Hexagons & Bees

Good Morning Ladies,

The forecast is looking fantastic for the week ahead, today was bright but not much sun, is was much cooler than yesterday too.  Although it might have been that Paul and I both have a flu like bug, as I am writing this we haven't tested for Covid, Paul wanted to wait to see if we developed more symptoms, currently we both have a very sore throat and we are congested but no blocked nose and generally achy all over, even in finger joints etc. I feel exhausted, Paul did say he felt tired but put that down to being woken up coughing. My heart does tend to play up when I'm feeling unwell so that could be why I am feeling it.  Fingers crossed it isn't the dreaded covid, not because it will upset plans as we don't really have any for the next few days it just worries me, like many of you I have enough medical problems to deal with day to day and just don't need extra aches and pains!

I did force myself to go and make a card yesterday afternoon,  I had an idea 💡 pop into my head and wanted to make it before I forgot it (thats what usually happens).

I chose to use my Aall&Create Hexagon Stencil instead of an embossing folder, I placed my card (spritzed with water) onto my  plate, then the stencil,  then Tan mat and ran it through the die cutting machine,  I added Wild Honey and Scattered Straw Distress Oxide ink, leaving some white areas. I stamped 3 Bees onto some of the Embossed Hexagons and added gold embossing powder and heat set.  I have then die cut three Heagons in white and inked up through stencil to give a more textured look, I also die cut 3 gold slightly larger metallic hexagons to layer them up.

I layered my embossed piece onto a mat of gold metallic card and then onto a card base. I added a die cut sentiment onto the three hexagons and placed them on the card.  I added a few hexagonal sequins that were actually gold to the eye, but the AB coating on them caused them to look pink/green.

I hope that you all have a good day today my lovelies,

Love & Hugs to you all,

Sandra                                                                                  xxxxxx

We know how unwell you feel and hope that your GP might be able to suggest something to help relieve the symptoms and therefore not put an extra strain on your heart Please take care and don’t push yourself Ride it out (easy for mr me to say as I haven’t had it yet)

Sandra love your card, any card with bees on is a winner with me.
