Margaret's Gun Dog Man Card

Good Monday Morning Ladies,
Well everyone is back to normal routine this week, Paul back to work, girls back to full week of school,
so I will be venturing into the Craft room, I actually can't wait, the other fantastic back to normal thing this week is that I get to see my 'crafty' sister....Sue, I hope you haven't exhausted yourself too much at family camp this weekend!
On to today's card, what a fantastic 'man' card Margaret (Corgi) has designed, a fantastic Gun Dog Image,
perfectly set against that fantastically textural background, it looks a cross between leather and wood grain,
its certainly very masculine, Margaret I hope that you are feeling well enough to see your card displayed today, I would love to hear from you if you are up to it, thank you so very much for allowing me to share your card with our fantastic blog family.
I would like to wish Hazel and Patricia a very happy holiday, you two deserve to have a little luxury, relax and unwind and come back ready to 'retreat'!!!
Only 7 weeks and 4 days to go!!!!!
Yesterday's tournament was long, about 5 hours to be precise, but the girls team came second, which for them is a huge achievement, fantastic bonus for me was that one of the other girls mums has a 6 week old baby boy, he was the cutest, she needed to pop home and go to shop so i got to sit and snuggle with little Bradley all afternoon, oh I was so content, he fell asleep laying across my chest, I felt very 'maternal' afterwards, Paul told me not to look at him the way I 'apparently' was and also that under no circumstances were we going to even to discuss it, after listening to the little cutie scream as he was getting hungry, I was in total agreement with Paul, happy to wait for the Grandchildren, the girls however, would have stowed the little one in the back of the car to bring him home!
I will call in later this morning ladies, I am waiting for my 'NEW' wheelchair to arrive today!
Love and hugs
Sandra

Myra's beautiful butterfly Card

Good Sunday Morning Ladies,
Today's card is just so beautiful, created by our dear Myra, Myra I think you have designed
Such a stunning card, it's clean and simple, which highlights perfectly the stunning dies,  which are
Of course Creative Expressions Majestic Monarch, I fell in love with this die when you used it many months ago on a set of boxed notelets and have been ever since, you really know how to show this die  at it's very best.
The addition of a few of Sue Wilson's Peony dies, both open and complete petals and the little touch of Trailing  Ivy, also designed by Sue Wilson of Creative Expressions, gives the perfect finishing touch. I love the colour you have chosen as well Myra,  thank you so much for sharing thus stunning card with all of us xxx
Well today is supposed to be a day of rest, right??? Well not here, we have a football tournament today, thankfully this afternoon, I really wasn't keen on going but the girls said that they would like me to watch so I kind of have to go, I am desperate to get in the craft room, although I think my mojo my have buried itself on the beach in Spain!
I can do some crafting tomorrow when I am home alone, Paul was supposed to be away, thankfully it got cancelled as I am a little to dependant physically at the moment, after almost three days in the car, the last day (was supposed to be a couple of hours journey for an early afternoon ferry) but we got caught on the motorway in the centre of Paris behind 1512 tractors taking part in a demonstration because of the low prices of various produce! The chose the main route to Ch. de Gualle airport and Calais, we were sat for over two hours, we therefore missed our ferry and ended up getting home at ten at night rather than tea time !  I have to say that my husband rarely swears about anything, which made it more of a shock when he decided to honk the horn many times and shout the most colourful language at the farmers as we passed, the look on the girls faces was a picture, followed by fist pumping and "go Dad" !!!
So that day we were in the car for almost 18 hours!! Ouch is all I will say! The other reason I was relieved is because he is away all week next week!  Thank goodness Sue and Pat are both home!
Well I must get organised, the post holiday Roast Dinner is on the menu today, I do miss proper vegetables when we are away.
Karen, I hope your run goes well today, you go girl!!!! Xxx
Anne, congratulations on your amazing achievement, raising so much money for charity,  in spite of the weather!
Pat, I hope you are having an amazing holiday in Salou, I miss you though! Xxx
Maria have fun in NY !!
Sue, I hope you are a happy camper!
I will catch up with you all later,
Love and hugs

Mixed Craft Saturday

 Patricia's Perfect Purple Box
Another Selection Of Brenda's Fabulous Pottery
Hazel's Beautiful Thank you cards

Good Saturday Morning Ladies,
Well its so nice to be back behind the counter after so many weeks!
I must say that Patricia did a grand job in my absence, I am very grateful, thank you so very much.
Thank you too to all of you, my very dear friends for supporting the cafe while I have been away,
I chose not to read too many of the comments while I was away to preserve my blood pressure a little,
I have to say you are all amazingly hilarious, you could make the most troubled person smile, a quality that
is very precious!
Patricia you can have a well earned lie in today, everything is set up and ready to go, I picked up the shopping list and all stocks have now been replenished! There were a few odd items on that list though,
I will leave those to your imagination!
Some fresh croissants and pain au chocolat are in the basket behind the counter, please help yourself,
I have to add though that an observation that we make every year when we travel through France, I can't get my head around the tradition of putting your coffee in a cereal  bowl and dipping your thickly buttered baguette or croissant into it! Why ??
Is it a similar thing to dunking a biscuit, ????
Your thoughts please ........ xx
Now onto today's stunning range of crafts....

First up is Patricia's gorgeous box, created in beautiful coloured card, I am sure that you can find out how to make it on Patricia's fabulous blog, I would like to thank you Patricia for allowing me to share your beautiful crafts with everyone today xxxx

Well it wouldn't be Mixed Craft Saturday without some of Brenda (LL)'s amazing pottery, I think that we should rename you Brenda Potter, as you have a serious talent there Brenda and also because we all think
you are magic (like Harry)......(Potter)! sorry Brenda, bad joke!
Thank you so much for keeping Mixed Craft Saturday by sharing your fabulous pottery each week xxxx

Last but by no means least is a 'Simply Stunning' Collection of Thank you cards made by the very talented
Hazel, I think that Hazel said she made these beautiful cards with the leftover bits from some wedding invitations, what a perfect way to say 'thank you' for all the wedding gifts, Hazel thank you so much for sharing your gorgeous cards with us xxxx

Well that's all for today, I have a mountain of washing just sat waiting to be sorted, I thought I might try and do it myself and cut the piles in half, (darks, whites & Coloureds), if Paul does it, there will be a Blue, yellow, green, pink, red and white pile, oh and don't forget the darks too!! Not that I am complaining, he is an absolute angel, there aren't many that would work full time and do all he has to at home too, he is a perfectionist however!!
Have a lovely Saturday my lovelies,
Love and hugs

Challenge Card from Lynda !

Good Morning Ladies,
Just a quickie from me today.
Today's gorgeous card has been designed and Created by our lovely Lynda (DB)!
Lynda has only used one die to make this card - Creative Expressions Californian Collection die, designed by Sue Wilson.
Lynda has stamped the image and used her promarkers to colour the poppy stamp perfectly, I love the depth you have given the buds and leaves by using different shades of green Lynda.
Lynda has used the above mentioned die to cut out and frame her focal image and then matted and
layered the background with complimentary colours. The Sentiment has been printed onto white card that Lynda has cut into a 'flag' shape and used a variety of pretty flowers to add the perfect finishing touch to the card.
Lynda I am very grateful that you took the time and effort to share one of your amazing cards on my blog, Lynda's blog is also a fantastic source of inspiration. xxx
Love and Hugs to all

I love the image you have chosen too Myra, it could be a well done for your fabulous exam results or
