Throwback floral Friday

Good Friday Morning Ladies,

Thank goodness it's Friday,   with Paul being super busy at work and Lucy and I doing wedding invitations etc I feel like I have hardly seen Paul this week.  So everything can go to one side until Monday and I plan to do nothing wedding orientated until Monday.

Yesterday was really busy, after very little sleep and feeling fragile because of Uti symptoms, a full day wedding shopping with 5 women was exhausting, they did get some ideas of styles and the shop had the perfect shade of Green and Champagne Dresses , they didn't have styles that everyone liked, Soph & Lucy looked stunning in any dress they tried on, they didn't love the cowl neckline that most of them seemed to have, so I think that they have decided to order their dresses online, frustratingly that seems more of a headache as you have the sizing issues, but fingers crossed they can all get what they need. After hours dress shopping we went to Hobbycraft for more invitation supplies. We got home and I crashed out.

Today I am sharing another simple floral card from last year,  fingers crossed normal services will resume on Monday (with new cards)

Here is how I made it ...

its a 'Pinspiration' card, I loved the simplicity of the one flower, which is a stamp from a set I've had for years called 'Tasteful Textures'.  I stamped the flower and cut it out and popped it onto a black mat that was 1/4 inch bigger, now came the tricky part ...working out exactly where to score the rectangle onto the card front to frame the focal piece, I did work it out after the second attempt though, it was worth the extra work though, as it finishes off the look really neatly.  Thank heavens for clear stamps and stamp platforms too, otherwise that sentiment would never have happened!! 🤣  I really liked how it turned out

Have a great Friday my lovelies,

Love & hugs to all of you,

Sandra xxx

  3. Hello my lovely, this is such a lovely throwback card, i love the simplicity and freshness of it. I hope you have recovered after yesterday’s excitement shopping for weddings outfits, your girls will look gorgeous in whatever colour they decide, will you be coordinating with them? There are so many colours and styles to choose from, it’s starting to get very exciting as the time gets closer. As a suggestion keep a personal diary even if you don’t get around to doing it every day, it will give you some lovely memories to look back on - moments that might otherwise be forgotten. XX
Today OH had an appointment at the Memory Clinic, it was very interesting to observe and I was asked to give some input, he wont hear anything until next Friday, they might be able to help with medication we just have to wait and see.
I am sitting down and trying to keep busy, if i sit back and relax i know i will fall asleep, i keep nodding off in the afternoons lately, mind you it doesn’t stop me sleeping at night.😴
Hope everyone is safe and warm, take care, love Brenda xxx

  4. Another lovely clean and simple card. I’m just no good at clean and simple. Love that colour pink.
Good luck to the girls manage to get their dresses, are you all co-ordinating colour wise. All of the men had the same colour ties to match the dress. I couldn’t find anything to match colour wise, I was so disappointed.
Love your idea of keeping a diary Brenda, wish I had done that.
Still sorting my room, want to do some sewing, but have to press all my fabric first, because I keep it folded in a drawer.
Take care Sandra and Karen, hope you will soon be feeling better.
    Night all Lilian
