Good Sunday Morning Ladies,
First up this morning a message for our Dear Friend Maureen, we were all so very shocked to hear your terrible news, we want you to know that we are all here waiting to give you the love and support you need when you are ready to call in xxxxx
Today's card has been made by our multi-talented Michele, Michele has made an amazing Easel
Card, I love the embossing folder you have used Michele, the butterfly too is very prettyI love the way you have done the border aroundthe base card too, it folds quite flat for posting as well.
thank you for sharing your lovely card with us
today Michele xxxx
Well ladies, lazy day for me today, after yesterday's trip to Newbury Craft show, go be fair there weren't many exhibitors there at all.
It was good to see Jenny Mayes demonstrating and John Lockwood had a good crowd around him most of the day.
Now ten some info.....Foundation Card ....the. tag bringing new colours, they are so pretty to, Wysteria is one of them, some more lovely blue ones too! John had a swatch book of them on his stand.. So we have those gorgeous colours to look forward to.
Well that's it from me today,
I want to send everyone of you
Love and hug
Sandra
Xxxxxxxx
Good morning Sandra, and the gang. Hope you are all well, and looking forward to the day ahead.
ReplyDeletePlace looks good, pretty flowers on the tables. I know we will not be as busy as normal after the events of yesterday. However we all need to be here, keeping positive to support our darling Maureen. Of course any others who need our support.
Nothing much on here for today but it is early and the phone could ring. Robert has a Football Match at 11am, Thomas could be here while that's on if mum is working. Plenty ingredients for meals and milk, all is well.
Taking my Tea & Toast over to the corner. Please pop over and join me for a chat. Life is too short, enjoy every minute. This is when you realise all these petty things that cause friction are total nonsense.
Group Hug (((((hug)))))
Basket of hugs by the day as usual, I have added extra I know they will be needed.
See you all later xxx
Oh! My! Word! Michele, I am so sorry ...... your card is brilliant love the colours, and very different design. Have not seen that style of card for a while, I like it. xxx
ReplyDeleteMorning Ladies
ReplyDeleteSandra-sounds like you had a great day at the show. Are you going to reveal to us what you purchased??!!!
My card is quite old now. It was made in a class at Stampers Gallery (in Tarleton) -shop still there but no classes now. Before you all think I sit around making cards all day, I have a whole room of my own so I can store lots in there & I have kept photos of most things I've made.
In reality I haven't made a card from scratch for weeks now. I've had a few toppers part assembled & been using those. Now I have a while week off maybe I'll get a but more crafting done-only if it cools down though.
Finished my breakfast, hubby gone out to play a golf match & yes, he's put sunscreen on! Wil pop in later & check on all the comments.
Michele
Oh Michele, I know that shop in Tarleton! I bought stamps there a few years ago. It's next to a ladies dress shop called Touché., isn't it.xxx
DeleteMorning ladies,
ReplyDeleteYour card is so delightful, I love that fresh, zingy pink and the effect is stunning.
My thoughts are with Maureen & family today.
Love 7 hugs
Cheryl xxx
Good morning, looks lovely in here today, came in earlier but had to go out again, I was needed else where.
ReplyDeleteMichele, it might be an old card but it's beautiful, I love the colours and your design. I hope you get some craft time, but most importantly you just relax.
I see Saba got home safe, now she will be busy sorting everything out to wash, and store other bits away till their next trip. Did you see and do what you wanted to do in Italy?
Sandra, you were saying about the new card range? I think it would have to be something I would have to think long and hard about, as do I really need more card? I don't know about you others, but I tend to go to the same ones and have some I have never given the light of day to! I moved things round the other day when trying to sort out and I have packs unopened and I can't think when I bought. No I have to use up what I have or at least some.
It's like baby bits I have in stock I think I might be donating things to somewhere, I will never use them up, how many baskets did I think I might make??? Oh I might up a couple of baskets then donate. That will have to wait till after my visitor goes home. Right I must move or Charlie and Harris will be back and I will still be sat here.
(((((( hugs)))))) in the basket. I will come in later for tea and cake. xxx
Good morning everyone,
ReplyDeleteI didn't comment again yesterday, I think we are all feeling Maureen's loss and thinking of her. Makes me realise that we have became quite close, even if we haven't met in reality. You are right, Patricia, I hate hearing people put off doing things, everything is "perhaps later". We never know how much later we have.
Lovely card, Michelle. I'm not a baby pink person but love strong pinks like this one. This looks like an intriguing card design. Some interesting masculine topper and we're sorted since I find men love anything which moves on their card (tests their intellect to work it out, so that's them amused for an hour).
Looks like it may be nice here (I know, rain forecast, but they get it wrong) It was thick fog earlier but it's burning off, so fingers crossed. I love seeing the mist lift from the loch, and the little ferry boat appear from nowhere into the scene. Last night was lovely, but since we (Derek, the dog and me) were at the water's edge and under the trees, the midges were mental.
Trying to keep busy today, this would have been Mum's 85th birthday. It's been 2 years but days like this are still hard. I'll just come here for a chat if it gets to me, always something or someone to distract me in here.
Home you are getting sunshine, not some of the lightening I see on the weather map.
Hugs for everyone
Janice
xx
Oh Janice, my heart goes out to you, it get a little easier as the years go by but not much. Two years is still at the very raw stage, yes come in we will listen, think of the happy good times, even the stupid daft times it helps, ((((((hugs)))))) oh midges are they a pain in more ways than one?? Avon soft skin does work. Then again they are Fort William ones - bit and nasty!!! Don't we all know that from experience??? xxx
DeleteSending hugs! Janice. This would have been my Mum's Birthday today too. We never forget! Xxx
DeleteJanice thinking of you today lovely lady, as Patricia says it does get better but 2 years is still very soon. Sending you a big hug. Hope the midges keep themselves away xxxx

DeleteSending love and ((((hugs)))) from me to you. I know how you feel, it's only two years since Pete went also.
DeleteMay the pain of the elephant standing on your heart ease with time and love. xxxxx

DeleteJanice thinking of you today, I don't think you ever get over loosing your mum but, given time you do learn to live with the loss, she will be watching over you, remember the good and fun times as Hazel says. xxx
DeleteJanice, it is a few years since I lost my mum, I still miss her, especially if I need to tell her about an event in the family she would have been proud of. It gets better but does not go away, ((((()))))
DeleteJanice, Myra and Lynda, sending you all very special (((((hugs)))))
DeleteTry to remember good time or even special moments, when you think about your Mum. I think of my Mum as an angel watching over us. xx
Thank you ladies! You are the best! Xxx
DeleteJanice, Myra and Lynda, i hope that your mum's are whooping it up up there in amongst the stars and having a party. Sorry girls if i am being in appropriate, i don't mean to be but i know my mum will be dancing again up there and my daddy's two left feet will work just as they should along beside her, so i hope girls that your best friend is enjoying where ever they are up in the stars and are at their very best again too. I'm sending you all hugs though just to let you know that i am thinking of you all as well as our lovely Maureen. When they remain in our hearts and minds they will never be gone totally. xxx
DeleteThank you BRENDA & MARIA for your kind words. NORAH thank you my Mum & Dad will be dancing on her birthday tomorrow that's for sure. Group Hug's (((((()))))) love Lynda xx
DeleteThanks Norah, and all of you for your thoughts today. My parents were both great with people, and loved to party. Even in the nursing home, Mum came to life when there was any social event. Luckily there were lots in her home. I have no shortage of great memories
Deletexxxxx
Morning Sandra and ladies,
ReplyDeleteMichele your card is lovely, not done an easle card for while, if I make any to sell I always show the people who buy them how to display them, adding a verse is sometimes a problem as it needs to go on the back of the card.
Has our Lynda won a prize from Sue today in the comments game? I think it is her.
Thoughts are with Maureen as she faces a difficult time.((((hugs)))).
I will take my coffee and sit with Patricia if she is still in, and see if we can put the world to rights for a little while.
Still got painting to do, will catch up later, take care everyone, xxx

Good Morning Sandra ,
ReplyDeleteGood morning Ladies! First of all Michele, your card is beautiful and you make such a lovely variety of lovely things. I really love your easel card and the colours and the edging looks like stitching! It's so effective. Thank you.
I am almost certain today is Lynda and Terry's Wedding Anniversary, so Happy Anniversary , Lynda and I hope you both have a lovely day.
I'm sorry to be on holiday at the moment as I can't contribute as much as I'd like to but yesterday brought home to me just how special this group of friends is. We all wanted to enjoy Maureen, Patricia and Hazel's day yesterday but that wasn't to be. Instead we shared in Maureen's sadness and I'm sure brought comfort to her and each other. It's all the little thoughtful touches that aren't mentioned on the blog too.
Maureen, my dear, thinking of you all today and praying for a sense of comfort and peace. Happy memories of lovely man. Sending hugs xxx
We are going out for lunch today so I'm looking forward to that. I hope you all have a good day .
Sending special hugs too to Sheila and Cheryl memories would be stirred yesterday.xx
Brenda you too are going through a sad time so special hug for you too. X

DeleteJess I think your right about another winner in here today? I am sure it's our Lynda. If so enjoy your win Lynda.
ReplyDeleteJess, you will get that second coat on in no time as the first coat will have done the bulk of the covering, at least you aren't covering something like red that takes 5 coats. Hazel x
Thank you Hazel it was me can't believe it.xxx
DeleteHi Sandra and all the lovely ladies
ReplyDeleteI'm back in the land of rain and a decent cup of tea! Sorry I didn't tell you all I was going away, as we have said before better to be safe as you never know who reads blogs! I did email Sandra before we went as I didn't want her to think I had gone AWOL. We haven't been in long but jet lag has caught up with the other two and I'm wide awake so I will probably start on the washing pile!
Before I forget and get carried away, Michele your card is so pretty, what a wonderful colour and lovely butterfly. Thank you for sharing. Enjoy your week off xxxx
Myra we seem to be commenting at the same time. It is difficult to post comments when you are on holiday, don't worry we understand. After all you are there to have a great time not look at a computer screen the whole day! Sending you a gig hug for your difficult day too. Xxx
Maureen if you do get a chance to look in my thoughts are with you today, sending you a big hug too xxxxx
Well I won't bore you all with the details but yes we have been away for a very special holiday to celebrate the end of Emma's exams. We left the day after her exams finished and went to Disney land in Orlando for 10 days where we visited magic kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood studios, animal kingdom and blizzard beach and universal studios to mainly see the Harry Potter sets. It was all really amazing but oh boy was it hot and humid, we had a tropical thunderstorm every day! Even the locals said how hot it was! Our feet were sooo sore by the end of 10 days, poor little things needed a good rest! We then drove over to Sanibel island on the Gulf of Mexico and had a total chill out time. I will tell you more later and will hopefully send Sandra a photo.
Must go now before I drop the tablet nodding off.
Love to you all
Diane Xxxxxxxxx
Wow Diane, you have had a busy time, but I'm sure it was lots of fun. Disney is terrific, even for grown ups. When I've been to Florida it's been winter or early spring. I don't think I could handle the summer humidity.
DeleteOh Diane it sound magical. What a fantastic holiday. We did wonder the other day when the time zone didn't sync. Love to see some pics. of you all and the holiday. Deffo. one that goes on my bucket list xx
DeleteDIANE:- you lucky lady. Bet you have had the most amazing time.
DeleteLast year we were there with John, Audrey and the boys. It was an all expenses paid trip for our Golden Wedding and we had an absolute ball. We would love to go back, maybe next year we will see.
Looking forward to seeing and hearing all about it. xxx
Diane What a great holiday and so well deserved after all the hard work and stress after the exams, my daughter and family have been several times it is so magical, good for you enjoying such a wonderful place!
DeleteI shall look forward to seeing and hearing about your adventure, Patricia and I for two will be sitting comfortable so you may begin whenever you like!! xxx
Disney is the only place where you can act you shoe size and not your age! Love it!!,
DeleteDiane, what a great holiday! We did that a few years back and I loved it ! Jess is right you can be your show size - I only take size 4 !!! Xxx
DeleteDiane i am so glad that you have enjoyed your wonderful holiday to that magical place called DisneyLand. I hope the others had a ball as well when they went to all the different places at Florida and then to chill out down at the Gulf of Mexico is just wonderful. I throughly enjoyed both times i went to Disney as still having the mental age of a 6-7 year old at the best of times i was star struck and the beauty of the place and just how magical it is to go around is fantastic. The Magic Kingdom was the best of all for me as there was Mickey and Minnie Mouse and he gave me a cuddle, and then i seen Cinderella, well she was just beautiful and her dress, wow. Yes to be able to enjoy Disney you have to still have a piece of that inner child left in you to enjoy it for what it is MAGIC.
DeleteOh Myra you and me both, i have went up to a size 4 with putting on weight but that is probably what age i was like in Disney.
xxx
Hi Diane wow what a fantastic holiday you had,I'v always wanted to go Disnyland not that I like the rides anymore,my daughter & family went this year they loved it. Ooo MYRA your very small I take size 8 :0(( Hug's Lynda xx

Hi Sandra
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts are with you and your family Maureen on your sad loss. We're all here for you when you feel like popping in.
Michele I just love your easel card today. I haven't made one of these in awhile. Maybe it's time to get my brain into gear and try to do one at sometime. As Sandra sais there weren't many exhibitors this year at Newbury. Plenty of make and takes though. They had such a good response this year after the shambles of last year. They've booked again for next year and hopefully will have more exhibitors. Hopefully they will have enough to go back to the big hall.
Hi Sandra and all,
ReplyDeletelet me try one ice lolly so I get some liquid but not sure if I should stuck or
suck it :-) managed a banana this morning but stomach still gurgling something terrible so will not be going far.
Michele- your card is lovely. have not made a easel card for ages. Did you use stickers as the frame ? have so many to use up. The same with cards, have not any of the card from Sue's yet as they are a bit big packs but the price is good so..... don't understand why JW take more in her shop ?
Today is a real mixed emotional day. I'm crying one minute and then reading further down and smiling for our winners, then again sad and then happy. oh it is a very confusing day.
I hope you had a nice day Sheila and Cheryl with your girls yesterday and I know that you had a nice time Sandra. Shame it was smaller. I hope some of you can come to AP in September, ( I will probably be going on the Sunday at the moment, OH can take me because Spurs are playing that day) and don't forget that Karen and I are meeting up on the 25th at Harlequin so if you can, come and join us for a coffee and chat !
Rally is on so I'm going to do something else,
Love and hugs to you all and special ones to Maureen and family xxxx
Hi Maria don't know if this will help but one of our doctors always says after tummy trouble like you have had, eat as much 'rubbish' as you can, crisps, sweets, anything it is the best way to get rid of the rest of the bug, it does work. My consultant always tells me after taking antibiotics to have 'live' yogurt, the reason for this is the antibiotics kills off the good bacteria in your stomach therefore the 'live' yogurt puts it back and this really does works.
DeleteHope you feel better soon xxx
Maria, I can't believe I still spelt it wrong, put down to age. xxx
DeleteMy father-in-law, who is now 92, believes that you should eat rhubarb, which can normally give you the runs, to help get all the nasty bugs out of your system, so may be the same as you eating "rubbish"
DeleteAs long as you manage some liquid, you can manage a few days without food.
It's also a good idea to buy (and take) some of the rehydrating stuff you put in a drink...sorry, can't remember the name..rehydra something or other. They have all the minerals etc that you will be missing
Oh Maria, I do hope you feel so much better very soon. You just eat anything you feel like eating. Sending hugs xxxx
DeleteHi Maria sorry your still poorly, don't worry if you don't feel like eating but please try to keep your fluids up plenty of water to flush it through.
DeleteSendin love & Hug's Lynda xx
Thanks for trying to help me, I normally can eat "rubbish" but not feel like anything at the moment. Have at least got some liquid in me like tea's and water today and some dry toast so I'm getting there hugs, Maria xx
DeleteAfternoon everyone.
ReplyDeleteMaureen I think it's all been said before me but I just want you to know hugs and support is always here when needed.
To all of my lovely friends who are feeling the loss of Mum just remember she is always with you wherever you are. The pain never goes but it does change with time.
Michele your butterfly is simply gorgeous in every way. I really do like easel cards and must get round to doing one. Thank you for the nudge.
Well we had one roll of thunder and three mins of rain this morning and we're back to hot, humid and don't know where to sit or try to do something for the best.
I think a dish of ice cream and sit in the bedroom is the answer. I loved it when we would go to the ice cream van with a dish and return with two flavours raspberry syrup and wafers for Mum to share it out. Oh the joys of childhood.
Enjoy the rest of the day. Hugs for all
xxxx
Oh yes Janet I too remember it so well going out with a dish to the ice cream van and the handful of wafers too, they were such happy carefree days.
ReplyDeletexxx
Some visitors have just arrived I will be back later.
ReplyDeleteLove to all
Margaret xxx
Sandra, I have just emailed you with my address
ReplyDeleteJanice
Margaret, you are so right about eating rubbish after a bug, children always ask for that sort of things and they recover so much quicker than us. Same with "live yoghurt" . It's a good food to eat. Oh I am now in one big muddle in the spare room, I have no where to move for stuff. But as they say you have to make a mess to sort a mess. The things we crafters keep??? And why - because we think it will be useful!!! Have found things I had forgotten about, like plain Boxes to decorate, beautiful embossed velvet ribbon, that I think would look lovely round one of the said boxes? It will have to wait until another day no that will month at least! I wish my cottage would expand at these times like two more rooms??? Worth? Right back the guddle!!! Hazel x
ReplyDeleteHazel I wish you joy! That's a good Scottish word which fits the bill exactly! Xxx
DeleteHazel have you ever thought of ceiling hooks? That is what my Dad would say to me when I complained I did not have enough space! xxx
DeleteMargaret, Charlies face was a picture when I told him what you suggested. We haven't got high ceilings so it would be a problem? Well I am still in a guddle, but I have moved 4 drawer units down to the shed, contains in strong bags so all protected.the charity shop will get some things tomorrow, not working so can get on doing some more, I tell you when I bring it back in I will have a big clear out, have made up my mind that I will make what I call " a weaning basket gift" it has bowls, plate, cup, spoons, bibs, mat for under high chair in a basket, well I will make a couple plus a couple of baskets with baby things and donate them the kidney patients shop. They can sell them and hopefully raise a little bit of money. It won't make a big difference to my stock but will help. Also my 12x12 papers are going to get sorted out.so that will be my task later on. Cheryl, paper work is a task that takes ages as you have to check every thing to make sure it's not needed, we had a clear out not so long ago and ended up having to buy a new shedder. In the winter I take it to work and burn it in the stove fire. It is a job you need to do, but hate. Hazel x
DeleteHelloooo Ladies,
ReplyDeleteLynda and Terry, many congratulations for your 46th Wedding Anniversary and for your comment win, it couldn't happen to a nicer lady.
Well ladies, you'd all better batten down the hatches.... the storm is heading your way! We had a fantastic one about an hour ago, great big cracks of thunder interspersed with long low rumbles, heavy rain beating against the windows leaving giant tear drops sliding down the glass as though they were in a race.
And then came the hailstones, bouncing off the ground like excited, wayward ping pong balls. Following that the lull came as the storm passed over with bright gleams of a lighter sky in-between the darker rainclouds. The heavens were truly crying today. And as I am typing, another cloudburst came from nowhere as the sun began to shine.
No Wimbledon today so have spent my time clearing out boxes upon boxes of paperwork that I no longer need, just can't think why I kept it all. Shredder will be hard pushed to cope with all of it, shall have to do it in batches.
Love 7 hugs
Cheryl xxx
Cheryl! You paint a lovely picture! All the best with the boxes. Xxx
DeleteHappy Anniversary to you and OH Myra, you have kept that very quiet. Glad you liked my description of a our storm. I had to do one once, many moons ago in English, and got to read out mine to the whole class. I love our English language and Pete always told me I could write a lovely letter. Strange thing was we never wrote to each after he had come home from working away in Norway only in cards. I still have all our letters to each other, they are in my memory draw with all the cards we had ever given each other.xx
DeleteThank you soooo much Cheryl for your lovely kind words xxx
DeleteI loved your rendition of your storm you should take up poetry & I hope if we get another storm it's as lovely as yours haha.
Hug's Lynda xx
I love watching a thunder storm, and your description paints a perfect picture of one. What a gift to be able to write a description like that.
DeleteI too love storms and blixten and thunder. When I was little my grand mother and I used to sit on the kitchen chair together, looking out the window and count how far the actually storm was from our house, it was a thrill xxx

ReplyDeleteHello Sandra and our amazing Ladies,
First off can I just say that the love and support which is so evident to see in this very special coffee shop is truly wonderful to behold. I for one am very grateful to be part of it.
Michele, what a lovely card, and how perceptive of you to work out how to keep our men amused! Loved it. I also love pink, in any shade, bright, pastel, barely there, you name it, if it's pink its for me.
Janice, hope you find some happy memories to see you through the day. It is so difficult to come to terms with when you loose your mum and anniversaries are so hard to bear.
Myra, it must be a mixed one for you today, your late mum's birthday but also your wedding anniversary, hope you have a lovely day celebrating your anniversary and that you too find happy memories of your mum today.
Lynda, happy anniversary to you too and heaps of congratulations on your win and
Diane too, well done ladies, enjoy your goodies.
Diane, what a fabulous way to reward Emma for all her hard work, hope we get to see some photos.
Maria, you must be wasting away. I knew a doctor once in Turkey who recommended drinking coca cola. He used to tell his patients to let it go flat and then drink it. It won't help with the bugs but is a good way of rehydrating you. Hope you feel better soon.
Cheryl please can you send that storm over here, I love a good storm.
Myra you can stop reading now as I am about to repeat what I told you in my e mail!!
As for me, it has been a busy day, church this morning and then to see Peter's mum and we haven't been back long. We had a visiting school choir today. They are from Colyton Grammar School in Devon and have some connection to a school in our area. They had written and asked whether they could sing in our church, it being one of the oldest and by far the most beautiful one in Nuremberg. (St. Johannis ). They sang beautifully, it was a privilege to hear them.
It is unbearably hot here. About 40 degrees in the shade, so all windows are closed and we are popping into the shower very frequently, I miss the cold sea, never thought I would say that!
Myra, you can continue reading now!!
I am going to do a bit of unpacking now, I couldn't face it last evening and apart from the essentials it is still looking at me with its evil eye. I hate unpacking from the sailing holidays, it seems to take forever.
Must go jump under a cold shower again, love and big hugs for all.
Special love and Prayers for our own Angel of the North.
Saba xxx
Myra, I didn't realise it is your wedding anniversary today too. Happy anniversary honey. I hope you are having a good time, and enjoying your holiday.

MYRA you didn't say it was also your wedding Anniversary as well today a massive congratulations to you & Hubby hope your both having a special day lots of love & Hug's Lynda xxxx
DeleteI thought it must have been Saba!
DeleteThanks Lynda xxxx
MYRA:- Happy Anniversary, did not realise it was today.
DeleteHave a wonderful evening. xxx
Myra happy anniversary, you kept that quiet, hope you have had a fantastic day, was it a special one? Xx
DeleteNow I'm confused, easily done. Here for Saba to say take your time as the heat you are having you should take it easy and the washing can wait. To be in church and listening to them singing must have been lovely. You live in so beautiful part of Bavaria. Not sure but I think a friend of ours is living just outside Nuremberg and I believe he is a speaker for the town of some kind. Have managed some drinks and some toast today so I'm getting there, No risk I will disappear ,It's plenty of me hihi hugs Maria xx
DeleteGood afternoon my coffee shop Angels,
ReplyDeleteThis is just the kind of card in every way that my daughter would love and my friends daughter as well as they are both bright pink and animal pattern fans.It is lovely Michele and although i have done a normal easel card before, i have never done a pully slidey one, so for me this is different from what i have done before. I hope that who ever you made it for enjoyed it as much as we all have today flower and old or not it is lovely and it also shows just how far you have come since making it. Thank you Michele for letting us see your beautiful card as i for one have not seen one of this type before.
Well girls we have had the crackling of the thunder and lightening up here in Central Scotland now and it is not a very nice day outside now after having some lovely sunny weather, of course that is because i stuck my washing out that it came on like it has, it just couldn't see me getting on.
I have hand washed and pinned out my 5th shawl this past few months, but when i say that blood sweat and tears went in to i am not kidding. The later because i was having an off day one of them that i was knitting it, the middle because my inbuilt generator is on the blink and i am having my own power surges to light up the village and the first because did i no go away and cut my finger on my craft knife as the top had come off when i was reaching for something else and would it stop bleeding.....NO, dashed thing. So i have had to rinse through a few parts of it again to get the blood bit off and i do wish that Tia wouldn't insist on helping my make it warmer with some of her hair and coat through it, as trying to pick out her hair is torcher. Well i am going to see what hubby is having for dinner and i will see you all later hopefully.
Love and crafty huggles are in the basket

ReplyDeleteSaba, I know what you mean that sometimes you just can't face unpacking after holidays and especially when it is so hot. xxx

ReplyDeleteWow! I need a seat and my feet up.
ReplyDeleteTold you in my early post, the phone could ring and change the day.
It rang, Thomas ..... could he come along while Robert played football. Grandpa and Thomas went off on their bikes for almost an hour. Back home, time to eat. Then the two of them went off down the lane for a walk and to see how the "burn" "stream" "small river" whatever you want to call it was behaving. Thomas loves to make sure it's running freely. Surprisingly after all the rain it's not very deep.
A phone call from John Jnr ... can we do a swap?? Robert wanted to spend time here with Grandpa. Almost a re-run of activities, no one can say John is not fit. Robert is not interested in the "burn" so it was a game of Volley Ball for Granny first then Grandpa. Again it was time to eat, plates cleared and off out to the garden once again. Robert puddled about in his bit garden., then it was time for home. That's John just back after delivering Robert back.
We will have a seat with our feet up for about an hour then have a cuppa and snack.
Well we have had lots of celebrations in the Coffee Shop today. Congratulations whatever your celebration was.
Still that tinge of sadness which we are all feeling. It will be with us for some time yet. Sending some (((((hugs))))) to Maureen .... thinking of you my friend.
Basket by the door topped up if you need them.xxx
Good evening Sandra and all who call in
ReplyDeleteOur visitors have gone so peace has returned.
Michele what a beautiful card you have shared with us today your colours are perfect and your butterfly looks so delicate, almost hovering wondering if it should land or fly off on the drift of the wind. Yes you guessed right I love butterflies thank you for showing us.
Lynda and Terry may I extend my heartfelt congratulations to you both on the occasion of the anniversary of your wedding day. What a wonderful achievement 46 years you really must have something special together when you think some young people these days don't last 12 months! No staying power I always say.
Myra you are a dark horse, no mention in your email this morning that you too are celebrating the 46th anniversary of your wedding day too up here in our lovely Lake District very many congratulations. I do hope you both enjoyed your celebration lunch and are having a lovely day.
Maureen has been in my thoughts all day, her heart must be breaking, but I do hope if she looks in she can take some comfort from all the lovely comments everyone has left for her and it eases the hurt she will be feeling bless her.
Congratulations to Lynda and Diane on your Wins on Sue Wilson's blog something for you to treasure ladies.
We really are a very lucky group, winning prizes on Sue's blog and even lottery wins too, but I think the best thing we have is the special bond of friendship we all share here although some of us have never met. That bond is so special as it supports us when we need it and here somewhere we can share our problems too, and a problem shared is a problem halved. All this is thanks to Sandra who looks after us all just like a lovely mother hen, I do hope she is proud of what she has achieved here, it is so unique and very special. I for one will always be grateful to her, thank you so much sweetheart.
With love and hugs to everyone
Margaret xxxx
Sorry Margaret! And thank you! Xxx
DeleteTotally agree with you about the blog and Sandra. Xxx
Well I have had 5 goes at getting the above to post but it has disappeared, at last it has, thank goodness, if at first you don't succeed try and try again!! Agh
ReplyDeleteSaba so glad you are back home safe and sound just you pace yourself with the washing there is always another day. I have to ask, are you ok? I am a little worried all that heat you are having and no mention of chilled wine!!!
Hazel you too should pace yourself, I do think you should leave the rest of your sorting for tomorrow, have a wee rest now and be like your sister put your feet up.
Enjoy the rest of your evening folks, will try and pop in later if I don't fall asleep!
Margaret xxx
Margaret,
DeleteThank you for reminding me, I might go and help myself to one now. We had water with dinner, it's really not a good idea to be drinking alcohol in these temperatures and we both have been drinking gallons of water today. It was even too hot in Church, I felt so sorry for the English school choir who were visiting us but it didn't affect their beautiful singing.
Hope your foot is not too painful and you are coping with your enforced rest.
Your comment about the coffee shop is so very true. Sandra is our beautiful mother hen who brought us all together.
Hugs Saba xxxx
Margaret, I have stopped for tonight, just added more to,the guddle. I have been making a card instead that way I am sat with my feet up, I like sitting putting my cards together and use a lap tray so that I can do this. I have the foot rest up so I am comfy. No your right the rest can be done tomorrow or Wednesday as I will be off again. I hope you have a good nights rest with your foot. Hazel x
ReplyDeleteLadies, we have had the most horrendous rain here today, it wasn't waiting to come down, it reminded me of tropical storms we had once on holiday in the Carribean. When the boys were at home we used to say that the frogs were jumping when it was heavy rain well they were certainly jumping several times today.
ReplyDeleteHope tomorrow is a better day, take care, xxx
What devastating news I asked Pat if she's to speak to you to say that you and family are in my thoughts Maureen
ReplyDeleteThe world is such a cruel place at times
By the way your card is lovely Michele
Take care everyone xxxx
Hi Sandra and everyone,
ReplyDeleteI started to comment hours ago, when John called me into the garden, sorted out what he wanted to know. Then started doing things that needed attention out there. OMG where has the time gone? Came in and made dinner, ate and now it's time for bed. John is already asleep. We have an early start in the morning for the school run as daughter and SIL both have to make an early start.
MICHELE Your card is lovely, Love the butterfly and the deep pink card you have used. Thank you for showing this beauty to us.
MYRA Congratulations on your Wedding Anniversary, hope you have had a lovely day.
SABA, pleased you are safely home, don't go working yourself to the bone sorting out all of your holiday things.
Well I really have to say Night, Night sleep well, I will be back sometime tomorrow. Love and Hugs, Brenda xxx
