Good Morning Ladies,
We had a wet and gloomy day yesterday, so a bright & cheerful card was just what was needed, I needed a quick card too aa we were taking Becca to the Orthopaedic Hospital to have a new cast made for straightening her elbow after her surgery, they have to remake a new one every 2 weeks to make sure that enough the cast is creating enough pressure to straighten her join, it's quite painful aa they have to push her arm to beyond the point of it being comfortable for it to be effective. This was Becca's own idea and thankfully it seems to be working, she is regaining 10 degrees every couple of weeks, frustratingly the Nuffield hospital is in the worst possible location and the journey to and from it is a nightmare, it should only take 1/2 hour but frequently takes almost 2 hours!!
I cut the 6x6 paper to fit my 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card base, I stamped and die cut the sentiment using a circle die, I sandwiched a piece of iridescent ribbon between my sentiment and card for a little extra sparkle.
I hope that you all have a good day,
Love & hugs to all of you
Sandra xxx
That paper pack is such a good find for a quick and effective card
ReplyDeleteI hope this latest treatment helps I am sure the hospital wouldn’t have tried it if they didn’t think it would work Does she have to wear it 24 hours a day Or can she have a rest from it
Off to John Lewis this morning Some of us are making Izzy dolls
Take care everyone xx
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteA fabulous card. I love it. Did you cut the sunburst out yourself
or ? Really hope that everything goes well for Rebecca, bless her it must be so painful. Wish her better. Managed to make a card this morning, nearly finished but feel it's something missing. Having a coffee and watching xmas movies. Feeling a bit low after the hospital cancelled my appointment for
this morning but it is my own fault because I didn't what I was told, like losing weight.
I hope you had a fun morning Karen and yjat all of you jave had a nice day. Did you have any snow ? It was a fun dusting of it first thing this morning but then came the rain again.
Many hugs to you all, Maria xx
Hello, very chilly here, no snow, but plenty of rain.
ReplyDeleteLove your card, so bright and cherry, need something like that for Oscar’s birthday, can hardly believe he will be 14, seems like yesterday when he was born.
Do any of you have trouble getting your prescription, ordered mine on the 4th of November, but they still don’t have them, rung the practice pharmacy, but not help or interest. I’ve run out, told to try all of the pharmacies around. Which is impossible for us as we have them delivered. They have told me they have done a floating prescription at Fowey, so hope R is able to get them.
Sorry for the rant, have a good evening. Lilian
Hello Sandra and everyone,
ReplyDeleteAnother great card, love how you have blended the colours.
Hope Becca has almost reached the end of having her arm straightened, she is one very brave and strong young lady, sending her my very best wishes. xxx
Lillian I can’t believe the service you get from your pharmacy. It must be so frustrating, they should have their license taken away.
Take care everyone, Love Brenda xxx
