Good Saturday Morning Ladies,
Thank goodness its the weekend, what have you all got planned?? We have to organise the Advent calendars today, so we will need to shopping. We also need to fit in a Tip run as we have accumulated a lot of boxes, mostly from Amazon who seem to use boxes way larger than necessary, my Big Shot was like a 'pass the parcel', it was in a box, in a box, in a box, all of which were super sturdy. We really need to sit and get some Christmas presents ordered too 🙄 Have you all started yours, I bet some of you are finished !!
Today's card was a bit of an experiment, after seeing a card on Pinterest.
I stamped the background with a wood pattern stamp, it doesn't look like it but its actually stamped in Cheery Cobbler on Cherry Cobbler card, although it looks brown. After making sure the background was dry I stamped the Pine Branch in sticky ink and added white embossing powder and heat set, I did the same with the Pine Cone, the fun /interesting part comes next, the idea is that it looks like a snowy branch, so I took some different shades of green Alcohol pens and added flicks or fine lines of colour over the white embossing, leaving the very tips white. For the pine cone I added a light shade of brown over the white, leaving the edges white, I then added darker brown to the centre of the stamp and stamped it gently, it kind of gives the 3D look, what do you think??
To finish I added the sentiment and mounted onto a white card base.
I hope that you all have a good Saturday,
Love and hugs to all,
Sandra xxx
Hi everyone.
ReplyDeleteI'm not very good at embelish my work but trying on some cards. Have loads of ribbon but hardly using them.
Your card is pretty and I zoomed in so I could see the branshes and the cone. Loved the little cone ornament on the card yesterday. It got late to my sister in law and her hubby left so missed out for seeing you yesterday. We were told to buy the kids some vouchers for Christmas so that's sorted. We have been invited to SIL youngest daughter for Christmas and the others are going to be there too so we be 13/14 with the dog.
Nice to see you are back Sonia and the crafting mojo too. Your card are so lovely so it's a treat.
Oopsie the publish button was suddenly there. Anyway, we had a nice time at MK museum this morning and saw a bit of the Victorian Christmas time and had a very nice hot chocolate and coffee cake.
DeleteHope you all have had a very nice day and got things done that you wanted to do. Sending many hugs to you all, take care. Maria xx
I thought I’d visited earlier!
ReplyDeleteYou can’t beat a butterfly to cover a smudge etc!
Your card is lovely and perfect for batch making I expect
Just got in from a fun afternoon at the bowls club in memory of one of our members who passed away earlier this year This evening we’re out at a Salsa event So a quick nap before we get ready for that
Take care everyone xx
High, not done much today, had my cleaner, as she can’t make Monday ( her usual day ) so have to stay out of her way. Lovely when she has finished, the house looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteAnother very Christmasy card again today, so bright and cheerful, lovely. A good saying again today, many times a butterfly comes in useful.
Kentucky fried chicken for dinner tonight as my back is bad again.
Have a good evening, Lilian
