Our makes this week...

Good Sunday Morning Ladies,

Just a quickie today as I am feeling a bit low,  we all go through these days don't we.  Sometimes things that wouldn't normally bother you really get to you.

Anyway crafting makes everything better,  although I struggled with inspiration this week,  I have to make myself sit and create something on these days, once I get the idea in my head I generally enjoy creating.

Let's look at what you have been creating Karen & Lilian.....

Karen

Karen's Description:

Card 1:  A card made with bit box pieces
A Pixie Powder background, scraps of black card
The white “topper” was a discarded card blank I’d spoiled and blow me I didn’t cut it straight So stuck it on the wonk and added the black pearls

Card 2:  A 2nd card for the challenge using waste/bit box

The HAPPY (a SueW die) is waste from making shaker cards As they were slightly different whites I smooshed DO over them I cut BIRTHDAY in one and backed it in black
I offset them because I didn’t think I could line them up

Two amazing Bit Box cards,  those pixie powders look so lovely,  the gold mica, love your layout too, adding those black pearls really highlights that offset design.

You can't go wrong with a DO background,  its good to get those old dies out again too.  Great card for any gender.

Thank you so much for supporting the blog with two lovely cards.  XXX

Lilian

Lilian's Description:

Hi, Here is my challenge piece for this week.
I used pressed leaves, which I shall never use again, as I tried to stick them down they just crumple. The other bits are ephemera from several places.

Oh Lilian,  I know the pressed leaves were a pain to stick but my goodness they are so beautiful,   I love the pinky red tinge to the edges of the leaves, they are so delicate and pretty.
I love the background you have created and those darling little woodland animals bring the cuteness.

Thank you so very much for taking the time to create something for today's blog post my lovely XXX

I hope that you all have a lovely Sunday,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra xxx

  1. Hi everyone
    Beautiful creations this week 😍
Sorry I didn’t get in yesterday and sorry no card from me for today.
Anniversary cards to finish this week so I’ll definitely have something to share next week!
We had a lovely day yesterday celebrating mum and dad’s 60th wedding anniversary. It was so lovely to see friends and family again after so long. I think mum and dad enjoyed it and everyone loved the slide show and photos with messages I’d displayed ☺️ We also had a lovely meal last night, but by the end of the evening we were all pretty tired! I actually had the best nights sleep I’ve had in weeks!
Sandra, I hope you’re feeling better today and slept well last night 🥰
Sue enjoy your family day at Longleat 😊 We’re off to the Centre Parcs there in June for Teddy’s birthday.
    Have a good day everyone
Sending hugs to you all xx

We’re playing bowls this afternoon so I hope the weather cheers up
    Take care everyone xx

  3. Good morning everyone, another rainy day, so miss the sunshine.
Karen your cards are great, different inspiration every week. I must do more printing.
Sorry to hear you are feeling so low at the moment, I think we can all sympathise with those feeling . I don’t know if you do any other crafts, but I find switching crafts a great help. Crochet is good , I know I only do easy stuff but I enjoy it, going to try making a cardigan for myself next. I don’t do baking buts it’s also good, plus you get some delicious makes. How about some sewing, if you have some fabric stashed away. You can always recycle unused clothes or bedding.
Enjoy your day, and sending big hugs.

  4. Hi everyone
Lovely card from our Lilian and Karen. I love your background's and the little hedgehog is so cute 🥰
Sorry not to join in this week but sometimes I can't focus and when the sun is out I just have to suck up the ray's but hoping to make some this coming week. 🤞
So glad your parents enjoyed their day Sonia, Happy Anniversary to them both. 😊
Sue, hope you had a wonderful day at Longleat. Do you always go to the park or are you doing the house and gardens too ?
Sorry you struggled Sandra and my only wish is that you felt better as the day went. I remember you used to make such beautiful jewellery. Is that something you could do in-between card making ? You also a very good baker.... Sending you a big hug 🤗
We only went out to Waitrose this morning for a coffee first of course, thankfully their machine was in working order again, then a few bits for dinner for the next few days.
I have a box of old ww magazines that I'm clearing out, have to look through first tho incase I like to keep any of the recipes 😉
Sending big hugs to you all, take care xxx

  5. Hi Sandra and everyone.
Lovely cards as always to enjoy today.
Sandra I hope you are feeling a bit brighter today xx
Karen , great idea to colour the letters so there is no problem matching the whites! I must remember that tip xx
Lilian, I’m so glad you persevered with those tiny leaves as they are gorgeous xx
Sonia, congratulations to your parents. Great to hear everyone enjoyed all of your hardworking xx
We have had a wonderful day at Longleat. Home now, very tired but very happy. It was so good to have all of the kids and grand kids all together. Gem put a Happy Birthday sash and big badge on me on arrival at Longleat then I was given a “cake “ (freshly made doughnuts from the stall there) with candles when we sat at some picnic tables for lunch when everyone, not just the family sang happy birthday to me- only about 80 odd people so not embarrassing at all !!!! 🥰🥰🥰
Sleep well everyone. Take care. Love Sue xx

  6. Maria, sorry forgot to say that we do the safari drive through and then go and park by the house which I love and also see the other smaller animals and take the miniature train and boat trip. It’s only about an hour and a half for us but two and a half for you. Maybe you could stay nearby in an Airbandb? Xx

We have been at daughters in Caterham today it’s been lovely her two daughters are home although grandson is still studying in Spain and not sure when he will be back home again. Our other daughter and husband came up from Essex, it was a very last minute arrangement but lovely nonetheless. So now we are back home and feeling very tired so won’t be long before we go to bed.
Take care, love and hugs, Brenda xxx
