The Most Beautiful Wedding card by Anne !

A Beautiful Wedding Card

Good Thursday Morning Ladies,
I couldn't wait to share with you this Beautiful wedding card created by our very own Anne,
it is so elegant.
The picture of the amazing beach in the frame makes the card just perfect for those tropical beach
weddings, Anne this is pure genius idea, I love it and I think that it will inspire a lot of others too,
you could put a photo of most venue's in that window.
I love that stamped image too, what stamp have you used??
I can see that you have used the Creative Expressions Heart Lattice Embossing folder for the background.  The Flowers are (CE) Faux Quilled Blooms and (CE) Ivy dies, all designed by Sue Wilson.  The Border is Spellbinders Floral Doily Accents Border Die, so pretty, I must make a conscious effort to go back and use these dies.
I love the touch of gold in the matting and layering, perfectly picked out in the gold centres of the flowers.  Anne, thank you so very much for allowing to share your amazing wedding card xx

This card seems so fitting for today, its Hazel's daughter Gillian & Andrew's wedding day today,
I would personally like to wish the pair of them a 'Lifetime of Happiness'.
Hazel I hope that the day goes smoothly, the sun shines and that you have a totally amazing day.
Love and Hugs to all of you,
Sandra

  1. Good morning Sandra and all the Gang.
Everything done for the day, have put a few extra goodies in the fridge. A wee treat seeing you can't all join in the Wedding Festivities.
I have all my things ready, Yes!! we have even managed to "find" all John's "stuff" as well. Just have his shirt to iron (it has been ironed but I will run over it again) and that's us.
We don't have to leave till just after lunch, I am sure the time will disappear very quickly till about 1 hour before we leave then it will "drag"
I would like to say "Thank You" for all your good wishes for Gillian & Andrew and of course for all your Sun Dancing. It's worked, it's a beautiful day, sun shining, sky blue. Gillian will be a Happy Bunny when she opens the curtains this morning.
I just hope my sister does not get herself in too much of a Tizzy. I know Hazel will be anxious of course she will, everything will go just brilliant I am sure.
Taking my Tea & Toast over to that corner table by the window. Won't stay long but you never know who might pop in early. I might linger longer than I should.
(((((Hugs)))))in the basket by the door, please help yourself. Xxx

    6. Have a wonderful time at Gillian's wedding. So please to hear you had found John's bits for him and that he is not wearing the new pants. How I chuckled over that little story, it reminded me of an email I was sent whilst recovering from the kidney op
. If you have a very broad mind I'll send it on but fair warning it is quite explicit.
Pete had same problem, could never find anything even if I told him exactly where it was bless him. Must be a man thing.

  2. Good morning Sandra and everyone.
Anne, your card is beautiful, love the insert of the beach photo. A lovely keep sake.
Well thank you all for the sun dances as big sis has said it has worked, but I will tell you some thing there was a right nip in the air when I went out to the bin. More October than July that's for sure. As long as it stays like this we will be happy. And thank you all again for the well wishes for Gillian and Andrew.
I am chilled, I will have a cup of tea and toast please. I will then get showered and dressed as I know that before I know it, it will be time to go and get my hair done. At least with Harris not being here we won't be falling over him, I know he would be under our feet, he doesn't like when things like this are going on. ( I know he is a dog, but they don't like change or that )
Right off to just sit and have my cup of tea and people watch, not that there are many round at this time in the morning. xxx

  3. Morning Ladies

Anne-what a beautiful wedding card. Your idea could be personalised by changing the picture/photo -perfect.

Hazel (&Patricia) -I hope everything work out wonderfully today for the wedding & hope the sky stays blue.

I did pop back in late last night to read a few comments but I was too tired to add any. Got home around 9.30pm after meeting my friend at 6.30!!!! Quick phone call to hubby then had a bath and read in bed til 11.15 which is quite late for me.

I wonder what today will bring at work-something's bound to "happen"!! I think I might ask my boss if I can finish early today as I have quite a bit of time owed to me.

What a lovely card from Anne today. I find Wedding Cards quite hard to get right but this one is a real beauty. As has been said the little picture can be changed and it would completely alter the colours and card. I love the stamp too.
Many thanks Anne for sharing with us.

  7. Hello Sandra,
What mischief did you all get up to yesterday, I'd love to be a fly on the wall at these get togethers, but come October we will all find out!!!!
Anne, what a brilliant card, it's such a good idea and, as Sandra said, you could insert any venue in the aperture.
Well, we've managed to draw the rain from Hazel's part of the woods, although it's starting to fair up now. I can hear the excitement that's going on in Scotland down here. Has John put on a wee bit of weight since he last wore the kilt, no he's breathed in and all is well, ok he can take it off now and get ready later, it's too soon to sit around in it. You can breathe easy Patricia, he's organised, and you'll look fabulous - as usual - when you get ready.
Now Hazel, you've remembered everything, and it all looks lovely. You'll look fantastic and your dress is beautiful. Charlie always looks fine, so don't worry there, and Harris is well looked after, so Bob's your uncle and Fanny's your aunt. Sorted!!!! Now all you have to do is have a wonderful day and feel so proud.
Right, I'm away to do a bit of quiet housework while George is still in bed, and then I'll hoover in about an hour.
See you all later, ooh I'm excited for Hazel and Patricia, and I don't even know Gillian and Andrew!!!! How strange is that?

  8. Good morning one and all,
Well what a lovely day we have in here today, a wedding to look forward to. I can see them all in my mind, men in their fabulous kilts ( I will try not to think about gusts of wind don't want my imagination to run away with me) and the ladies with their beautiful hand made by Hazel buttonholes and probably a few fascinators on show too.
Anne, your card is perfect for today's offering. Thank you so much for sharing it. It's an ingenious idea to put a photograph on it. I will definitely be using this if you don't mind pinching your idea. I love the composition, it's so balanced and your frame around the picture is beautiful.
I am going for my second heat and massage treatment later and I can't wait. Still not sure whether it will help but it's so blissful it's worth it for that alone.
But before that I have a parcel for my daughter to get in the post so need to crack on.
    See you all later,
    Love Saba

  9. Hello one & all,

What a stunning idea for your card Anne, ticks all my boxes for an original. Perfect for any big Anniversary too. Loving the gold trim and flower centres.

Much love and congratulations going out to Gillian and Andrew on their forthcoming nuptials. I wish for them to have a long, happy and loving marriage.

Jamie fit me some new glass shelving in my craftroom to hold all the little boxes of finishing touches that I keep stocked up. Now I have a clear floor underneath and all will be tidy later.
My sister Beverly and her fiancé Pete are coming this weekend for a week's holiday to celebrate her birthday on Sunday, so will leave now as have to start and finish her card today. Then tomorrow my big-g clean up and then another weekend off to enjoy.

Anne what a beautiful card and I love the touch of addin the picture, that works so well. Thank you so much for sharing it with us. Xxx
Well Patricia and Hazel will be rushing about organising their families but we have got the weather sorted, keep dancing ladies! I'm being really lazy, I had to finish my final chapter to find out who dunnit then stopped to look at yesterday's comments as I didn't get a chance by the time I got home last night. Maria you did make me laugh, yep card club was a good game of poker using the little bits from the die cuts as chips! What a thought. Tee hee. No I go to a stampin up card club and this time there were a couple of new people that are friends of friends so we had a really good natter and Karen who runs it caught up on the news. Once we sat there talking we all found out that we all knew someone the others knew, how funny is that. We made some lovely cards, I will send a photo to Sandra, they are different from my usual style bug it's good to be taken away from the norm. Well I must get up and going - I know aren't I a shocker! Someone sounds like they are hedge cutting quite close by ( reminds me of Maureen and her hoovering to get George to wake up - doesn't work you know!). It's either my neighbours son, or at least I hope it is, doing something useful for once or it's my nearly 80 year old neighbour ball ending on a step ladder using a hedge trimmer which she shouldn't be doing! It mat be the other side of the road neighbours who are also elderly and since he had his stroke a few years ago his wife now climbs up the step lady and he supervises! Oh dear I'm going to have to go and have a look aren't i! Oh well girls have a good day and I will see you all later.
    Love Diane xxxxxx

Saba meant to pass on the title of a book I read a few years back, full of blood and gore (since you are into all that) it is by Martina Cole and is called The Jump, I couldn't put it down quite compulsive reading, if you manage to get it, enjoy!

  13. Morning one and all
Well we have sunshine and it's quite warm out there today.
All is done here re housework and sorting ready for Robert, Janine, Josh and Zoe to arrive.
I don't know why I always do it but whenever Janine is coming to visit I go haywire. She is so controlled, organised and so so tidy it unnerves me. Jim always says if they don't like anything then they can lump it; which is OK for him to say it but for me everything has to be just right. I'm never like this when anyone else is coming.

Anne your card to today is just so appropriate but it is also one of the very best Wedding cards I have seen. It's just beautiful in every way.

Off now to organise our lunch so have a good day everyone. Hope you three Graces had a fab day yesterday and managed to get some crafting done.
    Hugs are on their way.

ANNE, Love your card, it's beautiful, the design is brilliant, but with slight
changes could work for any occasion. Thank you for sharing it with us also for the inspiration.

We are going home this afternoon, Daughter will be working from home tomorrow and Ciara has netball in the morning so the only help needed would be as a taxi service, and tomorrow they can cope with that SIL should be around also. Will catch up with everyone later, when we get home.

Got the repair done to our roof line today, it cost us less than the excess on our house insurance, so good job, the guys were local and very professional. Will certainly use them again.
Managed to do a couple of cards this afternoon, might try to do another one later.

  21. Right, come on girls, I reckon we should have a party to celebrate the wedding, and to lift Lynda's spirits. I've baked some horses doofas (hors d'oeuvres) , sausage rolls (best quality sausage, not some supermarket cr*p), small quiches, and my piece of resistance (piece de resistance) corned beef hash pie. The Baileys Tanker is ready and I've pinched some of Janet's wine and Myra's champagne, the music is on and I think we should shake a leg!!!
I'm just away to put on some dancing shoes (I'm bare foot at the moment) and then I'll be ready for action!!!

  22. Evening Ladies

I did finish work early-just said to my boss "I have quite a bit of time owing so i''d like to finish early" & she just said OK!!!! I got away at 3.30pm, would have preferred 3pm but even so, it was great. Did my shopping, put it away, went upto greenhouse & watered everything, made a cuppa + it was about 5pm. Tea was cheese + crackers with ref onion chutney and freshly picked tomatoes. Spoke to hubby then just rang Dad who kept me on the phone for over 40 minutes despite having nothing to tell me!

I do hope the weather has been kind to Hazel's daughter for the wedding, can't wait to see some photos.

    1. Good for you Michele, sounds like your dad is lonely and finding the evenings a bit long. Is your dad like mine was, if I ever rang home I would usually speak to mum, if dad answered we would have a quick conversation and then hand it over to mum. After mum died he had to learn how to have a conversation with us on the phone, strange for someone who was on the phone a lot for his job but I think it's the social conversation they are not sure of. 7. I love music, I love to sing, I can read music and learnt to play the piano but when I went into the Sanatorium when I was 14 I stopped and didn't continue. A big regret today. However, when I sing people run screaming. I always make sure there is no one in front of me in church because I can see them shudder, if you think I'm joking, believe me I'm not, but the funny thing is if anyone hits a wrong note on a musical instrument or when they are singing, I can spot it a mile off.

  37. Good evening Folks!!
Just had a quick read on the way down ... WOW!!! that's some Party you guys have been having.
That's us just back, made a cuppa. Really did not need anything to eat, I made us a couple of slices of toast and had that.
Well Oh! Well what an amazing day, the sun shone and It was actually warm!! The wedding ceremony was held in the Hotel/Castle gardens. It was beautiful, have to confess to shedding a tear. I am very fond of Gillian, to see her looking so beautiful and so happy, could not stop them coming!!
Her dress was amazing, it was a rich dark burgundy/purple colour. Strapless, wonderfully embellished over the right side of the top, right down the side to almost knee level. The embroidery was in stunning colours. Purple, turquoise, pink and lime green. Laced down the back, long floaty and absolutely devine. I am sure Hazel will send some photos to let you see it. Hazel had a beautiful floaty outfit that looked amazing. Flower girls wore cream one had a lime green sash the other had pink they were so sweet. Tammy's boys were the ring bearers, so smart in their kilts.
Most of the men wore kilts and looked so smart, it was lovely to see them all.
Meal was amazing with huge portions of delicious food. Ooooo!! and the Cake!!
a rather rich and indulgent, Chocolate Cake, Andrews choice but Oh! so! Mmmmm!!.
We were at a table with great people,we had such a laugh and wonderful chat.
Right best go, I will try to read through all the posts. If I don't manage to comment please forgive me I am rather tired.
    God Bless you all xxxx
