I love this simple card

🎈🎉 Happy Birthday Sue 🎉🎈

Good Wednesday Morning Ladies,

Please join me in wishing Sue a Very Happy Birthday!   I hope you have a lovely time celebrating in London with Chris 🎂🥂🎈🎉

We had a beautiful day yesterday, the sun shone all day, we got two loads of washing dry which felt like a huge win, there were quite a few bits that could be folded and put straight away as the wind had blown all the creases out, no ironing is a huge bonus,  it's something I really struggle with so Paul ends up doing it, the girls will do their bits if they need them, I hate watching him standing there working his way through the pile, he said he doesn't mind but nobody loves ironing, so every item I carefully folded felt great.  I have also started drying some of my tops etc on a clothes hanger that helps with creases too, our rotary line little holes for hangers on the arms.  I so badly want a big long washing line down the side of the house, mostly for bedlinen, as watching it blow in the wind makes my heart happy, but there is too much of a steep hill, the washing would be on the floor at top end too high to reach at the other!

Today's card was super simple to make but Ladies I love it!   I used my new Taylored Expressions stamp with matching die and stencil,  I didn't need the die today though.

I stamped the flowers onto my front panel in Versafine Clair and then taped the piece onto my glass mat using low tack tape, trying to get an even border on each side.  I took the Mask that matches the stencil and applied a little temporary adhesive and placed it over the stamped image.  I then took Candied Apple & Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink (Not Oxide as it didn't give as vibrant colour) and blended them up the card, going carefully around the edges of the mask, the only bit of the mask that moved was the little stalks at the bottom,  I don't think I got enough adhesive on each little piece.  Before removing the tape & Mask I spritzed the ink with water, to give a bit more detail.                            I can't explain the buzz i felt after moving the tape from the edges and the removing the mask!  Oh wow😊😍!  I don't often get that excited over my cards.  Now I want to make one in every colour combination!

I hope that the sun shines where you are today,

Love & Hugs to all of you,

Sandra                                                                    xxxxxx

  4. Hi Sandra and all looking in. Thank you for the kind birthday wishes. We have had another lovely day. Back at the flat for an early night tonight though. We have been so lucky having had two days of perfect strolling around town weather. Mostly jeans and t shirt with just occasional need of a hoodie/fleece as the evenings drew in.
Sandra, I love today’s card. The simplicity gives it such charm, it really is beautiful. I love that you enjoyed creating it. It will look good in any colour combinations and for just about any occasion.
