Good Morning Ladies,
How are you all my lovelies? I am sending hugs to those of you feeling under the weather. I had an afternoon of crafting yesterday, the morning was mostly taken up by chatting to the 'Boiler Man ', he is quite the character, we covered many topics, he had us in stitches, he solved a riddle that we have been frustrated with, the water that comes out of our hot taps is literally scalding, so we turned the temperature down on the boiler but that had no effect, it turns out its something in the tank in the airing cupboard that controls water temperature, so he took Paul up to show him how to alter it, he also put the temperature switch back to were it should be. Then while he was servicing boiler a light started flashing on the Aga, ( he is the Aga man too), he found the problem and its the control board that tells Aga when to switch to heating up, as ours is timed to do its heating during the Economy 7 period, we asked if we should turn it off until he had the part to fix it, we asked if it would cause more problems if we left it on, he said it wouldn't harm the Aga but it would cost us double to heat it, (as our Economy 7 hours are 1/2 cost of daytime rate), that is all Paul needed to know and je promptly switched it off 🤣😂!!
Today's card is a simple stamped card, perfect for posting as its totally flat. I used a stamp set that I bought recently on a Fb selling page, its a SU stamp set called Ornamental Pine, I say it was simple, I did cut a mask for the pine cone, I then inked and stamped the branch off onto scrap card so i could work out where to put the pinecone, I placed my mask on and then stamped the pine branch, I removed the mask and stamped the Pine cone and then finished off by stamping the bauble and the sentiment. A lovely colour combination, perfect Christmas colours!
I hope that you all have a great day,
Love & big hugs,
Sandra xxx
Hello Sandra and everyone,
ReplyDeleteGreat card today, love the script used for the sentiment. I haven’t got around to making any cards yet, must get a move on soon. I did buy some ready made cards from the Salvation Army, not everyone appreciates a handmade card so they usually get a charity card.
Sounds like you had fun with the boiler man, you just never know when you have to get tradesmen in, it’s lovely when they are friendly and you can interact with them.
We went shopping (food) this morning, after lunch my sister rang and asked could I buy her some printer inks, (she has spent her budget this month) so I went online and ordered some for her, I also asked if she had a wish list for Christmas, so have also sorted that out. Isn’t it great we can do all this from our armchairs !!
Time to put the oven on, made dinner before we ate lunch, and I just need to cook the vegetables.
Hope you have all had a good day, Take care, love Brenda xxx
