Your Next Challenge

Good Friday Morning Ladies,

It's Friday once again, this week has absolutely whizzed by, maybe because I have spent most of it on the phone, trying to finalise everything with Mum's Estate.  Paul has been extremely busy too so we have hardly seen him!  So it will be nice to relax at the weekend. I would ask if any of you had plans but as we are all locked down there is little point.  I think that we are all becoming experts at making the most of it now though.  It will be a shock when we can leave the house.  My only real regret is that the Lockdown is holding up us being able to sort out Mum's grave, I was torn between just getting my sisters to do it as they are more local or waiting until it is possible for us to travel.  My brother was telling me not to take the risk when it comes to travelling, there is a little Estuary not far from Mum's called Mersea (famous for its oysters) the police were in the local car parks there scanning peoples car registration and anyone that didn't live on the Island was issued a hefty fine, which I totally agree with, if they were as strict as that with everything else we might not be in the position we are, I noticed last night that anyone caught at a House Party of any kind is going to risk an £800 fine too.

Your Next challenge

Ladies, I would love you to create some cards for those pesky men folk!  Not something that we all find easy but I do believe that there are more choices out there today than we have had available in the past.  Thankfully stamp and die companies have come to realise that Men are interested in more things than Beer and Football.  You have all absolutely aced this Challenge a couple of times before so I am really excited to see what you create this time.

I hope that you all have a lovely Friday and weekend, please stay safe,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra                                                                                                                                                        xxxxxx

  1. Morning Ladies

Three great cards Sandra & a brilliant challenge. I must admit that I’ve not started this weeks yet, maybe tomorrow as the forecast is for more rain!

  2. Morning Everyone
A good Challenge for next week SANDRA and I love your samples.

At last I have opened the blinds to find no rain!!! I think the whole Country is ready for some dry weather.

Well yes it's come around again the day where I 'swear' and the washer is churning away so I must get a wriggle on.It's also Mr Tesco delivery day too so I am hoping there aren't too many subs or 'not available' up to now they have been excellent.

The CAFE is OPEN ready and waiting for you all.
HUGS are on their way to you all.PLEASE TAKE CARE AND STAY SAFE.xxxx

  3. Your cards are lovely SANDRA and funnily enough I was contemplating using the Indigoblu products but I have another idea that needs tweaking and I might go for that instead
It definitely isn’t worth the risk travelling anywhere at the moment purely for health reasons I can’t wait for it all to be over and we can have one helluva party
Off to work in a moment We are extremely busy especially as a couple of members of my team are helping with the vaccination program but I am loving the job
I need to finish my cc’s later and send them to you SANDRA and that’s about it
    Take care all xxx

  4. Morning ladies,

For the past couple of days I have woken to glorious sunshine and today is the same. It really brightens my spirit to watch the sun gradually coming out.
Weather reports keep threatening snow for our region but I've yet to see one snowflake. My sister reported yesterday of waking up to snow in the West Midlands. How is the weather in your regions?

Lovely cards Sandra, the colours you've used are so rich and vibrant with the coolness of the pink flowers.

So far I have manged to get 15 Christmas cards finished, I'm trying to do at least one per day using older cardstock, backing papers or plain white embossed card with a topper, I found two Ziploc bags full of Kanban sentiments & toppers which work perfectly with a new 'jumped into my trolley' Christmas pad of deeper colours.

My plans for the weekend include a big tidy up of our loft. I'm not allowed to go up on my own so have to wait for Jamie to arrive. Grandson Joseph very kindly came out with Mum to stow away all the Christmas boxes needing to go back up. I do keep some craft items near to the ladder so I can just grab a box when it's needed and I noticed he had just piled all the boxes in front of the opening so they need to go further into the loft
space. Bless him, he's so helpful.

Whatever your plans for your weekend I hope you enjoy it.

    Love 7 hugs
    Cheryl xxx

    1. I to have done a few Christmas cards Cheryl. I can’t get into our loft at all. Our roof is very low so your can’t get a pull down ladder in it. You have to put a ladder up and then crawl around the loft. Or swing up off of the bannister. I don’t need to put anything up there, but would like to see what’s actually up there.

  5. Hi Sandra @ Ladies
    Lovely cards today.
Well I woke up to thick frost this morning. But at least it’s not rain. The flooding in places have been awful. I’m not going to see Doreen today. I have a cold that’s hopefully on its way out. I might have caught it when I sat outside the home talking to Doreen through the glass. I’ll ring her instead today. Apart from that not much is on the cards. Such an exciting life we’re all living at the moment.
Take care and stay safe everyone.

  8. Hello, horrible weather again today, heavy rain and huge hail showers.

Love your man cards Sandra, good challenge, shall have to get thinking.

We have our appointment for the vaccinations next Thursday, so that will be a relief.
