A different Christmas Pine branch card

Good Monday Morning Ladies,

Here we are at the start of a new week,  a busy one here, I have two appointments this week, one for a 24hr ECG and then Nurse on Thursday for Coil appointment, I felt a little more reassured after discussing things with her on Wednesday,  she thinks it will be good for helping manage HRT, it will provide the Progesterone part, not that I was aware that I needed HRT,  did you ladies have it?

I hope that you all had a nice relaxed weekend my lovelies, yesterday was very relaxed for me, Paul was busy out in the garden, we also have a major issue with our Fridge Freezer, its making a horrendous noise, I spent hours looking a new ones, Paul says he would prefer a seperate fridge and freezer for this very reason, if one goes wrong you wouldn't have to replace both.  I showed him a video of someone with the same issue so he spent hours trying to fix it. As I am writing this it is still a work in progress!!

Today's card was made using another colouring technique. which I will get to in a minute, first though I did the background, I put my piece of watercolour card in my splat box and spritzed it with Spray Stain in Iced Spruce and Speckled egg and a spritz of water. I heated to dry and then placed it in my stamping tool, (which is necessary for this technique). I stamped the pine branch in Rustic Wilderness and then I lined up the pine cone branch so that it fit perfectly over the stem of the first layer, I stamped the pine cones in Archival brown ink and then coloured the pinecones with Gathered Twig Oxide ink as this is opaque so you cannot see the pine fronds behind, now the issue with using opaque ink is that it hides all the detail of the stamp, but.... if you leave your card in place in your stamp tool you can ink up those pine cones again and stamp the detail over the top of the oxide ink, so you have all the detail back, you have coloured pine cones without the need to do any masking. Such a great idea, thank you Mr Holtz!! I added a spritz of mica spray over the whole piece to add some sparkle and added the sentiment in Archival Vintage photo, I mounted the card onto a Kraft Background to finish.

I hope that you all have a great start to your week,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra xxx
