Your Next Challenge

Good Morning Ladies,

Here we are at the end of another week, even with having nothing much going on the days seem to fly.
Mind you this week I have been fretting about the results of ny scan, still no news, I might call the surgery today to ask if they have them.  Then hope that I don't have to wait for a week for a phone consultation.!

Your Next Challenge

For your next challenge I would like to make cards with......
Whatever craft products you bought last.

It doesn't matter when you bought it or what it is just incorporate it into your challenge card.

I look forward to seeing what you make  x

***************

I made this card yesterday afternoon using the Brand New 'Scripty' Embossing Folder from Stampin Up! I used the folder to emboss a piece of Green card, I placed this piece onto a piece of the same colour card that was 1/8th inch bigger and then onto a 6 x 6 card base.  The frame was made using 'SU' Woven Heirlooms ' Dies and Embossing folders. (You get an Oval and Rectangle frame die with matching Embossing Folder for each shape)
I used a Matt Gold card for the frame and corners.
Next I stamped my sentiment in ink to match the background card and placed it in the centre of the card with the frame on top.
I added some foliage and a bow topped with a flower, but I thought the card needed something 🤔 else, after a bit of thinking I decided on corners die cut in the same matt gold card as the frame, i finished those with a tiny pearl to match the one in the centre of the 🌼 flower!
What do you think?? I love it  😍 hahaha

I hope that you all have a lovely weekend

Love and hugs to all of you

Sandra

  1. Morning Ladies

Sandra-stunning Card & a great challenge. Your card would look great at a Christmas one too.

Much better day at work yesterday. Had an email to say a delivery was due out between 5-7pm do I cam straight home, finished my challenge cards while I was waiting and my delivery arrived 6:50pm from Hobbycraft (they use Hermes do I was concerned as I’ve had problems on the past). It was very odd being in the house on my own yesterday evening/night-hubby’s away for work. He’s home tonight. Some traveling will probably continue now each week -just feels weird after him being at home for over 16 weeks!

  2. Morning Everyone
Love today's card SANDRA and this week's Challenge. I'll just have to sort out something other than just 'plain 300gsm' white card which was delivered earlier this week.lol

Well another week gone and so it's that lovely 'swear' word day but at least the sun is shining this morning and it's quite warm. I also need to get my CC sent off so I'd better get a wriggle on.

The CAFE is OPEN and the freezer has ice creams in.
HUGS are winging their way to you all.PLEASE TAKE CARE AND STAY SAFExxxx

  3. Hi All, dull again but very warm, warm most of the night, didn’t get much sleep.

Great card today Sandra, love that embossing folder, nice to catch up with you yesterday, sorry Sue, forgot you were with Sandra.

A bit of watering, then some sewing, after that must get this weeks card done, want to try Sandra’s way of colouring with the dark side of cut and dried.

Well time to get up and face the day, hugs to all Lilian

  4. Hi Sandra & ladies
Lovely card today. I have loads of embossing folders that I no longer use.
A lovely warm day today so the washing in on the line. Not much on the cards today so might go over to Thrupp if the weather holds. I had made an appointment to see Doreen this afternoon. But one of the residents came down with Covid so the home is in lockdown again.
Take care & stay safe everyone.

  5. Hi Sandra and ladies in the cafe' today.
A Beautiful card Sandra and the corners do it. Like Michele saying I can see it as a x-mas card too. Hope you have a nice day spending it perhaps outdoors in the garden with Paul. Everything crossed for you my friend.
Next week challenge is a good one. For my B-day I got the £5 voucher from Hobbycraft so bought some stamps. One of them don't stamp very good tho so contacted them yesterday and someone was going to look in to it, what now that means ?
Sad Pat that you can't go and see Doreen, when will this covid stop to be spread around when people aren't doing what they are told ? Hope Doreen are doing alright.
It is very warm day so washing machine is going on full speed, hover will have to wait until tonight when hopefully it is a bit cooler, saying that like Lilian we didn't get much sleep for it was muggy and our lovely neighbours were busy "bunnies" 😑 if you know what I mean.
Brunch ready so best go but I wish you all a nice day and many hugs are sent to you all xxx

  8. Hello Sandra and Ladies,

Lovely card Sandra as others have said it would work so well as a Christmas card with a small change of embellishments. LOVE the embossing folder.xx

This last week I have been making Notelets, Thinking of you, GetWell and sympathy cards for my Sister, she has so many requests from her community she can’t keep up, so I offered to help her out. It’s lovely to be able to share and motivating to have a reason to craft. Mind you we have 5 upcoming birthdays and both daughters/SIL’s wedding anniversary’s all before mid August. So I have plenty to keep me busy and should be thinking seasonal cards soon. The only thing eldest grandson doesn’t allow us to use the “C” word until after his birthday, which is 25th November.

It’s been a lovely day here, wall to wall sunshine, Love it!

Have a lovely evening everyone, Love Brenda xxx
