Good Sunday Morning Ladies,
The weather certainly isn't good however! I dread to think of the flooding that will be caused by the constant torrential rain we had for the whole day yesterday, we drove to Cirencester to do our foodshop and the standing water on the road was unbelievable, at many points both sides of flooding met in the middle of the road, it was really deep too, it was supposed to be warmer this weekend but it certainly didn't feel it yesterday, I think that horrible damp cold is the worst, it seems to make your whole body ache.
Enough of the gloominess lets look at your lovely bright and cheerful cards....
Maria
Maria's Description;
Happy, colourful cards for Sunday coming here.
The first one is the rose stencil. Tim Holtz ink and a little stamp with forever yours.
I dug out the cutting plates I got from you and used bright yellow and deep pink and weaved them together. Cut happy birthday out of green paper and heat embossing twice, a couple of flowers too in similar colour.
Oh Maria your Rose stencil card is stunning 😍 I love the colours that you used, layering onto mirror card adds a little touch of luxury too.
Your woven card is certainly bright & cheerful! You would definitely smile when you opened it, sometimes we need a card like that, its like a hug in an an envelope!
Thank you so much for two lovely cards Maria, I hope that you are feeling better today XXX

Hi, here is my card for this week.
It’s bright and cheerful as you asked for. Very simple washi tape.
I have quite a few rolls, which I need to use.
What a gorgeous card Lilian 😍, those Washi Tapes work so well together, such a brilliant idea.
Thank you so much for taking part XXX

Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteBeautiful happy colour cards Sandra, and Karen, love your cards. Lilian what a gorgeous card made with washi tape, a great Idea how to use them up.
Hardly slept in the night because of the strong wind and rain and probably because I slept a lot during the day. I got up at 6 am , had a cup of tea and finished off the crystal art. Still in my pjs and sitting here watching re-runs of Wild at heart until OH taking over for some sport later on.
Have a lovely day everyone and Brenda, have a fabulous day with the family. Many hugs to you all, Maria xxx
Hi Sandra and all looking in. Beautiful bright and cheerful cards which are even better being shown today when it is so dark, cold and windy! I think it was a wonderful challenge during these shorter days when the clocks go back.
ReplyDeleteI did manage to get Gems card finished at about 10.30pm but it’s not a bright and cheerful one so wouldn’t have worked this week. It was my first attempt at an eclipse card and I was actually mostly happy with it. As usual it was the finishing touches that stumped me and it was far too late to ask you for some advice. I do wish I had just a pinch of your talent my lovely. The best and most important bit was how Gem was delighted with it and thought it was amazing how I had managed to line the letters up with the papers. Bless her but she didn’t realise how I couldn’t take as much credit as she thought. I knew she loved the papers when she saw them on my desk ages ago. I put them into a clear document holder with a note of her loving them then I when I found them recently I knew they were ideal for this type of card. I will send a photo of the card to you Sandra as one to have on standby.
I hope everyone reading this is safe from the weather. I ended up putting my headphones on with an audio book about 1.30am as the wind and rain were so loud. It sounds like it is worse again now so we could be in for another loud night but that is nothing compared to some people so I am definitely not complying. Take care. Love Sue xx
Hello what a terrible day, poor R had a puncture yesterday, and had to change it himself as he left the details of the break down service home. He was wet through when he eventually got home.
ReplyDeleteLovely cards again today, Sandra you are our shining star when it comes to making cards.
Hope you all safe and dry from the terrible weather, roads shut, no trains running at all, so just staying in and keeping warm.
Goodnight all. Lilian
