Another Stunning Embossing Folder Challenge card from Sonia

Good Monday Morning Ladies,

Did you all have a lovely day yesterday?  We spent the whole afternoon in the garden, which was lovely,  there was a good breeze which made it slightly cooler than yesterday, it was still warm enough to sit out and enjoy the sunshine and listening to the 🐦 birds sing.   We keep trying to find places to hide the bitds mealworm feeder in the trees, so that the flaming nuisance Crows don't find them, as they end up flying off with the whole feeder.  We have so many nesting on the trees around the local farms, you can see 4 or 5 nests in every tree, I know that they need feeding too but they are too greedy and have bent out bird feeder as there were so many fighting over a fat block!! So far today they haven't spotted the mealworms, so fingers crossed the little birds can have a feast.

Sonia's Challenge card,

I did try to sit and summon some creativity yesterday,  I ended up tidying my desk and then just sat there not even being able to think about what I wanted to create,  so I gave up before I got too frustrated.

Thankfully our lovely Sonia made an extra Challenge card on Saturday so I saved it just in case I needed one for today. With Sonia's permission of course.

Sonia's Description:

I inked the embossed piece in Antique Linen, and the dotted embossed piece in Tattered Rose, as well as the butterfly. I found the dies from the frame in my stash - made a nice change to use something different. The sentiments are from The Stamp Market 😊

I love the embossing folder that you have used, it has an amazing texture, inking it has really highlighted the detail of the folder too.  What a perfect frame that die you discovered in your makes, the perfect size for highlighting the Butterfly 🦋.   I really love the muted tones of your card Sonia, an absolute stunner!

Thank you so much for another amazing Challenge card my lovely XXX

Ladies I hope that you all have an enjoyable day, I am thinking about taking a test today to see if I am still positive, though my symptoms are still hanging around so I'm not holding out much hope,  I think Paul can test first, if he is negative I might do one.

Sending love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra                                                                                  xxxxxx

  1. Beautiful card Sonia I just love your style
As OH was at Wembley I decided to get the sewing machine out BIG MISTAKE It took me 3 attempts to insert a zip and it still looks naff I then started hunting the house for a couple of dress patterns I’d bought recently I couldn’t find them but came across a huge pile of PRIMA magazines from 1987 to about 1991! I spent the afternoon in the summer house sifting through them I loved that magazine It always had a sewing pattern knitting pattern and lovely recipes every month
We are visiting OH’s sister today so just going to do a LFT
Have a lovely day whatever you’re up to and hope you’re all feeling better than yesterday xx

  2. Hi everyone
Thank you for sharing my card today 😊 Always happy to help 😘
It was lovely out in the sunshine yesterday wasn’t it, I hope it helped you all feel a little better. Fingers crossed for some negative test results xx
Karen, sorry to hear your sewing didn’t go so well, it’s frustrating when things don’t go to plan isn’t it. I hope you have a nice time today with your sister-in-law.
Nothing planned for us today, so I’m hoping to get some crafting done.
I watched Anatomy of a Scandal on Netflix over the weekend, and can thoroughly recommend it, if anyone - like me - spends a lot of time flicking through the tv channels and streaming services looking for something decent to watch 😊
Have a lovely day everyone. Sending hugs to you all xxx

  3. Morning everyone
Lovely card from our Sonia today. What is the name on the EF in the background ?
Yesterday was a beautiful day and I spent most of it outside. Son's girlfriend made a book with her own mandalas in so I did some colouring in while having t coffee out on the patio and listening to the bird's singing their hearts out. I'm sure that is more magpies and crow's then ever before and I hate them, especially after they ate and destroyed the nest in a bush at the back.
Have a good day everyone and stay safe. Hoping you are negative Sandra. Sending love and hugs to you all. Maria xx

  4. Good evening all, we had some sunshine today, not warm enough to sit outside though, cold wind.

Sonia love your card, those embossing folder are such useful folders, you are very good at balancing your cads, it’s where I fall down.

I have been making albums for my daughter for her birthday, there are two albums and a box to keep them in., using my Climt papers, a lot of work. When I signed up for the class, didn’t realise it would be so much work.
Hope you all had a good day, Lilian
