Good Morning Ladies,
From a very chilly & icy Gloucestershire, we had Snow most of the day yesterday, luckily the roads remained clear so the girls were able to get to and from work safely. I have to say it looked so pretty, especially out over the hills. It is forecast to be even colder today.
We had proper winter comfort food for tea last night, Faggots & mash for Paul and the girls, Lewis is always here on Tuesdays and he would not entertain Faggots, although I think its the name that puts him off! So I made Toad in the hole for Lewis and myself, it was delicious, even if I do say so must say so myself!
Today's card is a real quick and simple card. I taped an Aall&Create stencil to a piece of smooth card and then blended a selection of brightly coloured distress oxide through the stencil. I then layered the stencilled piece onto a black mat and then adhered to a card base and added a die cut sentiment. Simple but effective.
I hope that you all stay warm and safe, watch those Icy footpaths,
Love and hugs,
Sandra xxx
Your card is beautiful and I think I have that stencil or one very similar The snow has completely disappeared here and we have some hazy sunshine
ReplyDeleteOut to lunch with an old school friend later who I haven’t seen in about a year So quite a bit of catching up to do
Take care everyone xx
Hello, hope you are all keeping warm, although we didn’t get any snow, it’s forecast for tomorrow here, but it’s very rare that we get any, for which I am glad as I hate the stuff, always used to bring on my migraine.
ReplyDeletePoor R is chasing around trying to find a chemist that has my prescription, hope he will be back soon, waiting to have food.
Have some mending to do this morning, and then if time some crafting.
We are having a special dinner tonight as it’s our 59th wedding anniversary. Duck in orange sauce, Rs favourite.
Have a good day all. Lilian
Lilian. Wishing you and R a very HAPPY 59th ANNIVERSARY 💐 I hope you enjoyed your dinner together. And that R managed to track down your meds xx
ReplyDeleteHi Sandra and all looking in. Another simple but very pretty card. I love both the colours and the blending. I’m not sure how I would get on blending over a stencil. One to try, it’s only a bit of card and ink if it doesn’t work isn’t it. I have to make Gems birthday card for her 30th on Sunday. The years do fly by don’t they.
ReplyDeleteI can just imagine how beautiful the hills look from your kitchen window. Such a wonderful view makes doing the washing up a much better task 🥰
We had some very heavy snow fall yesterday but as it was into wet ground it didn’t settle. If it had been dry it would have definitely been a different story! Sleep well everyone. Take care. Love Sue xx
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, lovely happy colours.
Happy anniversary Lilian 💐 A big one next year 🙂
Hope you all had a nice day and enjoyed the sunshine, it's -3 c here tonight, hoping OH has warmed up the bed..... Sleep well everyone. Many hugs, Maria xx
