Michele's Fashion Cards & prize

Michele's prize from Sue's launch

Good Morning Ladies,

I am excited to share some more of our Michele's cards with you all today, I love the colour combination in the first card, so bright and cheerful ! That hat and dress would make a fashion statement wouldn't they !

The shoe card is amazing too, my daughter Becca would love those shoes!!
Both of these design sheets are from the "House of Zandra'', Michele has used her magic to transform them into these fantastic cards.
The 'House of Zandra' did have a stand at Ally Pally but they were selling stuffed toys, top notch soft toys I might add. No paper craft items though.

Now onto the best part....Michele won a prize on Sue Wilson's 'Particraft' blog
A really beatiful die too, the Bruges die from the 'Belgian' collection.
Michele I can't wait to see what cards you create with this fabulous prize!!

Michele for all of today's contributions, I love featuring all of your work xx

If any of you have cards to share please send a photo in to me x

It was just Pat and I yesterday, Sue was on babysitting duties, Pat was busy with her Groovi plate and was cutting some of her new dies !! Loving the new Lattice Stitched Frame die !

I hope all of you that have been struggling are starting to feel brighter x

Love and Hugs

A little bit vintage fr Wednesday

Good Morning Ladies,

I recently bought a really paper pad called Magnolia Lane by Ultimate Crafts, I got the 6 x 6 pad first, loved it so much I had to buy the 12 x 12 too, although I could only find it at Create and Craft, I quickly ordered another one before their birthday free postage ended.  So now I have one to use and one to stroke !!

I mixed the 6 x 6 pad with some kraft card and a few flowers, some Scrimpy's Lace and a few pearls.  I quite like the look, lots of layers built up.
What do you think?

Pat and Sue are coming over today which I am really looking forward to, I am so grateful for the amazing friends that this blog has bought together.  xxx

I hope that you have a lovely day,
Love and hugs

Karen's Sketch Card and Ally Pally Bargains

Karen's sketch 'tag' card

Karen's Ally Pally shopping

My Ally Pally shopping

Good Morning Ladies,

I won't have anyone having their card missed out when they have gone to the trouble of making one!  So here we have Karen's lovely Christmas card.
The paper gives that blue icy cold feel that goes so well with the snowflake.
I can see the tag hidden away and the Happy Christmas fits the design perfectly,
Thank you Karen, so pleased your card got seen after all Karen xxx

You did well at Ally Pally Karen, you got some of Sue's Word dies which are useful for both sexes, I see you got some of the Gilded Polishes too, I loved the look of those and they looked so easy to blend too, can't wait to see you use them!!
Don't be tempted to put to much in that die storage folder, they start to rip at the hole punches after a while and come loose!

I only bought a few bits really, some card, some paints, some MDF, a few bits and pieces to finish off a card too. Some 'mod poge' and a few free bits!!

Short and sweet today,
Love and hugs

Monday Sketch Challenge

 Good Morning Ladies,

Here is this weeks Sketch, I am sorry I chopped the bottom off the sketch, but you get the idea.
Now I promise I will do a 'pretty' card sometime today but I knew i wasn't going to get two cards made yesterday and Lucy had asked me to make a card for her friend Ed from Orchestra, hence the music theme background!  So I thought I would kill two birds with one stone.

The longest part of the process for me is choosing the sketch, this week being even harder as i wanted a sketch that would be easy to give you all an easier week and that would work with making Ed's birthday card,I lost a good two hours while choosing.   I also like to consider all of your needs etc whilst choosing, for instance I wanted to do a round card one week but not everyone has round dies! I also like to think about both Beth & Ciara, knowing that they like to have a go I try to do a really simple one like this weeks that you could manage without dies if necessary.

Oh a quick tip, if you don't have a fork tail flag die, you could use a corner of a square die or punch to nip out the forked part.

Janet, I hope you have a smooth crossing and a safe journey home xxx

Have a great day ladies,

Love and hugs

Good Sunday Morning Ladies,

I hope that all of you ladies are well and have not suffered too much with the quick change in weather, Matt was worrying about the new lambs as he had let them out in the field this week,
he didn't want the snow settling on their backs and getting them cold, but thank goodness it didn't
hang around for long. He only has one more Ewe to give birth and they are all done.

Now onto this weeks challenge cards, I just love how you all come up with such different designs,
some of you think that you are really going to struggle but end up making the most amazing cards
each week.

Anne, I love how you have bought fabric into your card, the glasses poking out of the pocket was
a genius touch, any young girl would think this card was super cool.  Thank you Anne xxx

Cheryl, a lovely 'Steampunk' design card for your Dear Friend Brian, he will love it, Thank you xxx

Hazel, a fabulous Christmas card, this is actually a good way to build up your Christmas card box,
you would have a good 30 or more cards by December ! thanks for taking part xxx

Janet, TWO, gorgeous tag cards from you this week, 2 beautiful designs, I love the lacy pocket on the first card and that background image on the second card is stunning, in french too, oo la la, Merci xxx

Lynda, I cannot believe that you actually CUT into some of your 'Scrimpy's Lace Closet' Laces, but oh boy it was worth it, a stunning card. Thank you for taking part xxx

Maria, I love your Christmas card, so pretty and those tiny Hedgehogs marching along with their gifts are just adorable, you have some amazingly cute images in your stash, thank you for taking part xxx

Michele,  another fab Christmas card, love the detail in that bauble, is it a die? did you make the Card candi in the corners with your own die too? My trouble with things like that is remembering to use them! I know you have had 'one of those weeks' so I really do appreciate you taking part xxx

Val, WOW, what a beautiful card, I love that paper you have used, that pocket you have made is just perfect and so is your tag, I am loving that butterfly die, is it a Memory Box die, if not tell me please as I 'NEED' one!  thank you so much for taking part xxx

Karen M, I absolutely love your card, it looks like you have used the Floral Muse paper pad, I love how you have added what looks like corrugated Kraft card, it looks amazing as contrast, adding the bakers twine works well too, sometimes ribbon is a little too much on some cards, adding the bakers twine gives a great finishing touch.  Thank you Karen for taking part xxx

I hope I have included everyone's cards,  I had a bit of trouble uploading but I think they are all there.  Let me know if not and I can add it in.

Thank you all once again for taking the time to take part, I really do appreciate it xxx

I'll be glad when these bloomin antibiotics are gone, I have never had an antibiotic that has made me
feel so unwell, hoping to pop out today but not unless I start feeling a little better.

I hope you all have a lovely day,

Love and hugs

Beautiful RAK (random act of kindness) from Janet

Beautiful Altered Heart

Back of Heart

 Gorgeous Gatefold card

Janet & Jim's last Pastries

Good Morning Ladies,

I can't believe how cold it has turned, I was out in just my cardigan on Wednesday when Sue and I went to Pat's and it was really warm.  Last night I was absolutely freezing, Paul came home from work and said that there was going to be a frost overnight with a slight risk of snow this morning. Just when you think Spring had sprung!!

Now whilst I was feeling rather unwell and a little fed up yesterday the postman arrived with a package that I wasn't expecting , Paul passed me the package with that "what have you been ordering now" look on his face!  I noticed the postmark and I knew straight away it was "Happy Mail"   Janet thank you so very much for the beautiful gift, the Gorgeous Gatefold Card has been so perfectly put together and the verse inside was beautiful.   Now onto the beautiful Altered MDF heart, which I believe you bought from Fernli designs, I love both the Floral Muse papers you have used to decorate the heart and the beautiful lace that you have trimmed it with, the beautiful little fan and such pretty flowers, the back is as beautiful, finished with the tiny heart.  I believe in the craft community this is known as a 'RAK ' (random act of kindness), to me it was a wonderful heartwarming gift from a dear friend, that brightened my day xx

Janet is going to describe to you the last pastries of their current stay at Marigny, so yesterday she sent me a photograph of them, so you can look at them while she describes them, imagine the M&S food advert voice ! Haha

Karen (watts), I hope you hear some exciting news over the weekend xxx

Janet I hope you manage to 'shoe horn' all of your new craft goodies into the car, have a safe journey home xxx

Hazel, I hope little Stan, continues to improve over the weekend xxx

I hope everyone manages to keep warm and have a good weekend.

Love and hugs

Angela's Beautiful Boxed card

 Angela's Boxed Card

Angela's Beautiful card
Good Morning Ladies,

How can it be Friday already?  It doesn't seem 5 minutes since we were preparing to meet up at
Ally Pally.

I just couldn't wait to share this beautiful all white card that has been designed and created by Angela,
your card making is just amazing Angela, this is just the most beautiful card.   The delicate embellishments, pretty pearl trimmed butterfly, a stunning lace bow, a beautiful fabric flower and some little pearl flowers just finish this stunning card perfectly. Is it one you have cut out on your Cricut ?
The box is trimmed with a matching die cut shape and finished with a pretty ribbon and a few pearls.
Thank you so much Angela for sharing your stunning card with us, xxx
I hope you can call in today to tell us how you created this card.

Lilian, I am pleased to hear that you have family arriving at the weekend to support you xxx

Angela and Trevor, have a lovely weekend away. xxx

I apologise for not making a card for today, these new antibiotics are making me feel really rough.
Hopefully normal service will return shortly xxx

Have a good day ladies,
Love and Hugs
