Good Friday Morning Ladies,
I hope that you are all as well as can be and looking forward to the weekend.
Today I am sharing a 'Throwback' card, going back to 1st November 2019. It was my first ever Groovi Christmas card, I was really pleased with how it turned out. I had to put the greeting on the inside as I could figure out a way to make it work in the front.
I haven't used my Groovi stuff in years, I should maybe sell it, it definitely requires a lot of patience, which I discovered I don't have, to create the perfect piece takes days if not longer, as you have to let the parchment rest between rounds of doing the white work, I need a card done in one day really. I really do appreciate how beautiful the work is though.
I hope that you all have a good end to the week,
Love and hugs to all,
Sandra xxx

I agree Groovi/parchment is beautiful but even though I crochet and knit I haven’t got the patience for Groovi
ReplyDeleteHaving our hair done today and that’s about as strenuous I’m going to be🤣 We’ve had a lovely 2 days with the boys but it is quite tiring
Happy Halloween to those who celebrate and Take care everyone xx
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteLove your throwback card. It’s beautiful 😍
Wet and windy here this morning!
Not up to much, got mother in law coming this afternoon for a cuppa.
Maria, have a lovely day at NEC, will look forward to seeing what you buy 😊
Have a good day everyone
Sending hugs to you all xx
Hi Sandra and all looking in. A beautiful card yesterday, by the time I got home I dumped my bags, had a couple of crackers then went to bed so didn’t get to see another one of that gorgeous shades of blue. I love today’s Groovi card too. You made some stunning cards. I haven’t touched my Groovi stuff either. I might put it in the bedroom for days when I can’t get downstairs. It might not be possible to use it then though depending on how much my hands are affected but will see. I had a lovely time with you. It was good to craft with you even if I didn’t get a piece that was much good. I will have a go at making a card with one of the pieces tomorrow. My hands are still stained blue though! 🤣🤣
ReplyDeleteKaren, the museum sounds great. Where is it? Have you been back to the toy museum since it was updated? Glad you’ve had fun either way the boys even though it is tiring 🥱🥰
I’m having a quiet day today before the weekend when we will have most if not all of the grands will be here 🥰🥰
Take care everyone. Love Sue xx
Beautiful card. Barbara Grey used to make groovy look so easy, but you did have to be very patient when doing it. I haven’t used my Groovy plates for a long time but your post might just be the nudge i need. xxx
ReplyDeleteWishing you all a lovely weekend, love and Brenda xxx
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteI love this card and have always been interested in trying to do groovy but never bought any as I found them a bit pricey but if you want I could take them off your hands 😉
As you know I did go to the NEC today and I bought a few bits but nothing as before when I been there. I hope that you all saw the cakes. They were amazing and the sugar work on them are fabulous, too nice to eat 😊
I would love to see you all there but I did struggled a bit with so many people around. I got hot and felt a bit dizzy at times. I had with me one crutch to help but a wheelchair in this place would have been difficult to get through when it was busiest. By the time I got to the area for paper crafting I got stressed for I couldn't find what I written on my list, very small list 😂 and time was running out because I had to catch the train back home and I wasn't sure how often the shuttle bus was taking you from the hall to the station. I have told OH that I might have to do some shopping online as I didn't find what I really, really wanted 🤭 he still hasn't answered me 😀. I will send you a photo tomorrow of my little haul 😉
I hope that you all have had a nice Friday. Sorry being so late. Time for bed but don't think it will be much sleep, the body feels like it been bulldozed 😊. Sleep well everyone. Hugs Maria xxx
