Good Friday Morning Ladies,
Well what a wash out yesterday was, I have honestly never seen as much standing water on the roads, it was flooded across both sides of the road in many places, driving through those huge floods terrifies me, that fear of losing control if your car aquaplanes. I felt totally safe with Soph but that amount of rain and standing water would put any driver on alert. The wipers were going full speed and were barely keeping up. Bladder clinic went fine, Suzanne the lovely nurse that gets it done first time with no pain is retiring and yesterday was her last day. I am not going to think about who will take over until the New Year 😬
The chimney sweep came, lovely chap, sadly couldn't sweep the chimney though, the pipe that connects the log burner to the flue has somehow become dislodged, which is probably why it hasn't been working for us the last few times, the last time we did put it on it filled the lounge with smoke, I thought it was Paul's bad fire management, turns out it was out of his control. Bill is coming to look at it today to see if it can be fixed.
I am sharing a lovely card that Gina made for our Festive Friday treat.
Gina's Description:
The stamped image is a Habico stamp on polymer, the original was on rubber, which I also have. The letters are by sizzix.
How gorgeous is that Santa Claus image??!! A proper vintage looking image. I love how you have pared the vintage image with Modern looking letters for your HOHOHO
An amazing Christmas card, thank you so much for sharing my lovely XXX
I hope that you all have a lovely Friday,
Love and hugs to all,

Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteWonderful Santa. I love him. Well done Gina.
Sonia, your card yesterday was beautiful, love the Poinsettia. Hope you manage to get a lot of walks with Barney in-between the rain showers.
Glad to hear that your bladder clinic went well. Take care.
Hope you are getting ready for the festivities and are looking forward to it all. Step son is here now for a few days and it's lovely to have him home.
Many hugs to you all, Maria xxx
Hello all, a dry day at last, the washing had an airing but didn’t dry much.
ReplyDelete.i have spent the day emptying my freezer, and defrosting it, took ages, but it looks better and seem to have more room. Roger gave me a hand as it has large drawers. Going to try and keep it tidy from now on.
Hoping to get back to crafting , with my embroidery machine.
I’ll wish you all a good night. Lilian
Hi Sandra and all.
ReplyDeleteYesterday’s card by Sonia is gorgeous. I love it. So pretty with the delicate colours xx
A lovely card by Gina today. Father Christmas could also be Old Man Time couldn’t he xx
Sandra I’m glad you managed one last session with the good nurse. 🤞🏻 the New Year will give you another as good and caring. It must have been horrid on the road with so much rain. At least you were in the safe hands of Soph xx
We have been out for a couple of hours to our local garden centre with Chris jnr and Penny walking, or riding on my part- not easy at all in places. Some fabulous lighting, we all really enjoyed it. I loved how they had simple lights on some of the trees letting them do the talking(?) Mother Nature can’t be beaten can she. It was very busy and that was at the 5pm opening time. It would have got far too muddy for Zoom later on. Apart from that I have been doing little bits of decorating. It is official that I am a Snowman addict. Will count them at some point but there are a lot! 🤭 Sleep well everyone. Take care. Love Sue xx
