Your Challenge Cards

My Challenge Card

The Sketch

Good Morning Ladies,

We have an amazing collection big Challenge cards again this week, as usual all completely different.
So without further ado here we go.......

Maria has made two fantastic Challenge cards, both completely different, I love the flower on the first card Maria, how did you make it?? Those deers are just adorable, the lady border brings a touch of elegance to your card, beautiful!
Your second card is just too cute, that darling little deer with the birds, it reminds me of the scene in Snow White where she goes to the 7 Dwarves cottage!  Thank you so much Maria, for all of the cards you have sent it for me to share.

 Janet

Janet, two absolutely gorgeous cards from you this week, they are both like proper original 'Sue' W' cards, with gorgeous dies, lovely ribbon and bows and beautiful flowers, it's hard to choose a favourite but I think mine is the second one with that beautiful Cameo embellishment.
Thank you so much for taking part Janet

 Sue

Sue, I just love your cute little Gingerbread Man, the whole card worked out perfectly in the end, I love that border strip.
It's so lovely having your card in the line up!
Thank you so much Sue.

Karen

Karen, I love this stunning poppy image, in such soft colours too, here is Karen's description:
The image is from a Serif digikit which I have resized and made the smaller one brighter
The sentiment is an embellishment from a Serif kit
The dies are Spellbinders Ovals and Lacy Accents
The embossing folder is an Embossilicious one
I've edged this and the background with Weathered Wood distress ink
Thank you so much Karen for taking part.

 Lynda

Lynda, WOW, such a stunning card, I absolutely love how you have used the 'Definitely Dahlia' stamp, it is so versatile, you can either have it as a background or as the main image on your card, it just works perfectly. I will share your card in my Stampin' Up! team page if you don't mind Lynda? Thank you so much for making such a stunning card.

VAL

Val, your cards are always so unique, this card is just so pretty, those flowers are beautiful, what have you used to die cut them from? Such great Texture! The border and the stunning bow finish your card off beautifully.
Thank you so much for taking part.

Brenda

Brenda has used the 'Delightful Daisy' stamp set to create her fantastic card this week, the colour is one of my favourites 'Lemon Lime twist' with matching 'Fresh Florals' Designer Series Paper. What a great idea to turn the sentiment sideways!
A lovely card Brenda, thank you so much for taking part.

Well as you are reading the blog this morning we should be having breakfast at our hotel in Millau, France, a truly beautiful place, packed with tourists too.
I will stop in and update you later.

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra

  1. Morning Ladies

What a gorgeous collection of challenge cards. No card from me this week-it's just been one of those weeks. I kept thinking that I'd go in my craft room later or tomorrow but I never managed to.
Yesterday-collected my ring from the jewellers, met my friend for a coffee. The joiner called in the afternoon as we need a new front door then we did some gardening so quite a busy day really.

No plans for today-knee Togo in the computer and I also nee to start planning what we're doing when we go on holiday., plus I have the usual housework to do.

Sandra-hope your journey has been problem free so far.

  2. Morning Everyone
What a gorgeous lot of Challenge Cards this week. Once again it never fails to amaze me how so many people can look at a sketch and interpret it so differently. They really do brighten up the display board.

Thank you for your kind comments yesterday re my baubles.
Comments are always much appreciated especially from fellow crafters.
The baubles themselves are from a 12 pack of polystryne from £ land bought last year.
I never try to measure how much lace I need as I just go 'by eye' and they are really easy to do once I've decided which lace to use. You really get to know your glue gun up close and personal (lol) as all the lace and trimmings are fixed by hot glue and of course speed (because the glue dries quickly) and not using too much hot glue (or you dissolve the bauble).
I have to admit that I do love crafting with lace and ribbons etc.

SANDRA- I hope your journey as far as Millau wasn't too bad re traffic. This is the busiest week-end in France as their summer holidays start and the roads to the South are always jammed.

The CAFE is OPEN and today's lunch menu is Roast Lamb so please place your orders.
HUGS are winging their way to you all and I hope you all have a good Sunday. xxxx

    3. Hi Karen
Gorgeous card. Love the poppies and the softness of your card. How did the kitchen hunting go ? The Wren have had some mixed write ups and friends of mine have had some real problems if something was wrong to have it changed but that might just been from our store so good luck. Speak soon xx

  4. Hi Sandra and all,

Sorry I haven't been in for a couple of days. Every time I went to comment something came up and the days just went.
SANDRA glad the journey is gong well. Hope you enjoyed your breakfast. It's so lovely having someone prepare it for you then tidy up after you.
I had a small piece of hessian type of material left, just enough for the three flowers. Been saving it for years as you do.

All your cards are so pretty ladies. Love each and every one

MARIA is that beautiful flower a die? Please tell me the name as I want it.
Hope you and KAREN had a lovely meet up yesterday. Good luck at the weigh in this morning.

I'm pleased to report that the humidity has gone from out area and that it's just a normal hot August again Yeh. I've really slept well the last two night. I think I've been catching up non a few weeks of no sleep.

Off to the Market this morning then making a new batch of pop up boxes this afternoon. Interesting to read your comments on the COOL GLUE GUN. My son has bought mine. Just got to wait for him to send it over now!!!

I finally succumbed yesterday and ordered John Lockwoods media plates, stencils, roller and a set of stamps.Id dithered about them since he was on Hochanda but then found Crafts U Love would send the bundle here for £5. I just couldn't say no could I?
Now I know LILLIAN ordered the media plates but with her not feeling so well she may not have used them yet but did anyone else buy them? If so, how did you get on?.

    Have a good Sunday everyone.

    Hugs to poorly friends.
    Love Valxxx

  7. Hi Sandra and ladies
Such a beautiful selection if cards today. Had a marvellous day up in the Moors.
Mind you I'm not to sure what's happening as on the A64 we saw 1 police car with a camera. On the same stretch of road coming back 3 speed cameras were in operation. This road goes from a dual carriageway to single carriageway and back again twice. I was doing just under 70 but was still worries I was going to fast, but I wasn't.
I hope the last part of your journey goes well Sandra.

  8. Hi Sandra and all in the Café tonight. Third time of trying to comment so I will cross my fingers and hope this one doesn't vanish!
Thank you for sharing all of the beautiful CC's ladies, we have the usual wonderful standard and so much inspiration from these gorgeous cards.
Sandra, I hope you are settled on your pitch with the tent up and set out as you want as your home for the next three weeks. Chris and I will be waiting to hear if you manage to get across the soft sand more easily when you go to relax on the beach tomorrow my lovely. I hope you are not in too much pain after the long journey but wish you all a wonderful time relaxing in the sun together XX
We have been busy with one thing or another for the last two days, my comments earlier in the week have disappeared so I hope this one stays where I want it to be. Sending love and hugs to you all with extras for Lilian and all in need. Take care xx
