Good Sunday Morning Ladies,
I hope that you are all enjoying a lovely weekend, the weather is treating us very well.
We had a lovely day, we popped to the garden centre, we haven't been to this particular one for some time, we got lots of bargains there this time last year, all of which are blooming nicely in our garden, we hoped we might find some more bargains, we weren't disappointed!! We got another amazing haul, all reduced to 20p and 50p! So we are going to be planting them out today, along with some sweetcorn and runner beans. Don't we lead an exciting life🤣😂
Now lets look at what you have all been making...

The my card or this week, saw something similar on Pinterest, but only used inks both oxide and distress. Couldn’t get the black very dark through the stencil. Flowers are Tim Holtz and the background is a Lavinia stencil.
Great minds think alike, I saw a car like this on Pinterest too, the flowers on that one done using a stencil and black embossing paste. I love your version, your background is lovely, with so much interest.

My card for the week.
Yellow and orange of pixie powders. Run it through a flower 3D embossing folder. Stamped the sentiment and used some diamonds to finish it off.
You have really inspired me with this lovely card Maria, the flowers look like Pretty Marigolds. I like that embossing folder very much.
Thanks for the inspiration and for supporting the Challenge XXX

The background is a PinkFresh flower die, coloured with distress oxides using the matching 3 piece stencil. I framed it with Gummiapan rectangle dies, and added the Tim Holtz butterfly.

Beautiful, very effective cards ladies I am going to make more Christmas cards and maybe use a poinsettia instead of the numbers as it was so easy to make

Have a lovely day whatever you’re up to Take care everyone xx
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteSorry for missing you all yesterday, I was so sure I had been in but no . I have bought a few doublets over the years 😄 nothing too pricey tho. Wish we had a garden centre like yours, can never get anything that cheap around here. Loved the mother day card you got from Sophie, very clever.
Gina, your flower box is amazing. It must have taken you some time to make and that sweet card is so cute with the bunny.
Lovely cards ladies and Karen you are so good for starting the Xmas cards early.
Lilian, I love your card. That background is beautiful. Take care.
Nice to see your cards again Sonia. Two gorgeous grandchildren,, now you will be busy.
Gina hope you are alright and I hope you all can enjoy some of this glorious weather we have. I am 😉 I'm sitting on the patio as soon the sun have come around and the temperature has warmed up. Housework will have to wait. Many hugs to you all xxx
Hello everyone, isn’t this weather lovely, spent most of the day gardening, clearing out last years pots ready to plant up this year.
ReplyDeleteMaria have you tried mail order, we get loads of small plants to grow on . They are easy to grow as the initial few weeks are one for you. We use Gardening Direct, they deliver quite quickly and at the moment they are offering free P@P.
Lovely cards everyone, looking forward to this week’s challenge.
Have a good night, hugs to all. Lilian
Hello everyone, another lovely day, John went out in the garden after breakfast only stoping for a quick sandwich at lunch time then back out again until dinner was ready. I did get out for a while i have some tomato plants in the green house, I gave them a watering and chatted to them (yes I do talk to them!!!!) i bought them as plugs from Thompson and Morgan a company i have used for quite a few years, They are look very healthy, I also have a few trays of seeds I'm nurturing Sprouts and bedding plants.
ReplyDeleteLove today’s cards all so inspiring.
My sister is still in hospital. I ring every day, only to be told she is comfortable and happy. The doctors are back on duty tomorrow so hopefully they will decide if they are going to perform open heart surgery. I know they will do what is best for her.
Hope your day has been good. Take care everyone.
Love and hugs Brenda xxx
