Sealed Bloom card

Good Monday Morning Ladies,

Here we are at the start of a new week,  I'm not excited this one, well today mostly.  I have an endoscopy today, probably as you are reading this post!   I have starved for 12 hours just to be safe, it said 8 hours but I wasn't getting up at 4am to eat! It said we will be there 2 to 4 hours, I'm hoping not.

Today's card is a result of me playing after making the wax seals for Becca's wedding invitations.  I have had the stuff to do it for a good couple of years but just not had the urge to try it.  Spellbinders have bought out a range of dies called 'Sealed' they are flower dies that work well as bouquets of flowers, the bit that looks like twine around the card is actually a die cut, it has a circle in the centre to place your wax seal or if you don't want to use wax you could just add a sentiment.

I used pool party card embossed on a white card base, I die cut the flowers and foliage in shades that work well with the Pool Party card, I die cut the twine part in white to tie in the base card and flowers.  I placed my wax seal in the centre to finish the card.

Its hard to explain the die, so I thought I'd show you.

I hope that you all have a great start to the week,

My love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra xxx

  3. Hi everyone
There have been some lovely cards over the last week and the last few days and I have loved them all. This card today is beautiful and the colours are gorgeous. The stamped seal is lovely. Hoping all the invitations soon are done, good you got all the girls to help out.
Hoping that you are alright after the procedure. Just take it easy today.
It feels a bit weird to be back home. It feels colder somehow. We had a great week and the food was lovely and so were the cakes. One area of the mountains were very bare of snow because of the sun. The photos is from the glacier 3000 metres up. We had to take three cable cars to get to the top. It was a restaurant up there so we sat in there for a little lunch, OH had frankfurter's and chips while I had a typical Austrian dish called kaizermarren, like a thick pancake with apple sauce or plum sauce to it. On Saturday we were back in Luton around 4pm. Got to the car, managed to get the bags in and then nothing 😕 The battery had died!! RAC to come out between 2-4 hours 😭 OH phoned them up and tried to get them to come out sooner. It was freezing outside, luckily it was a box for waiting travellers which was heated so I sat in there while OH was calling and fretting about the stupid battery. I think someone thought about us and a lovely guy came to our help after an hour and half. He put a new battery in and £150 lighter we soon was on our way home. I said to OH that I'm to tired to even think about cooking dinner now so we stopped off for a quick McDonald's, 5 minutes from home. I can't tell you how nice it was to go through the door, put up the heating, put the water back on and put our feet up with a nice cuppa 😉
Sonia, hope your mum had a great birthday yesterday and that you are alright
Karen, the photos from your holiday look amazing. Just hoping that you feeling a lot better now.
Sending lots of warm hugs to you all, take care. Maria xxx

  4. Lovely card Sandra, the colours are great, love how you have used the seal die it is so effective.
Hope you have been ok after having your endoscope earlier, none of us like having them but it’s amazing how they are able to identify our problems with this procedure. Hope they don’t keep you waiting too long for the results. I’m having a PET scan on Wednesday, i have one every three months, its checks for new cancer flare ups. It’s brilliant what they can do and very reassuring.
Maria pleased you and Rick are safely back home.
