Good Thursday Morning Ladies,
Hasn't this week flown by? It literally feels like I was welcoming in the new week yesterday!! Paul has been asking me to book a hotel for this weekend all week abs I thought I still had plenty of time!! I ended up panic hotel booking last night! Our Annual passes for The Black Country Living Museum run out next weekend, so we wanted to get one last weekend in. It will be nice to get away for a couple of days.
Today I am sharing the other Distress ink card that I made on Monday, this one was made using Distress Oxide ink, I blended the inks around my card front and allowed to dry, I then stamped the French Script background, I think I used a grey ink for this one because the Oxides may have absorbed some of the colour as they oxidised, they were dry and I decided not to spritz so the script is more visible. I waited for the piece to fully dry before stamping the floral sprig in Versamark ink and adding clear embossing powder. I really like the effect that the clear embossing gives, it really enhances the colour. Now I really wanted the background to be the main focus of the card so I used a small sentiment and finished with a few sparkly gems.
Here are the two cards together so that you can compare x
I hope that you all have a good day,
Love & Hugs to all of you,
Sandra xxx

ReplyDeleteThese two cards are lovely I must have a go at clear embossing on backgrounds
ReplyDeleteOH goes to the bowls club on a Thursday morning to do some gardening and I am joining him today Sadly, the rinks are so infested with worms (so’s our back garden) they need to be eradicated Shame, but needs must Usually we “swish” them down but it’s got out of hand
Take care everyone xx
Hi Sandra and all looking in today. Lovely card that cheers you up with the bright colours. It’s good to see the difference between the distress oxides and oxides. The oxides give a cleaner(!) colour. Embossing the clear stamps brings out the colour doesn’t it. On my “ must try” list.
ReplyDeleteI have boring bits to do first then hope to craft later on 🤞🏼 I hope you all have a good day. Take care. Love Sue xx
Hello everyone, dry but dull again, was hoping for an another sunny day.
ReplyDeleteSandra your card are really good, as you say do help to cheer one up must try that clear embossing, need something for my card and I think that might be just right.
Does anyone have trouble with plums, I bought a punnet two weeks ago but they were still hard as bullets, so now I’ve stewed them to have with ice cream.
Sending hugs to all. Lilian
Hello Sandra and everyone,
ReplyDeleteLovely bright backgrounds for your cards today, they work really well with the large sentiments.
Had a busy day today, went shopping with John, he normally goes on his own, I managed to almost double the bill. !!! He might go on his own next time, although I did add in a few items for Christmas.
Karen you reminded me of my dad, he used to play bowls, when he retired he became the green keeper, he would go to the bowling club (it was only five minutes away) and dry off the early morning dew. No one was allowed to put a foot on the green until it was dry.
Hope everyone has had a good day.
Good night, sleep well, love Brenda xxx
