Travel/Transport Journal page

Good Morning Ladies,

I hope that you are all as well as can be today and that the weather isn't too crazy!   We had a mix of weathers yesterday including gale force winds,  Lucy and I popped into the garden centre to get some plant pot bottoms (the little saucer things),  the wind really picked up while we were there,  the devastation that it caused was unbelievable, large pots if shrubs and plants were blown off their stands and were blowing about the walkways, some without their pots!

Another lovely illustration and great sentiment.

Today I am sharing a journal page that I started on Tuesday, finished yesterday.

I used Arden Creative 'Been There' collection,  I took a piece of the paper from the collection and spritzed it with Vintage Photo & Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Spray to add some colour to the paper,  I then created a coloured Embossing paste by taking some Translucent Texture paste and adding some Mica powder to it and mixed well,  I used it through a stencil.  I added some water to the paste and used it to added splatters.  I then added some background stamping,  then came the fun part.....building the focal points,  all from the 'Been There' laser die cuts.  I inked around them and built up the two areas.

I liked how this one turned out.

Love and hugs,

Sandra xxx

I hope that you all have a lovely day ,

  3. Hi Sandra and everyone.
Caught up on the last two days, forgot to look in on Tuesday but I love that embossed card. The colour is gorgeous along with such a pretty ef. Yesterday’s is a great one. You are so good at using previously made background aren’t you. It makes so much sense to make a batch. Today’s travel piece is wonderful. I love the colours and shine on some of them. And then the great die cuts. Now I have looked up close and I think the material that you stapled on is real. Or is that a die cut too? It is hard to tell sometimes. Whichever it is it adds a different textured look, love it all.
What a shame to hear about the plants being blown around yesterday at the garden centre.
Gem came in from work last night and said that it was 16 degrees when it was 35 degrees the same time last week! We have had a lot of rain already with a lot of high winds. And more to follow for the next 10-12 days if the forecast turns out to be right.
Have a good day everyone. We are off to order the carpets and to make final decisions on what furniture to get. It’s going to be a busy few weeks but it will be so good to get it done at last. Take care. Love Sue xx

  4. Hi everyone
Sorry to hear that you all seem to have such a dreadful weather at home while we are sunning us in +28 c . Summer will come soon, I wish for us all 🙏
I have loved all the cards and journal page that you have made Sandra. I'm very disappointed with my embossing powders that I bought some years ago because they have all dried up so are now useless 😞. I buy my cards, usually 6x6 and 5x7 with envelopes. Very rarely have I made my own. Tried a few times to make boxes but they were a flop 🤭😂
Sonia, have a great time away. Hopefully you can still find something to do.
Karen, hope you managed to sort out your machine. Have fun at the bowls.
Lilian, sorry to hear your legs are so bad. I have pain in mine every day but not sure if that's the same as restless legs. Hope you be alright.
Sue, hope you be alright. Not sure what you are up to but hopefully you will be happy with the end result 🙂
Brenda, hoping that you are ok and John too. Take care.
Many sunny hugs coming here to you all, Maria xxx
