella are loving the new smells coming from the tree.
Have a lovely Sunday everyone,
Love and hugs to you all
Sandra xxxxxxx
Below is close up of bow and shows better the gorgeous Best Creations glitter card I used.

  3. WOW Sandra, that must have taken many hour's and so much patience to cut out ALL those fern leaves, what a star, I bet it took longer to cut those out than it did to put the card together ?! Anyway, well worth it and if Paul hadn't have adored it - well he'd have eaten it for breakfast after all the effort, time, and love you put into it !
    Wonderful.
I wont be leaving home now other than hospital appointments, and final market, then once spring arrives and it warms up a little I shall be able to go out again.
Phone keeps crashing and had 3 attempts at Sue's blog, crashed just as I was about to click send on Patricia's blog last night ! So I will have to try again on both later.
    Have a good day.

  4. Morning Sandra. Adore this card, you must have spent hours cutting all that fern and I absolutely love the glittery bow. Enjoy the tree decorating. As we are still busy decorating (my craft room is almost finished) we left the Christmas decorating to our daughter and the house now looks as though the sparkle fairy has been everywhere! But she had fun and that's all that matters to us. Sue xxx

  7. Hi Sandra,
What a gorgeous card! No wonder Paul loved it. A real labour of love cutting out those ferns alone! However it was really worth all your hard work as it looks amazing.
    Happy tree dressing!

  8. Hi Sandra
No wonder Paul loved his card. A real labour of love. These ferns are tiny, so it must have taken you hours just to cut these alone. The card is absolutely stunning. I can see Mile and Bella decimating your tree Sandra. Better get the naughty step ready. Haven't heard from Mrs B yet regarding lunch next week. I'll email again later.
