Another TicTacToe Challenge card

Good Morning Ladies,

I hope that you are all well, we had a lovely sunny day yesterday,  although there was a cool wind that made we wish I had put a cardigan on when i left the house.

We all managed to get a haircut, at last!  Paul had his done Monday,  he was laughing when he came home as the girls in the hairdressers didn't recognise him at first, they were shocked at how thick his hair had got, to the point that they had to work down through the clipper blades!  As lovely and thick and curly can be, my heart did a little flip when I saw him with his short neat hair!
The girls and I had to go our hairdressers little home salon for this cut, she usually comes to us but with Covid  she is only working from salon.  We talked through the options for my hair and she thought it would be better to leave it longer as a trial, she cut some layers back in and angled my fringe, she said if I hate it she will redo it anytime.
She said it might look nicer with a bit of colour through it, so we will try that next time.  The girls both had a trim.

Today's card is another TicTacToe challenge card that I made while chatting to Pat. I used Categories: Birds/Twine/Leaves
I used the SU 'Best Birds' stamp set and matching dies to create my card,  I stamped the Bird and Branch and coloured them,  I then die cut them, I took my background piece and stamped that mesh looking background in Crumb Cake ink, I added this piece to a base card made using Pear Pizzaz card, befote attaching the card front I added some twine around the card and added a little flower.
I stamped the sentiment in the bottom corner then went on to place l the Branch and Bird onto the card with foam pads.

Hoping to see Sue today for some Crafting and chatting xx

I hope you all have a lovely day too,

Love & Hugs,

Sandra

Hoping to sew the pages in my book today, I usually buy ready made books to decorate, but wanted to have a go at making one from scatch.

  3. Hi Sandra & ladies
Lovely card today Sandra. I know you weren’t to sure about it but it turned out very well.
Loved your card yesterday Karen. Not my style but still loved it.
Sounds like you had a sad but lovely day yesterday.
I finished a card over Sandra’s and have started making a baby card for Helen ( Toms Jill’s DIL. She’s due in 5 times. I’m making it with the Clarity monthly plate which came on Monday. I’m meeting my friend over at Yarnton this morning, hope she remembers to bring her mask as we have to go through the garden shop.
Nice and sunny here at the moment a bit of a breeze but not to much.
NSW are in lockdown as they have quite a few new Covid cases. So Gill can no longer see Bryan.
Stay safe & take care everyone.

  6. Hi everyone
Love your card and the little bird. I was struggling with ideas for this challenge, but I actually got round to starting a second card yesterday afternoon. The first I made was a Christmas card, so that’s a bonus of having another one to add to this years stash 😊
Glad you got to the hairdressers, still undecided about what to do with mine!
Have a lovely time with Sue.
Hope you’re all having a good day. Hugs to all xxx

  7. Hi Sandra and all in the Cafe today. What a lovely card. A great one for the men. And doesn’t that little bit of crosshatch add so much. I’m glad we both managed to get a mask finished using our sewing machines. We started saying that we must have a sewing day. That was only 5 years ago! But it was fun (apart from some cotton getting tangled a couple of times) so we must do it again but not with a five year gap this time 😁
I also had a wonderful surprise from Sophie which was a portrait of Chris jnr that I’d asked her to draw as a present for my Chris. I wasn’t expecting it to be finished yet so it was a lovely surprise and as usual Sophie had done a fantastic job. I am amazed every time I look at her drawings and Chris was over the moon and he was also amazed at the detail she gets from just a pencil. Thanks again Soph xx
Karen, I’m glad you got through yesterday as well as possible x
Sending love and hugs to you all with extras for Lynda, Mum and all in need. Take care xx
