Pretty, Girly Birthday Card

 Good Afternoon Friends,
Todays card is a birthday card I made for a friend of Sophie's. The brief was, 'she likes girly'
So I chose a Topper from the 'Spring Bringer'
range at the Hobby House Crafts, gosh they have some beautiful things!!
So I picked a couple of colours from the topper and went with a dark pink/red and green.
I used Spellbinders Scalloped Circle & 2 sizes of the Grand decorative Square dies to mount the topper and Matt and Layer with.
I used the leaves from Sue Wilson's Faux Quilled flowers, my new favourite foliage and a new flourish die that I bought at Ally Pally.
Along with some flowers from my stash.
I used a rub on to add 'Ella' to a banner and secured it with a pearl hat pin.
I continued the colour theme inside the card.
The card size was 7 1/2 x7 1/2.
I hope you like it.

  6. Sandra. Thank you for coming over to my blog to see my crafty works. Gift baskets and scrapbooking were my first crafty things. After being at the N.E.C Birmingham last November I got interested in card making. I always just got my sister Patricia ( summerhouse crafts) to make my cards. My children are now 43,41 & 37. Anna and Beth who have the untidy bedrooms, are my work ( professional nanny) they are 12&9. Good. 99% of the time, but oh my that 1% can't be very stressful. We have 2 grandsons, 10&6. And 2 grand daughters 8&4 and untidy bedrooms seem to be the norm acording to their parents. I think my three didn't get much of a chance to mess their rooms up 1 we lived a lot in service quarters( husband ex army ) then they were away at boarding school while we set up and ran an adventure training/ ski place in the south of Germany for 2 1/2 years. So when we were in the uk and bought houses we were usually doing these up so I think I never had time to worry about the mess. Plus it was ours so no worries. Didn't have to go into work at 7.15 today, just been along to let the dogs out. Didn't go up the stairs so bedrooms could be as bad again, will face that or not depending what time I get back after pick ups, drop offs etc. a road trip of 40 odd miles by the time I am finished tonight. As for
Ally Pally we are looking in to it, the train overnight down to London seems as if it will be the best way for us, then just getting on a late train home. Hazel xx
