Good Morning Ladies,
A bit of a sad day today as Paul has had to go back to work, I have to say that I just love every single minute I get to spend with him. So I have to try and keep myself busy today, I will be doing a bit of reorganising in my craft room and then I want to make a start on something I have been wanting to do for a long time but I keep procrastinating rather than just getting on with it, doubting my abilities etc and that is to make a Journal/Junk Journal. I have seen so many different ones, it was Danielle that inspired me and her lovely friend Steph Stoker, they both make amazing Journals and Travellers Notebooks. I just need to grab some paper and get started !!
Todays card is from a new stamp set that I am totally in love with, its called 'Golden Afternoon',
although I am not sure why it is called that!
Both sets of trees are stunning with so much incredible detail, the stamp beautifully too, I absolutely love the font of the sentiments too, I think that I will be using this set rather a lot!!
For my card I stamped the larger of the two trees in Memento ink and added clear embossing powder and heat set. I coloured the trunk of the tree with Crumb Cake ink and the leaves with both the dark and light Stampin' Blends in Old Olive, I love how it turned out.
I then simply added on of the lovely sentiments and then matted my coloured piece onto Old Olive card and then popping that onto a Whisper white card base, its just a small almost notecard size : 4 3/4 X 5 1/4 .
But I thought it would make a nice 'just want to say Hi' card or a note to let you know I am thinking of you.
What do you think???
Now did any of you get anything Crafty for Christmas????
I didn't this year, it felt really odd not getting anything craft related at all, I would love to see your photos though to make up for the lack of mine !! lol xx
The good thing is that Farnborough Craft Show is just around the corner in February, which I am really looking forward too, it is one of the best craft shows that I have been to, its so well organised and its laid out perfectly with lots of room between rows of craft stalls and the stands are set out along the row rather than going back, which makes it so much more accessible even from a wheelchair, there is a good amount of room for eating your lunch too.
It is in a new hall at Farnborough this year though, I am keeping my fingers crossed that they haven't changed anything.
That's all from me for today, I hope that you are all well and getting back into your normal day to day routines. Janet has the Café back into full swing, so it would be lovely to see you all calling in for a coffee, chat and a calorie free cake!!
Sending love and hugs to all of you,
