Mixed Up Saturday

Mixed Craft Saturday

Good Morning Ladies,
I have some amazing projects to share with you today, we also get to see how amazing Michele's Christmas Fair table looked, which is amazing as you would expect.
So lets get straight into this weeks Crafts:

Danielle

Danielle kindly sent me a couple of the projects that she has been working on this week, to share with you all.  She has used the 'Hearts Come Home' SU dies to create those stunning Christmas tags, she has used Tempting Turquoise ink to create a watercolour wash across the background and then added some Dazzling Diamonds Glitter while it was still wet, that's what has created that amazing sparkle.
The two cards are just so adorable, Dannii has used the 'Baby Bear' stamp SU, which is a multi layer stamp, which gives that amazing textured look.
Danielle thank you for sharing your stunning projects with all of us.

Val

Val's daughter Lynn made this amazing Snowman out of Plastic cups, she simply stapled them together.  This is for a display in their shop.  What an amazing idea Lynn!
Thanks so much for sharing him with us Val.

Michele

Michele sent me a photo of her stall at the Charity Christmas Fair last night, your display items that you shared with us last week look amazing on your stall Michele.  I am absolutely amazed at how many cards that you have on display, your have worked your socks off!  Fingers crossed for a successful night.  Thank you for sharing your photo with us.

Brenda

Brenda has done a little shopping this week and has shared it with all of us.  You have bought some lovely things Brenda, the 'Colourful Seasons' stamp and die bundle, that gorgeous paper in the background is 'Affectionately Yours' and so is the matching Washi tape, I love that 'Marbled' Background stamp too, they are such an quick and easy way to create and effective background.
The ' Color Theory Memories and More' pack gives you lots of options, you can use the sheets to make cards or you can make Memory Albums with them as they have fantastic journalling tags etc too.  A great Stampin' Up! haul.
I also love your bargain Stitched Squares Dies, can I ask what size the largest one is?
These will be perfect for making toppers, adding sentiments or even making small cards.
Thank you so much Brenda for sharing your shopping.

Janet

Janet has been preparing for the gift giving season by making these stunning Gift Bags and an Individual Chocolate box, I expect you could get a nice piece of jewellery in there too Janet, we can all dream can't we?! The Images are from a lovely design company called ''House Of Sandra", I have a CDrom that was sold by Katy Sue Designs, I think you can buy the sheets of toppers etc too.
I love these bags Janet, perfect for any young lady, they are good for making a simple gift look something special.
Thank you so much for sharing Janet.

Lynda

Lynda has bought some lovely dies from China, a beautiful flourish and some flower dies, I would love to see them die cut Lynda, they look so pretty.
The Sheena 'Poppy' stamp is stunning, it is such a detailed stamp, you can even see the hairs on the poppy stems.  I think I have this stamp somewhere, it looks stunning when it is coloured in, poppies can be so many different colours too, I think many people forget that, we had wild ones on our allotment this year, they were gorgeous shades of pink and white.
Now onto Lynda's lovely Christmas cards, Lynda has used Pixie Powders to create all but one of her Christmas card backgrounds, so I bet they all shimmer beautifully, although Lynda has designed the cards all completely differently, they are all so colourful.  I think my favourite is the metallic background with the Rose Gold looking Fairy.  The other card Lynda has designed using Sue's weaving dies to create the background, them made a circular frame and decorated with a pretty poinsettia.
You must have a fantastic collection of Christmas cards now Lynda, I love how like me you make yours all completely different.
Thank you so much for sharing with us all today Lynda.
XXX

Thank you all for taking part this week, we have another amazing line up, you are all so talented.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Love and hugs to all,

Sandra

  2. Morning Everyone
What a fab array of goodies this morning.
I particularly love LYNN's SNOWMAN. He gorgeous and what a way to recycle plastic cups.

Now my gift bags and box are from a new CD I purchased recently.
The CD is called 'DAZZLING DRESSES' and is from that wonderful company called 'DOLLY DIMPLES'. If you remember I crafted a CUP/SAUCER OF ALICE IN WONDERLAND AND A CLOCK BOX also from the same company. The CD is packed with wonderful frocks and wonderful ideas on how to use them.

Off shopping this morning as usual so it's wrap up warm and hit the Christmas Shopping list. I can guarantee this afternoon will definitely be a feet up time.

The CAFE is OPEN and as usual there will be treats for afternoon tea today. Wrap up warm if going out everyone as we don't want any of those nasty germs falling on us.lol.
HUGS are winging their way to you all. xxxx

Lovely bags you've made. I have this dress stamp in a Christmas version. Though I must say I've never used it.

  3. Morning Sandra and all,
What a wonderful Mixed Up Saturday. We've got everything from stalls to stamps and all fantastic.
Lynn's Snowman does look good in the shop window. She is giving a prize of one of her home made Christmas cakes (she made 24) for the person who guesses how many cups have been used.
WOW it's cold here today. The wind is icy and I even had to put Gracies coat on her when we went for a walk. I think it's a day in my craft room, making cards and tidying the mess that is my craft room. I have a couple of orders for Christmas cards and still haven't made my cc. The house needs cleaning but it will have to wait until tomorrow.

Hope all are well. Special hugs to Lynda and Lilian and all not well. Xxx

    2. Hi Val
Love Lynn's snowman. I bet it looks fabulous in the shop. Sounds like the weather isn't very nice over in Spain. Petes daughter went over to Benidorm on Thursday with her partner to visit his Dad. It was Keith's 50th on Friday so he decided that's what they'd do. His Dad and his partner go over to Benidorm for about 5-6 months during our winter. Karen thinks it's going to ge warm, but I looked and it was 14 degrees. Warmer than here I must say though.

  4. Morning ladies,

What a beautiful array of delicious crafts and hauls to feast my eyes. Hope you did well at the church fair Michele.
Love the bags Janet, such a lovely way to decorate them too.
Stunning tags and cards Danielle, sure to please everyone.

What can I say about the snowman Val? He is stupendous and a good way to recycle plastic cups. I hope he is going to be in the shop all year round.
Brenda and Lynda's purchases are sure to give them tremendous fun and inspiration. looking forward to seeing more of your works of art from them.

Freezer is not even half full yet, I was very careful not to buy too much until I knew roughly how much I can get in it. All the packs that I have previously bought for the old freezer, were emptied and rewrapped into smaller portions so that we only ate what we took out to save wastage and space. It's amazing how much space boxes and packages take up.

That dreaded swearword (housework) is hovering on my lips today so I'd best get a wiggle on and make a start.

Tracy, if you are looking in....gentle hugs and healing prayers coming your way.

    Love 7 hugs

    1. Hi Cheryl
I always decant my food into portions that we can eat into bags, as your right. Boxes do take up a lot of room. Don't wear yourself out doing the dreaded housework.

  7. Meant to say ladies I had my first Christmas card yesterday from my friend Maureen. She's usually my first one. She lives in Yarnton which is about 7 miles from us going east towards Oxford. Letters then come into Witney where I live to be bagged up and despatched to Swindon. Which is about 20 odd miles to the West of us. To then come back to Witney to be sorted and sent out. How Crazy is that.

    1. Hi Lynda
Lovely buys this week and great cards. My craftroom is so messy it needs a major tidy up. So as per usual I'm using the dining room table much to Pete's disgust.

  14. Hi Danielle
Love the teddy cards and your tags. Sounds like you've had a lovely day today. My tree won't be going up yet though. A bit to early for me. Pete reckons they should go up Christmas Eve and come down on Boxing Day. Good job I take no notice.

  16. Hello Sandra and ladies,

I’ve already lost comment to cyberspace, it’s is so irritating that we can’t retrieve them. If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again! Here goes. I am also anonymous AGAIN.

DANIELLE, Love your cards and tags. xx
JANET, Beautiful gift bags, that CD was certainly a wise investment xx
LYNDA, Beautiful stamp and die, What a fantastic selection of cards xx
VAL, What an amazing Snowman Lynn has made. I’m sure he will get a lot of attention. xx
MICHELE, Wow your card display table looks beautiful, I hope your efforts were rewarding xx

Sandra you asked the size of my dies from the Works. The largest Die is four and three quarter inches square and smallest is one and a quarter inches. The Works have a lot of very reasonably priced dies - worth a look if you are going there.

Love and hugs to all, Anonymous - AKA Brenda xxx
