Alcohol inks & Snowflakes

Good Morning Ladies,

We had a bright and sunny day yesterday, which was a lovely change to the last few days.  We are hoping its going to stay dry for a few days so that we can get our Sun Room dried out, the wind was blowing that torrential rain under the flashing on the roof above, so we had buckets and bowls all over to catch the water,  the cats sit in there as its huge windows and they can watch the birds, they were very confused by the palava.  Hopefully it will dry out quickly.  With the huge trees in our garden we were very lucky to only have a leaky roof.

For today's card I used some of the Alcohol ink backgrounds that I made a week or so ago, I picked the blue ones I'd made to use with some snowflakes.  I die cut three squares and adhered them to my card,  I used some scraps of white card to die cut the snowflakes, I layered two together for extra dimension and finished each one with a sparkle.  I arranged the squares across the card and added a Tim Holtz Christmas sentiment beiow the squares.  Quite a Clean & simple design.

I hope that you have a good day,

Love and hugs,

Sandra XXX

  2. Hi everyone
A beautiful CAS card, I love it very much with the blue background with white snowflakes. Must dare and play with my inks one day 😊
Thinking of you Karen and family. Hoping you still have a nice time visiting the lemur's.
We went to Dobbies this morning, lovely smell from real Xmas trees, the cones in the netting bag are a bit too strong. They have Cotton traders in the store but didn't buy anything, the prices were too much.
Sat a while in the craft room and thought about a card I wanted to make and typically I have laid the stamp somewhere to remember, yes it's lost 🙄
Hope you all have had a nice day and enjoyed some sunshine again today. Many hugs to you all, Maria xx

  3. Hello all, it’s a bright day, but still very cold.

Karen sending our fondest thoughts to you and the family today.

Sandra great card, you’re so good at using all these techniques for us to try. I did try the foil technique but ended up with a mess.
Started my card for this week, hope I don’t spoil it.
Have a good evening everyone. Lilian
