One More Monochrome card

Good Morning Ladies,

Janet I am so pleased that the sun is shining for you and that you managed to post a comment yesterday.  We had a very overcast day yesterday,  it was much cooler too, I do hope the predicted cold May isn't right, warm sunshine makes everything feel better including your mood.

As predicted it was a quiet day here, Lucy was home but Flynn came back from Plymouth so she went off to fetch him late morning, I sat and had a little play in my craftroom.

Today's card is the result of my little play session, I stamped the flower in Versamark over a piece of Pool Party card, added white embossing powder and heat set,  I took thr pool party ink pad and a dauber and added a little ink to each flower blending outwards, I then added a little touch of Tranquil Tide to the very centre. I matted the pool party layer onto a narrow mat of Tranquil Tide card ans stamped the sentiment i  that colour too to tie everything together.  I finished by adding the piece to a white base card and adding a few Resin dots to the flower centres.  I hope you like it.

Now to set my brain into challenge mode, what shall we have as next weeks challenge????

I hope that you all have a good day,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra                                                                                  xxxxxx

  1. Lovely card SANDRA I love how you have created the background and just a simple sentiment as the focal point - another idea for a challenge- make a background and add a sentiment
Looking after Oscar yesterday afternoon was a real treat We watched an old episode of Strictly and he used his paddles to score along with them
A quiet day today I need to finish this top I am making so that I can pack away my sewing machine The top is awful but I have had fun making it

  2. Hi everyone
Lovely card today. A beautiful flower stamp and I love the colours you’ve used 😊
Just back from walking Barney, it’s much cooler out today with a fair breeze. I’m hoping the weather picks up again for May as Mark and I are back off to the hot tub lodge 🙂 Mind you, there’s nothing better than sitting in a bubbling hot tub in the cold…..it’s just the getting out that I don’t like! 😉
My eye test went ok yesterday, just need a slightly stronger prescription, so new glasses on order 🤓
Have a lovely day everyone whatever you’re doing. Sending hugs to you all xxx

  3. Hi everyone
    Another gorgeous card, lovely colours
I'm absolutely frozen. We went into town this morning and I had planned to make some crafting this afternoon but can't move from under my fleecy blanket at the mo and no pills gives any help. Really hope that the coldest May is coming I only a big joke or I will emigrate, not really but I need warmth.Anyone suffering with pain know what I mean so wrap up again if going out, take care and keep safe. Many hugs to you all, Maria xx

  4. Hello all, the sun has just come out, but the wind is mighty chilly.
No sitting outside today for my afternoon cuppa.

Another lovely card Sandra, you certainly have cracked this one, will try and do one tomorrow.
Still struggling with these albums , measuring all the card and paper is a real pain, don’t think I’ll get it finished by the weekend, when they are coming to visit.
Maria have you tried the little hand warmers, you shake them up and they stay warm for ages, I a put one in each pocket when it’s really cold. I also use a hot water bottle, it’s got a lovely fleecey cover.
Hope you all had a good day, hugs to all, Lilian.
