Jess's Craft room before/after and a giggle from Patricia !

Jess's Craft room under construction

Jess taking photo of her progress!
Everything ready to get put back in place

Now Look at that for organisation!

Lots of lovely organised storage

Even more super tidy storage space.

Good Tuesday Morning ladies,
Today I wanted to share with you the amazing transformation of Jess's Craft room, it is amazing what a difference a lick of paint can make, it makes the whole space look bigger and so much brighter.
I am just sat looking in amazement at your amazingly organised room, the lovely tray of printer paper, all organised into trays beside the printer all ready to go, in our house you have to go find the paper first!
Your workspace looks very neat too, with both your Grand Calibur and your Cuttlebug to hand when you need them, with all the plates neatly organised too. Your TV ready to watch your Crafting programmes, before to set your record as Sue is on on the 23rd I think.
You have some lovely storage units, I love the wooden ones, they look a good size for all kinds of different of papers etc.
The cupboard looks too tidy though, with the bits and bobs in various storage tubs to the not yet filled tubs, awaiting your next purchase, so that you can pop it in there quick and pretend you have had it years! (not that that's what I do) 0f course!!
You must have been just 'itching' to get in there and craft, if you were like me it would be chaos in minutes!  Are you a good girl and tidy up after every card you make??
Thank you so much for sharing your Personal work space with us all Jess, we all love to share storage ideas, so these photos are really helpful. xxxx
Patricia sent me this hilarious verse about 'Granny being swallowed by the Computer' so I thought I would share it with you all today to bring a little smile to your faces!
Cheryl, What a fantastic achievement, raising so much money for charity, well done xxxx
Hazel, so thrilled your news was so positive, now take it easy these next few days please! xx
Thank you all for stopping by today, please call in if you are looking in, you will be made very welcome, we are a lovely bunch of friends that chat daily, put the world to rights and generally have a really good laugh.
Sending you all love and hugs
Sandra

  1. Good morning ladie,
Jess, your room is amazing. Please get yourself to Newcastle and re-organise
my craft room. The thought of removing everything to restock it fills me with dread!!
Well, I've lain awake half the night so thought I'd log on and set the Cafe up. For a change, I've made some savoury things, so there are cheese scones and a corned beef hash pie which is still warm.
The coffee percolator is switched on, the water urn is filled and switched on, I've put some nice Lavender and Rosemary in the little vases, so the cafe should smell lovely. I'm just sitting in the corner, waiting for Patricia or Hazel, I wonder who will be first. I have a feeling one of them has snuck in under the fence!!!
    Hope you are well Sandra.
    Love and hugs, Muriel xxxx

  2. Good morning everyone,
Oh! Wow! MAUREEN:- hope your ok. (((((Hugs)))))
That cold must be worse than I thought.
Never mind you have made lots of goodies for during the day. Will be back for some of that Cornd Beef Pie and a Cheese Scone later.
JESS:- WOW! Oh! WOW! what a transformation. Oh! You lucky, lucky, lady ..... to have a space like that would be heaven. Love all the different spaces for goodies. When can I come visit for a "viewing"??
My little poem I got fromThomas when he first went to school. It was given to them by their teacher as a funny. However Thomas being Thomas actually worried because he thought it could happen. We found it the other day, when I told him the story, he looked at me as though I was daft (suppose he's not far wrong there) and had a good laugh.
I have a few things to do this morning, the boys are coming for the afternoon.
We have a great evening, last night, the boys wanted to stay overnight. Mum & Dad said NO! We came to an agreement and they coming for the afternoon. Mum has food shopping she will do that on her own while they are here.
Hugs in the basket by the door, please help yourself.
    See you all later xxx

Jess-WOW! I have craft room envy now...!!! Your toom looks fantastic with all the shelving filled, tv on the wall. It looks like a wonderful place where you can see just what you have & want to use.Think i'm going to inform hubby he needs to put some shelves up in my room now.

It's very, very windy here today & had rained again during tbe night. I didn't sleep much, just kept trying to get comfortable. I'm sure a busy day at work will distract me.

  4. Sorry Maureen, I would have been in earlier. Was up at 5.30 and decided I wasnt going back to bed, started reading a book! And I must have fallen a sleep. Charlie coming down stairs woke me up. Are you feeling any better this morning by the way, did your hot lemonade work??.. Cafe looks and smells lovely.
Good morning everyone. The sun is trying to shine here so here's hoping it stays.
Jess, am I jealous or what at your space??? Yes! All your wonderful storage what I could do with it. But hey ho! I will never get Charlie to put up more shelves and let me get rid of the bed. Had to laugh last night Christopher son phone asking what was happening while Roberta was here, told that at the moment we weren't sure where or what she would like to do? He then asked if I had got the room ready so she could move in it? That's what made me laugh, as my son and daughter in law are not tidy people at all? A bomb site is how I would discribe their home! I did offer to bring Roberta across to theirs well the excuses were brilliant. Same as he was trying to say where we should take her on trips out, it was " I hope you are going to take her to places like Edinburgh and up to fort William way" I did suggest he could come and take her out one day? Oh we could but no back up came from that. As if we would let her come over here and go no where with her!!! Had a chat with Roberta via I messagener last night, she is so excited and can't wait to set of today. She has a drive to the ferry and a 2 hour crossing then a 3/4 hour drive to the airport that's before her 2 hour wait at the airport and a 10 hour flight, so she is going to be so tired, by the time she gets here, if the traffic is ok it will be about an hour and half to get her. And Christopher thinks she will be up to going out and about on Thursdays. He also forgets none of us are young anymore. Had my tea and I had a toasted crumpet. Money in the pot.
Sandra I take it you are relaxing, you have two young ones there that I hope are looking after you and helping dad by doing the hoovering etc.

Roberta will be tired and jetlagged for at least a few day's and I'm sure you will take her places but saying that when my parents was over one year and we drove them around they weren't happy so ask her what she like to do. Hope she has a good journey over xxx

    3. Yes we are going to see what Roberta would like to see and go, Christopher is a fantastic cook but I doubt you could find an inch of space in their house to sit and eat, they just move the stuff from one place to another when they sit to eat at the table. DIL doesn't do housework. Xxx

  8. Good morning Sandra and all who pop in,
Well that was a surprise, Muriel in first. Mind you had it been Myra I would have collapsed. Love the lavender and Rosemary, not sure about corned beef pie this early though. Bit spooky as well because that is what I made for our evening meal yesterday, it wasn't pie, it was hash but still spooky seeing as it's something I rarely make. Hope you are feeling a bit better today Muriel.
I was up early, dressed and showered, make up on, hair done etc. just in case the carpenter came to call.
Hazel, one of my girls sounds just like your son. She starts a lot of her sentences with, "I thought you might" and when I turn it round and ask if perhaps she "might" then it's a different matter.
Michele, I can't believe you have gone into work, make sure you drink plenty.
Patricia your poem made me chuckle and I can well understand Thomas thinking it could happen and worrying about it.
Well Jess, what can I say. Envy doesn't come near to how I feel, I am positively green. All those shelves, all that storage, I can only dream! And may I say your photography skills are amazing, I've heard of selfies but to get one from behind is very clever.

WOW! Jess, your room looks fabulous with so much storage space. Isn't it a treat though when you are finally finished, everything back in it's place and you can craft to your heart's content? have fun flower.

It is was so lovely to surprize Maureen yesterday with a phone call and her voice was soft and gentle, just like I imagined. Good morning dear heart.

I'm off to do my early shopping trip, I have the fantastic, adorable, kissable & cuddly Milly-May coming with Mum and Dad tomorrow for a whole day, not just a couple of hours. They have opted for one of my 'famous roast dinners' for lunch but no lamb in my freezer apart from a huge leg of lamb that was on offer in Aldi's on Sunday. Too much for 3 of us, so off to get a smaller joint.

Hope everyone is well, see you later alligators.

  12. Wow your craft room looks amazing Jess. I should do mine but it is too much of an effort. Well we got the cards and boxes for Scarlett's teachers made and she will take them in today. She did try using the GC but found it hard so Nannie had to help a bit. I cut the flowers and she rolled them together. As the Cosmic Shimmer Glue wouldn't stick them I used the glue gun. Burned my fingers a few times. Scarlett made the little boxes for the jewellery with the WRMK box maker. I forgot to take tissue with me but she found a large bag of assorted colours tissue paper in her draw. It came from Hobbycraft I noticed. Haven't seen that in there. When unwrapped they must be at least A2 size sheets.
Welcome to Laura. You will enjoy it here. Off out for the day with a friend. Take care everyone. Have a nice day. Maureen, Michele and Lynda hope you all feel better soon. Hope I haven't forgotten anyone. Oh yes! Maria hope you feel better today. Hugs in the basket. Will just have a cup of tea and some toast and Marmite. Back later to see what you have all been up to.

Just a flying visit as I need to pop to the shops then off to the retirement tea this afternoon. I've just text the teacher organising it to say I'm around so I suspect I shall either be asked to help or will be asked if I've got sake stands plates cups etc! I know school so well! (Cake stands! I'm not going back to correct it!) . Jess your room is lovely (wow you are clever with your selfie too!). IKEA do brilliant storage don't they. Have you got an Alex? It's a draw set that holds paper- our printer sits on it and it's fab, we all know where to look if I say look in Alex! Our study needs such a good sort out after exams I can't see the floor so getting craft stuff out is a nightmare! Enjoy using your room Jess. Right must go to the shops to get some retirement gifts, oh no the shop I need is next to hobbycraft :) see you all later.

What an interesting morning on the blog!
I can't handle much excitement before noon you know !
Jess - Your craft room looks really gorgeous. I love how you've got spare boxes! You must have really tidied up to do that. Mine so needs to be decorated but it's such a daunting prospect. Oh Jess , now look what you've done! Enjoy your lovely clean, tidy room. Wee Henry will need a holiday now!
Patricia - I love that poem and have saved it . It's really good.
Maureen - I do hope you are feeling a little better today. You have a soft gentle voice, just like you! I've made up some abbreviations for you today, GWS x
Saba - I wonder if it's cheddar cheese in these lovely scones today.
Diane - enjoy the Tea today and go mad in Hobbycraft!

    Have a lovely day out.
Michele - please take care and do overdo things especially when you are not sleeping well either

  17. Afternoon Everyone
Isn't it lovely to have a new face in the café today.

Jess - I'M NOT AT ALL IN ENVY OF YOUR NEW CRAFT ROOM. I AM NOT. Well yes I am. It looks fantastic and so so controlled and tidy. I would hate you to see me when I'm crafting - it depends on what the weather is like warm or cold veranda or kitchen over here and the dining room in the UK but I do leave a trail just like Babes in the Wood. Your room looks fantastic.
Patricia your poem is just wonderful and certainly brought a smile to me face. I hope you don't mind but I too have borrowed it for future occasions.

Patricia how I wish you were here with me today. I started to make a box this morning -normally I don't do boxes- but we need one for a present for Josh who is coming to stay at the end of next week for a few days. I finally did manage but I'm sure there is an easier way than the one I did. All I have to do now is decorate it tomorrow morning while I can cope and it's not too hot.

Michele you really should be at home and not at work - just take care young lady.
Margaret hope your new pot is OK and that you're getting around
Hazel fantastic news for you yesterday but please don't do too much at one time. Remember there's always another day and everything will still be there for you to do.
Saba hope you're not out shopping again.
Sandra I hope you're enjoying the first week of the girls' holidays but not doing too much.

Sorry if I've missed anyone but the heat has got to my little grey cell and so I'm now off to find a cool place and try and do a bit of embroidery. Talc tin at the ready to stop sweaty hands on silk.

  18. My goodness me it's busy in here this morning, what a lovely sound, all the chatter and giggling at Patricia's poem, then in amongst all that we gad a new visitor popped their head around the door......
Welcome Laura, have you been looking in long before taking that step into join us? Now we aren't all crazy, (well that's a fib), but our cafe is 'virtual' the cakes are delicious but contain zero calories, just help yourself , I see that Maureen has made corned beef hash pie today and cheese scones, Maureen what's your secret, the scones are deliscious and have risen so much,
The Lavender and Rosemary look and smell divine, matching the table covers perfectly, thank you for getting in so early to help.
Brenda, I, like you always manage to burn myself on the hot glue gun, doesn't matter how careful I am, put I am hooked on making those little glitter dazzlers that mrs B and I made the other week.
Anne, so lovely to see you in again this morning, enjoy your golf, I will put you a piece of Maureen's pie to one side, so that it doesn't get eaten up at lunch time.
Hazel, have you had a knock on the head? My girls, hoover? They wouldn't know what to do with it, I may try and motivate them into doing something this afternoon, Lucy has slept and slept since getting back from her music residential trip, she said that one of the girls in their dorm snored really loud so they couldn't sleep, with that and all the exams they are both exhausted, but I think they have had enough rest!
I have GP appointment tomorrow for medication review and to see if she will give me some Norethisterone or something similar to try and ease things while we are in holiday, we are also going to ask if she can help with a nightmare situation that Paul was notified of on Friday (email me if you want to know more)
With the problems caused recently by certain people looking to cause trouble I am cautious about what I write, but I am perfectly happy to share with you all by email. I just can't be doing with anymore silliness and trouble, it is reassuring to know that Hazel's neighbour is monitoring things though!
Have any of you taken Norethisterone before, did it help you ?
I am just off to switch the kettle on for Paul coming in for lunch, he will have to put the dishwasher in the cafe on too, Maureen your pie has gone down very well, could you please tell me how you made it, my mum's idea of corned beef hash was too mash up corned beef with mash potatoes, my mum in law made hers by mashing up corned beef and mixing with grated onion and potato and cooking (a bit like potato rosti)!
I would love to hear how you all make it and might do it for tea tonight!
    Love and hugs

Jess I just love your craft room. Is it still looking like this after you've used it to make cards. Mine is a total mess, even when I tidy up it looks a mess. Must get some more boxes to store things in. IE cards and card etc.
Oh Patricia how Pete and I laughed reading your poem out. I think it was fantastic. It's so apt as we all loose things on the computer. I wonder if that's where all the messages that are lost get to.

  22. Hi everyone, back from friends craft shop, on to the saga of the craft room. It took over a week to do.
Took everything out put it in various rooms, emulsioned the ceiling and walls, walls needed a second coat!!, built up the shelf unit, brought things back in, then the fun started, deciding where to put things ( still haven't done all that). I do try and tidy up when I'm finished.
Want to try and get ribbons with the same colours in boxes, long task, I could sell you ribbon!!
The stuff I don't use very often will be put up on the top shelf, Christmas stamps and dies etc.,
There is another walk in cupboard in this room, and my scrap booking stuff is in
there along with loads of books, CDs, dishes, photo frames, spare kitchen roll,
toilet rolls. Don't want to even try and sort this out, the bi-fold doors hide a multitude of sins.
Hope everyone is having a good day.
Need to go and read up on today's previous comments
    Take care, xxxx

    1. Jess I keep some of my ribbon on long fowling poles that one day will be put on cup hooks! They just stand in the corner most of the time but it's a great way to store reels of ribbon - I then have another box of loose ribbon but that's another story! Xx

  23. Hi Sandra and all in today,
Oh that lovely smell is still lingering in here from the hash and those yummy scones. Jess ,you lucky girl to have your very own craft room. It looks great and so many places to keep your crafting items that's a bonus. What is your favourite craft to do ?
Hazel - I hope you are having a bit of rest before the big day but knowing you, you will be running around like a headless chicken. Try to take some "me time" or you will be burning yourself out. Fabulous news about the results, Hugs
I started the morning with washing x 2 then went shopping, put it all away and then took the washing basket out to my wonky drier LoL! As the weather here is lovely today we decided on cleaning the patio, OH attached all the bits and I did the cleaning, we bought a new Karcher last year with the brush thingy and it is good, might not do it perfect but better then with all the work we used to have with just the jet nozzles. It was great fun and I looked liked a drenched cat afterwards hihi
I even could taste sand in my mouth but it's now all done for another year.
Lynda -hope you are feeling better today and how is things with little Annie ?
Glad your more decent today Saba tihi How came knocking on the door ?
Norah -how you doing ? If you read this I'm sending you a hug and hope all goes ok at your mum's house, that Kirsten and baby is doing fine and Rory enjoying what he do.
Nice to see some more customers /friends through the door, did you wait long to get a seat? tihi We might have to ask Paul if we can build the cafe' out a bit more so we can accommodate everyone, what do you think Sandra.
The Corned Beef hash you have here in England is very similar to our ' Lappkojs' but we used tinned Salt Beef but since coming here I use the Corned Beef too.
Mashed potatoes, Onions and the Corned Beef mixed together and don't forget the Crinkled Beetroots to it, not ketchup like my OH and son using, mmmmm!
Never had it as a pie but that sound good too. See you later ,
    love and hugs Maria xxx

  24. Well we had a day at Marlow. Was lovely but tiring. Just kept finding a seat to sit on. Don't seem to have the energy I used to have. Lots of 50% off sales but still expensive. It was all designer boutiques. I don't need anymore summer clothes as bought several things for my holiday so that's it for the summer. No craft shops. There was a sewing shop and I bought ribbon so it wasn't an expensive day out. I also found someone's bank card in the car park machine so took that to the bank. I have got the fold over flower die now so will make some flowers to finish a picture I am doing for my other granddaughter. Will have a much needed cup of tea (the water I took out with me was quite warm when I finished it) and a fruit scone. Money in pot. Be back later

    2. Know what you mean Myra. I also have loads but didn't want to walk out of the shop without buying anything. The two ladies were a bit pushy we thought. My friend bought two knitting patterns and they kept trying to see her some yarn. We only had to look at some and they pounced on us but we know we can buy yarn much cheaper in another shop so will go there.

      Delete
    3. Oh Brenda! I do hate it when I get pounced on in a shop. If only they would realise that they are more likely to get a sale if they leave people in peace. I like it when I'm asked if I'm happy to browse. That way everyone is comfortable. Xxx

    6. Diane, it sounds like she bought it before she handed it over, BUT we know what she meant!!! But it goes to show its what some would do?
At least Brenda handed it in, I bet the owner was in a panic? xxx

      Delete
    7. No the die came in the post yesterday from Icon. No craft shops in Marlow. Yes I am sure the person who lost the bank card panicked but I didn't want to leave if in the machine as you never know who might have found it and what might have happened to it. I am sure I would of panicked if it was mine. The thing is they have a new paying system in this car park. You have to remember what time you arrived and when you leave you put your car reg in and the day and what time you arrived and then it tells you how much to pay. You have to leave within 10 mins so whoever left the card would have driven out of the car park by the time I found it.

  25. Ooh I am cross. I am very very very cross. I am so cross I don't know where to start. As you know yesterday I had to go and see the GP re blood results. Well, having brought a copy of the results home to study, I decided today to go back, there were one or two things I wanted to discuss with her. She is so rude I wish I had never bothered. She talked down to me as if I was stupid. Then when I reminded her she had said previously that I should have a course of massage for the muscle pain she nearly flipped her lid and said she had a budget to keep, but seeing as I was implying I needed it she would prescribe it. It was her who had suggested it in the first place. I was very polite and tried to make her understand that never being ill before I naturally was a little concerned about it all and needed to understand fully what was happening to me and what the future treatment would be once everything stabilises. She looked me in the eye and said " there are worse illnesses you could be suffering from" . I was a tad taken aback.
Anyway I got my prescription and went to the physiotherapy practice to make an appointment only to be told that what she had prescribed were exercises and they would not be beneficial and she should have prescribed massage.(I thought she had) so back to the GP, she had another little hissy fit and reluctantly changed it to what she was supposed to prescribe in the first place.
It gets worse! I returned to the physio practice and the very nice young man said she had now made a mistake on the form and I needed her to correct it, so I should go back!!
There were nearly tears, and then I thought STUFF HER. Shoulders back, chin up and back I went. And do you know what she did, she actually tutted. She tutted at me. It was a very impressive tut, I think she has been practising it but I don't like to be tutted at and I was extremely cross but lovely ladies having got it off my chest to you I feel so much better.
Off to make myself a nice gin and tonic now.

    1. Oh Barbara! Cheeky woman! No wonder you were cross. I know you , you are not pushy and surely she should understand that you are fully capable of understanding all that she can tell you! I'd get a bit muddled probably but you have a medical background! There is no need for rudeness and tutting is just not on! Who made the mistakes anyhow - not you !
Enjoy your G&T !! We're a bit late tonight . Dinner only just gone in the oven. Thankfully no one is cross,
Just realised I called you Barbara! I'm not changing it - it is your name after all. Xxx

    4. Cross Saba I would have been stamping my feet and having a fit, how dare she talk to any. One lije that, does she forget that with patients she would be out if a job! No she needs to be put in her place. As Myra says" you have medical Knowledge" so you know what right and what wrong. I am glad you went back again as it will let get know you are not a walk over. 5. I think that was very rude of her. We wouldn't be able to go back to see the Dr. Would have to see the receptionist and they would decide what to do and probably give the note back to the Dr after surgery if you are lucky. Hope you don't have anymore trouble with her.

      Delete
    6. Saba what dreadful behaviour from the doctor! Do they have a practise manager you can complain to like we do in England or is it just her? I should think the physio practise will back you up if you do complain. I hope the G&T helped xxx

      Delete
    7. Diane, the G & T helped enormously and no they don't have practice managers here. It's all very backward, her practice, her rules.
Having said that, we don't have appointments you just go in and wait to be seen and if you decide you need to see a specialist you just phone up and make an appointment, usually within a day or two.
I will probably go to another doctor in future when our old GP finally retires, he still does two half days so in the meantime I will make sure I go when he is there.

WHAT was I thinking of? Corned beef hash pie for breakfast!!! My only excuse was that I'd been up at 2 having a cup of coffee and a biscuit, then watched the world news on TV with the sound very low as it usually lulls me back to sleep, only it didn't, so by the time 6 a.m. came I thought it was lunch time ha ha. Still it was tasty, and I do have it with beetroot on the side Maria, together with pease pudding and maybe a few pickles.
I don't do measuring, just a large tin of corned beef, a couple of large (ish) potatoes and 1 onion grated, add seasoning, and mix well. Make shortcrust pastry from Bero book recipe, layer pie plate with pastry, pile hash on, cover with rest of pastry, brush with egg and pop into oven. Bish, bosh, bang. It always goes down very well at family parties, so well that I have to make two large ones.
Right, Maria I hope your tummy is settling down and that you feel a bit better, when do you go for your scan?
Brenda LL hot glue guns are deadly - and I've got the scars to prove it!! lol I'm glad that Scarlett got her things made and was happy with them.
Pat, I only have a laptop. I haven't progressed to an I phone yet!!!
I nearly swallowed my tonsils when Cheryl said I had a soft and gentle voice, what's the equivalent of Specsavers but for the ears!!!!! Well she should've gone there ha ha.
Ooh, isn't it lovely, we have a new victim oops I mean visitor to the Cafe.
WELCOME, sit down, pull up a chair and tell me all about yourself. (only kidding). It's lovely to see you, and I hope I haven't frightened you away, I'm pretty harmless really.
Michele, what you doing at work today? You should have taken the day off as you aren't well. You really have to listen to us oldies because we have all been there, done that, got the T shirt, and realised that in the end it didn't make the slightest bit of difference.
My voice is slowly coming back and George is distraught ha ha.
Oh I got a Window Vac today (well George collected it) from John Lewis. I saw an ad on TV last night by Currys/PC World advertising it for £39. Went onto the John Lewis website and there it was, bold as brass, for the same amount, so I ordered it and he collected it today. Even better, I had £18 in bits and bobs of gift tokens so only had to pay £21. Oh happy day!!
I'm going now to give you all a rest and make myself a coffee (He's out bowling), then I have to arrange the car insurance - it will be press 1, press 2, press zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. I loath it.
Sandra, an e mail will be winging it's way to you.

Boys arrived here 12.30 having had their lunch. They went off home at 4.45pm for tea at their own house. They went after eating their way through almost a whole small sliced crusty loaf and drinking 2 pints of milk. They also had some cake and chocolate. Grandpa is a Chronic Chocoholic, I have to stop him offering the boys chocolate ... they don't need it. Thomas has expensive taste and Loves Lint Choclate Balls. Robert he just eats anything that is chocolate!!!

JANET:- wish I could have helped you. For me Boxes are simple, I know from doing the craft classes people find them difficult. Once you "get it" they are easy.
SABA:- I keep thinking of you and that Doctor I am proud of you not "punching her lights out"
Today I have had a funny feeling in my right hand. Just had a proper look at it and it is very swollen. Not my fingers just across the back of my hand, wonder if I have been bitten by something, Mmmm!!,very peculiar.
LAURA:- was that you that kept looking in the window?? Glad you have picked up the courage to come in.
ANNE :- glad you have become a regular.

You don't need to DO anything to enjoy yourselves.

  41. Hi everyone
For some reason iPad has decided not to let me comment on a few people, not sure why so hope this publishes. Oh Muriel loved your knicker comment, yes I know what you mean! It takes ages going up and down but well worth it.
I had a lovely afternoon catching up with old and new staff at the school. My friend loved her cake and the three ladies who are retiring all loved their roses I gave them. I'm going in again tomorrow for the leavers assembly - guaranteed not a dry eye in the house! I wore my walk away dress today - hmmm not only does it take more than 2 hours to make but when you are in a wind tunnel area like I was you have to tuck the skirt between your knees - doesn't keep your modesty at the back! Good thing I had clean knickers on is all I will say!!! Well ladies I think I'm going to toddle off to bed, must be all the fresh air and cake! See you all tomorrow, night night sleep tight xxx

Saba -what will you wear for you polish electrician, something flowing maybe oh it doesn't matter they take you as you are.
Maureen is off seeing Mr Sandman, hope you two have a lovely time and tell him to be nice. Have a nice day tomorrow!
Ooh Diane, those wind tunnels can be a problem. No baked beans and broccoli might help before going out and don't forget the tissues and the Tena's just incase.
I hope our missing family members are ok and just busy, take care girls!
      hugs Maria xxx
