Good Sunday Morning Ladies,
My goodness it turned cold yesterday, we popped to the Garden centre to get some seed compost, I had my big thick jumper on but my goodness I wish I'd put my coat on! We got the compost and a few other bits that we didn't intend to buy, but that's nothing new!!
The first thing that we did when we got home was light the log burner (and put kettle on of course). I hope that you all managed to stay cosy and warm.
Let's see what you have been making.....
Karen
Karen's Description:
Had a bit of a play with my Christmas pressie from my SIL
I faffed and faffed with the die Do I do it in white or black Do I paper piece it etc
I didn’t stamp the text in background very straight so cutting that out with another Aall and Create die has helped
Both the orange and blue card have been created with DO
Now do I add white splats?
Decisions decisions 🤣
As you can see from the photo Karen did add splats it just wouldn't be a 'Karen Aall&Create card' without splats!
I love your card, the texture in the background is incredible, the varied tones look fantastic, the Reckoner stamp has added lovely detail too. I am really tempted by those grungy border dies 😍
Thank you so much for creating such an inspirational card my lovely XXX
Lilian
Lilian's Description:
Hi, here is my card for this week.
Tim Holtz stamps again, the flowers have clear embossing powder on them.
The grasses are from Lavinia stamps, they are new, so useful to use to fill space.
Inked the background the pink and green are from the printed paper stack.
The stitching didn’t work, but I shall not give up, will have another go using a zigzag stitch instead of straight.
Such a beautiful card Lilian, the flowers are gorgeous and the grasses just tie all the layers together. I am watching your card stitching journey closely, I still haven't been brave enough to try! Let me know how the zigzag stitching goes please.
Thank you so much for such a beautiful card Lilian, your support is very much appreciated XXX
Sonia
Sonia's Description:
The background paper is from my stash of 12x12” cardstock cut to size. The numbers and circle die are from Temu, and the Happy Birthday from Spellbinders, all die cut in gold glitter card. The flowers are also Spellbinders.
Such a gorgeous card Sonia for your Mum's very Special birthday, I love the colours in that beautiful paper you have used, pairing it with the gold glitter card was genius, plus gold glitter card is essential on celebrating cards!
I hope your Mum has an amazing birthday, thanks for sharing your card XXX

Beautiful cards ladies I thoroughly enjoyed getting a little bit messy
ReplyDeleteI hope your mum has a lovely day Sonia
Take care everyone xx
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteA lovely selection of beautiful cards 😍
It has turned cold again, hasn’t it! We had the heating on all day yesterday. My day didn’t go as planned, as instead of myself picking up James, I went to the emergency care centre! I’d cut my hand on Friday night (actually stabbed it with a kitchen knife) trying to get one of those rubber stoppers out of a reed diffuser bottle! Anyway it was still bleeding slightly yesterday, and Mark thought it best I get it looked at. So he dropped me off and went to get James. Fortunately the cut is only superficial, so she glued it - although said it won’t close the wound, stuck another plaster on it and sent me on my way. Luke came and picked me up. Mark had a good journey and he and James arrived home early afternoon.
I’m looking forward to celebrating Mum’s Birthday today with the family 😊
Have a good day everyone, stay warm.
Sending hugs to you all xxx
Hi everyone, yes it’s much colder here, used to not mind the cold but now I’m older feel it much worse.
ReplyDeleteLove the cards on display today. It’s surprising how different styles we all do.
Started making a table runner for my small coffee table in the lounge as over Christmas it gained a white ring mark. I have tried to get it out but nothing worked, so sewing the next best thing.
Hope you are all keeping well. Lilian
Hi Sandra and all looking in. Lovely cards today ladies.
ReplyDeleteSandra yours are all so pretty, and I love the colours you chose xx
Lilian, I love the grasses, perfect on their own or used as a filler. Your card is beautiful xx
Karen, you are so good at the grungy look without it looking a mess which is what usually happens when I try it! Love the colours you used xx
Sonia, your Mums card is great, I’m sure she loved it. I have those circle dies from Temu but haven’t used them yet xx
Grandson stopped me crafting so still no card on the go but I can see quite sbit of my desk now so maybe tomorrow 🤞🏻
Have been at 34 today, now in bed as I’m exhausted. Have a good night. Take care. Love Sue xx
