Mixed Up Saturday

Good Saturday Morning Ladies,

I hope that you are all relaxed and looking forward to the weekend.  What are you all up to?  Brenda I am sure you will be celebrating your birthday with your family.  Apart from weekly shopping we don't have any plans,  which I am relieved about as for some reason I feel mentally & physically exhausted.   There are lots of firework displays happening around us this weekend,  Matt asked us if we'd like to go to one with him & Alex and some friends of theirs,  when he said it was £17 each, Paul's eyes almost popped out of his head!!  I actually couldn't think of anything worse.  There are two different ones in the village, one at a Cider Farm, which sounds more up Paul's street,  plus it's free!!  I imagine we will watch them from home if at all.  I do hope that whatever you are doing you have a lovely time.

Now lets have a look at a bit of shopping:

I bought some different decorative papers this week....

This was the pad I ordered from Amazon to use with my Sizzix Postage stamp die,  I love the vintage Christmas scenes.

Now for something VERY bright & colourful:

Aren't these just a breath of fresh air??  This paper collection is called:  Full of Life,  which is a good description.  I used one of these for yesterday's card

The next collection is a variation of similar collections designed for different seasons,  this one is called :  Splendid Autumn

I love the colours in this collection as the name suggests it is very Autumnal.

Now lets look at Karen's shopping :

Karen has had her eye on these Aall&Create leaf dies for a while,  this week she took the plunge and ordered them.  They look great, I love that the outline is a separate die so that you could colour the inner detail and make them stand out with a bold background.

Some of my favourite cards of Karens are her Leaf cards,  I think I have 3 versions, all slightly different styles,   these are a two of them  ..

I can't wait to see how you incorporate your new leaf dies into one of these designs.
Thank you so much for sharing your shopping my lovely XXX

That's all for today Ladies, I hope that you have a fantastic Saturday,

Love & hugs to all of you,

Sandra xxx

  1. Great saying I move things around all of the time with the intention of throwing stuff away!
I had a bit of birthday money and decided to treat myself to these dies As you can see they are quite large comparing them to a 50p piece I love the distressed edges etc I have now ordered the matching stamps! Well it would have been rude not to!

  2. Hi Sandra and all looking in. I’ve enjoyed looking at your gorgeous Christmas card on Thursday, it is a stunner. I love the bright and beautiful challenge. It will give everyone a very much needed boost of colour. It was just the same down in Devon as it is here in Oxfordshire!
The winter scenes papers are fabulous, love them and how you used one to make that card. The other pads are great too, some lovely papers. I must have a look for them on Amazon.
Thank goodness the doc has spoken to you but the consultant will be able to explain the the mri fully, hopefully you haven’t got too long to wait to speak to him now xx
Karen, those leaf dies are fantastic and I love what you have done with them already. You should treat yourself sometimes xx
We are both completely worn out but we both had a lovely time seeing most of the family that are down in Devon so a great visit. And the afternoon we went up to adjoins Tor the thick mist lifted for a couple of hours unexpectedly just as we were driving there! It was as if it knew how much I needed to reset my brain. Within minutes of driving away the mist descended again! It often does that on the moor but we were so lucky it cleared at the perfect time for me. And it also meant that there were only a handful of people up there and none around the part I love the most. I have slept more since we got back than I have for I don’t know how long and could happily shut my eyes again now 🤭 Have a good Saturday. I’m off to do some laundry then maybe a bit of crafting if I can stay awake 🤞🏼. Take care. Love Sue xx

  3. Hello everyone, wet here today, BUT we are going to have some sun next week.

Karen your leaf dies are really good, the matching stamps will be the perfect pairing.

That saying is so true, I’m always moving stuff trying to make more room, but you know what they say “ you can’t fit a quart in a pint pot” I must get rid of some I have several old die cutting machines waiting for me to get rid of them.

Hope you all have a good evening, Lilian
