Quick Pinterest inspired 'CASE' card

Good Wednesday Morning Ladies,

Becca's wedding make up trial was a great success, she looked naturally beautiful,  I realised yesterday that not one of my three girls wears make-up, other than a bit of concealer and mascara,  no foundation,  contouring,  blush or Lipstick,  I don't know whether its because I don't,  unless I'm going out and then its only mascara and a bit of Lipstick.  The girl that did Becca's yesterday is doing all seven of us on the morning of the wedding,  meaning a 6am start,  Becca and the Bridesmaids are all staying at the wedding venue the night before, she wants me to stay too but I prefer my own bed and my 'human comfort blanket' without which I'd get even less sleep than I do already, am I being selfish?  Lucy asked me to promise that I'd be there for both her hair and make-up to speak up for her if she was uncomfortable with anything,  bless her her anxiety rivals mine!  So I'd need Paul to drop me at the priory at 7am anyway.   It's all getting a bit too real ladies☺️
The girl did a good job of my Eyebrows,  I didn't really need a tint so said not to bother, she will sort them on the day with pencil as they seem to stop short, I don't know why as I have never really altered the shape of them,  she asked me if I'd consider 'Micro blading, which is having lots of tiny cuts to look like hairs then dye is added, like tattoo I guess,   it's a NO from me, I follow a girl on Social Media, she had it done and said that although she was numb she could feel it a bit but what was worse was you could hear the blade cutting,  even thinking about that makes me feel odd let alone experiencing it! Never mind the almost £300 cost and £200 every 12 -18 months maintenance!   That's a lot of craft stash,  apart from wedding where do i go that requires fancy eyebrows.  🤔 🤣😂

Today's card is my 'CASED' card from Pinterest,  the Lady that did the original is called 'Kelly1Kett'

This is her card, I love the simplicity but didn't have that stamp,  I did the background the same...

I used my Tim Holtz stamp block that has a grid, I added the Sprced Marmalade Oxide ink direct to the block, gave a very light spritz of water and pushed down onto my card.

The grid marks give extra interest to your background,  I spritzed again and set to dry while I trawled through my stamps to find a suitable alternative.
I decided to use the butterfly collage stamp from Sam Poole's Butterfly Walk stamp set.  I stamped in Versafine Clair Nocturn, I did have to stamp a couple of times due to stamping on Oxide ink.

Now I photographed the card before adding the drawn border lines (not my strong suit) I can't decide if I prefer with or without  ......

What do you think??

I hope you have a great day,

Love and hugs to all,

Sandra xxx

  1. I love both versions
I am so glad your day went well AND you have gone against micro blading When I look at some of the women in the media which must have had something similar and they look like they are frowning
I don’t wear makeup fullstop anymore but I am glad I had it done for the wedding a) it’s part of the build up - we had breakfast/snack buffet and b) for the photos
Got the boys today Although it is beautifully sunny here we have booked to go to cinema
    Take care everyone xx
