Pat's Festive Friday

Good Friday Morning Ladies,

Pat has sent some of her lovely Christmas cards to me so that I could share them with all of you.

The first card Pat has made uses a 'Just Inklined' Stamp, such a beautiful winter scene, the street lamps lit give the card that real 'Snowy Evening' feel.  A lovely Christmas card Pat.

The next two cards Pat has made using the Stampin'Up! 'Star of Wonder' stamp set, along with the matching Die set.  The red card Pat has made by stamping the background with some stars that she has embellished with matching red gems, then Pat stamped two of the star flourish stamps that she topped with a die cut star, the first layer in gold, topped with a Red decorative layer to match the background, then finished with a detailed gold glitter layer.  Finished with the lovely Sentiment 'May your Season Merry and Your New Year be Bright'.

Pat's third card is Black and Gold and would work perfectly for this week's tictactoe Challenge, using Categories : Black/Gold/Heat Embossing.
Made similarly to the previous card but with a different stamped background.

Three fantastic Christmas cards Pat, thank you so much for sharing XXX.

We had a lovely day at Watford yesterday, I was a little worried when I first set off as I still had a high temperature, but I quickly took some paracetamol and ibuprofen and started to feel brighter, it was lovely to catch up everyone and so worth leaving my sick bed for! Lol, we had a nice lunch with plenty of chatter!
As with all of our meet ups though it was over way too fast.
The journey home was very frustrating though, taking us an extra hour.

A quiet day planned for me, I hope you all have a lovely day,

Love and hugs to all,

Sandra

  2. Morning Everyone
PAT- just love love your Festive Cards. They are gorgeous.

Hoping everyone arrived home safe and sound from Watford yesterday and that perhaps a more restful day is called for today to recover from all the chatting.lol

We have a very slight dusting of snow on the footpaths this morning and it's bitterly cold. The central heating is going full blastr. Well as it's that day again 'Friday' housework is on the agenda and then checking on wrapping paper in prep for wrapping.
Any needed will be bought tomorrow.

The CAFE is OPEN and is looking really welcoming this morning so pop in for a lovely warming cuppa and a chat.

HUGS are winging their way to you all. xxxx

I didn't finish all my cards yesterday so back in craft room again & try to finish them. Definitely going to make at least one or two cards a week I say that every year but never do it. Such a rush leaving them till December.
So better get in craft room before the day disappears again.
See you all later. Love Lynda xx

  5. Hello Sandra and everyone,

Sandra do I hope you’re feeling rested today, yesterday must have been so exhausting for you, I think you’re just a real trooper turning out. XX

PAT, I love your cards especially the ‘Star of Wonder’ Cards (only because I have these stamps ha ha) It was lovely seeing you yesterday, I didn’t think you were going to be able to make it as your life is a constant round of hospital visits. So what a bonus it was when you arrived. xx

Sending love and hugs to everyone, Love Brenda xxx

    1. Hi Brenda
Yes, Thursdays are one of the days we're not at a hospital. Funeral today and tomorrow. As Pete had some more Cancer cut out of his back, he now has another appointment in 2 weeks time. That 3 days up at the hospital the week before hospital.

Pat love your cards, been in my craft room this morning trying to get some cards made, I’m afraid they will be rather rough and ready this year.

  8. Hi Sandra and all in the Café today.
I must say how much I enjoyed the meet up yesterday. I was worried about you Sandra, you really weren't feeling well were you, especially on the drive to Watford. Must say another thank you to Paul for being the driver and also to Karen for organising the meet up. And yes, Karen it is my longer hair that makes me look different....think of being dragged through a hedge backwards and you will get the idea of what it looks like at the moment. Having a hair dresser for a daughter in law is terrible, because we see each other a lot it is always a case of "I must get you to cut my hair" then something happens and we don't make the date and another week goes by !!!!!
I hope you are feeling better today Sandra. We have spent the day with Mum and Pop, first time for a month!!!
Sending love and hugs to everyone with extras for Lilian and all in need. Take care xx

Sandra, I hope you've had an easy day today.
Went to Dereks funeral. Who is Ellis's neices husband. Had to go all the way to Banbury Crematorium, then back to Chippy Nortons Golf Club.
Tomorrow we go to Pete's cousins wife's funeral in Bampton. Hope the weather isn't to bad as it's a burial.
