My Challenge Card
My 2nd Challenge card
The sketch
Good Morning Ladies,
So without further ado, here are your Challenge Cards.......
Janet
Janet has designed a beautiful Birthday card, with a real touch of elegance, you can't go wrong with pearls and such gorgeous, Lacey die cuts, they work so well with the polkadot background card, that floral panel is so pretty, I love how you have arranged the pearls to make it look like a tag! Genius idea!
Thank you so much for taking part in this week's Challenge Janet.
XXX
Lilian
Lilian has designed a Christmas card for this week's Challenge and what a stunning Christmas card it is, I really love that background Lilian, really unusual and works beautifully with your design. Your Poinsettia is incredible, I love the shaping of the leaves and the colour, your stunning centre piece really sets it off. Edging your tag with peel-offs really makes it stand out. A stunning card, thank you so much Lilian, I hope "Brian" passes without too much damage to your area.
XXX
Karen
Karen also designed a Christmas card, using Lidl card, Karen hand cut her tag, (very impressive, I would have ended up with a tag too small to see by the time I had trimmed it straight) lol, Karen's Snowman is a Creative Expression die and the stars are Spellbinders. An absolutely fabulous Festive card Karen, thank you so much for taking part! Have you any pics of your new craft room?.
XXX
Margaret
Margaret has designed a Christmas card for this Sketch too, using Creative Expressions Snowflake Lattice Embossing Folder, a pretty tag trimmed with a pretty bow adorned with pretty stars. A pretty snowflake and SU Label with the greeting complete Margaret's pretty Christmas card.
Thank you so much for taking part Margaret, you have had such a busy week either worrying about Pops or looking after him, I hope as things calm down and return to normal you find more time to enjoy your crafting.

Michele
Michele has made such a pretty birthday card for this week's Challenge, I absolutely live the gorgeous colours you have used for this pretty design Michele. I particularly love how you have used that Sue Wilson greeting die as part of the actual Sketch, very clever idea.
Thank you so much for taking part Michele.
XXX
Lynda
Lynda has made 3 cards for this week's Challenge, 3 Amazing Christmas cards, I love that deer stamp you have used, it's do detailed, the first card has a pretty floral die cut background, the black gem in the centre really draws your eye into the detail of the card.
Lynda' s second card used the same Deer but this time with a pretty embossed background and Tim Holtz Alterations Scribble Christmas tree and wreath, everything works perfectly Lynda.
The third and final card has been made using a Crafters Companion 3D embossing folder 'Silent Night', Lynda has embossed it into the card and then added Gilding Wax to highlight the details, the pretty poinsettias are such a lovely finishing touch Lynda, thank you so much for 3 Amazing Challenge cards.

Ladies you are amazing, it makes me so proud to display your challenge cards each week, showing how you take a simple plan and turn it in to a work of art, thank you so very much.
Love and hugs,
Sandra xxx
Morning everyone,
ReplyDeleteAnother cornucopia of wonderful creations to gladden my eyes.
Each one is super spectacular, well done everyone.
Now I have set myself the weekends off for all things Panto and have some new dies to play with, I must start my Christmas in earnest. So far this year I have only managed about 20 or so. Following Michele's wonderful magazine reviews, I bought the Cards & Papercraft one, there are so many simple but effective samples of cards that I am now itching to try out this afternoon although I will have to use the dies I already have. Many of my SB dies do not come out of their drawer to play unless I am cutting out the many Christmas ones for the Pre-school.
More gurt biguns (((((HUGS))))) on their way to all who would like one today just because...
Love 7 hugs
Cheryl xxx
Hi Cheryl
DeleteMust pull the rest of my Christmas dies and stamps out from wherever they are.
My my didn't you buy a wonderful selection of Sue Wilson Dies.
Hope you have a lovely day today and that Brian isn't wreaking to much havoc down your neck of the woods.
Morning Everyone
ReplyDeleteOur Display Board looks beautiful this morning and what a way to start a Sunday Morning.
This week I really cannot choose a favourite so I can sit and look at all of them again and again.
Well we had a horrible day of high winds and rain yesterday and it's still the same this morning so definitely an indoor day for me today.
The CAFE is OPEN so if you have nothing planned pop in for a sit and a chat and look at all the beautiful cards on display NO CHARGE FOR ENTERING.lol xxxx
Hi Janet
DeleteLovely card today. Love the doily effect you have on this card.
Hope the rain stops soon. Looks like your end of the country is getting the full force of Bryan.
Ooh I do like Sundays seeing and admiring everyone’s beautiful work
ReplyDeleteNow SANDRA said she thought it was an easy sketch I struggled at first. But I did like the end result and will make more in this layout The tag was easy to to Cut a strip of copier paper the width I wanted Folded in half lengthwise and cut a “flag” like we do for ribbon actually Traced the points onto card Stuck on a piece of white and used Perfect Layers rulers to trim 1/16th” border I now have a template to create more I wish I’d embossed the red card though
I hope you all have a restful pain free Sunday
I am a little embarrassed by my room as it’s not posh Just a mish mash of furniture and clean paint but I will take a few photos
xx
Hi Karen
DeleteI to love your card. Might use your technique to make a tag like yours.
Don't be embarrassed re your craft room being a mishmash of furniture, so is mine. But mine is one full on mess.
Morning Ladies
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful collection of challenge cards. Like Karen, I lived the sketch but for some strange reason for it difyto make the card. Part of the problem was having very little time this last week.
Well-Storm Brian seems to have settled in Southport! Yesterday we had horrendous fakes & torrential rain. Today it’s just gale force winds...!! Everything seems ok but I’m not venturing up to the top enough the garden to check my greenhouse as it too windy & I wouldn’t be able to get any replacement glass until Saturday.
Housework then crafting today I think.
Michele
Hi Michele
DeleteLovely card today. Didn't see the sentiment on the first glance. Love the colours as well. Hope the weather has calmed down now.
Hi Sandra,
ReplyDeleteOh what a lovely display this morning. Ladies you've excelled yourselves again. Every is beautiful and you all deserve a big pat on the back.
Feeling so tired today so a quick mop downstairs and a few quiet hours tidying my craft room.Actually I feel like going to bed but I always feel guilty unless I'm I'll.
Hugs to all. Stay safe if you're caught up in Brian.
Love Valxxx
I

Hi Sandra & all in cafe,
ReplyDeleteSandra thank you for the challenge I enjoyed it, I am thankful I did it Monday as I have not had any time since. All the cards are lovely & soo different, well done.xxx
Maria, Lynda & any others in pain healing hugs on the way.xxx
Hugs on the way to any who need them love Margaret xxx
Hi Margaret
DeleteGreat card today. I hope Alan is feeling better today and his mobility is improving each day. Going up and down stairs was my biggest problem.
Hi Sandra and all in the Café today. A beautiful array of challenge cards to enjoy. Thank you all for sharing your lovely CC's. Isn't it interesting that out of the 8 cards 6 are Christmas cards using red, one of the traditional colours that always springs to mind when we think of Christmas. Great minds think alike it seems but no two ladies have used the same patterns, textures etc 😊
ReplyDeleteI am just getting my craft things out to make a couple of birthday cards and if they don't take me all day to decide on what colours designs etc I hope to make a Christmas card or two. I wonder if anything will change my plans?
I hope Brian hasn't caused anyone any lasting damage, it isn't too bad here, just such strong gusts every now and then. We do have a lovely blue sky with just a few clouds, I do hope it stays that way.
Right, I'm going get on with my cards now so will wish you all a happy Sunday. Sending love and hugs to you all with extras for all in need. Take care xx
Hi Sandra and ladies
ReplyDeleteWell, I also wondered what happen to Saturday. I see Maria lost Friday. What a pair we are Maria.
Lovely fabulous show yesterday. Janet I love love your box. What a fabulous gift.
Lynda, I'm also in awe of your mixed media cards. Like Janet you have a real flair. Even if you said it's hit and miss. Wish I could hit and miss like you. I'd be well pleased.
A fantastic show of cards ladies today. Mind you all the cards shown on the blog are fantastic. Well I must away to pick up Doreen for lunch.
Stay safe everyone with Brian still lurking about.
Thank you Pat for your lovely comments on my mixed media cards
DeleteYesterday. Enjoy your lunch 🍽🍧🍷☕️ with Doreen. Hope your doing ok Hug's for you & Pete xx
Hi Sandra & ladies
ReplyDeleteWow some lovely challenge cards this morning. The deer stamp I used was Indigoblu winterland wood. I actually bought it last year at AP & never used it.
We have Tesco this morning as Terry was tired when he got home from his day painting. Then I'm going in craft room after we get home. I have another grungy card on the go so that's a challenge for me.
Very windy & dark today looks like we are in for some rain ☔️.
JANET if it's not a problem could you cut me one of your boxes from yesterday thank you.
Well better get ready to go shopping. Thank you Margaret for your Hug's xx
Sending some back for you &Pop.
HUG's on the way for everyone 🤗🤗🤗🤗
Love Lynda xx
Hi Lynda
DeleteLook forward to seeing your grungy card when it's completed.
Lovely Christmas cards today. Love how you've used the 3d embossing folder. I've not see it done in white with the gold on it before. It looks very effective.
Gentle hugs coming your way. My hand looks great and hopefully I'll end up with proper skin if that makes sense. If not I'm very happy with it as it is.
Hello Sandra and friends,
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic display of cards today, I love seeing how everyone manages from a sketch and some inspiration from Sandra to make such different cards. What a wealth of talent we have on this blog. 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻
Not a lot happening here today, OH has been looking for places to rehouse his CD collection, ready for when we get the new sofas, and wanting my opinion, I’ve lost count of how many times they have gone from room to room across the hall (well in his mind) I suggested they went in a cabinet in the dining room, so now he is a happy bunny organising his collection........ PEACE at last!!! .... is that book still around? I have read it to all of the grandchildren over and over again! Sorry about the waffling there.
Time to check the dinner, we are having braised steak, it been in a low oven for hours, it should be nice and tender.
Have a lovely evening everyone, Hugs Brenda xxx
Hi Brenda.
DeleteHope that OH has managed to finally find a home for his CD collection. I feel that way about the book the Hungry Caterpillar. I used to read it to Sophie the most. Sometimes 20 times over in a day. A few years ago she even made me a caterpillar cake using fairy cakes for my birthday,
Hello All, well Brian arrived yesterday with full force, no damage thankfully.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful display of cards today, must admit I find this sort of sketch difficult. Don’t know why, I’m hoping that it will be a stamping challenge for this week.
On my own this week, as R is in London staying with our daughter. Has several meetings to attend, since I had my blackout I’m more unsure on my own.
Part way through sorting my craft papers, so hoping to get rid of a lot, but finding it difficult. Hope you have a good evening, hugs Lilian
Hi Lilian
DeleteHave they still not sorted out what caused you to black out yet. I know a friend of ours had a blackout, although he wasn't driving a car. He was told not to drive. However, after tests and they found nothing untoward he was then allowed to drive. He's had no problems since. I'm glad Brian caused no damage where you are.
Hi my friends,
ReplyDeleteso many fabulous cards on display today, I love them all! Well done everyone.Sorry I didn't make one this week Sandra, many other things on my mind and no mojo is not a good combination but after seeing some of your cards today it have given me some ideas so hope to make something tomorrow. I hope you all had a nice Sunday whatever you been up to. Met up with friends at ww and after went for breakfast so was not back until past noon. Felt good so just changes quickly and spent some hours in the garden digging, son crossed with me so he will help a bit in the morning unless it's raining. We haven't had too many problems with Brian, wind not too bad here (hope Michele, Janet and Lilian are alright). Took a book out from the library last week and started to read and soon I woke up and it's gone 6pm Lol Glad I don't have to cook any dinner today. Have a good evening everyone, hugs Maria xxx
Hi Maria
DeleteI hope the pain clinic is doing you some good.
