Good Sunday Morning Ladies,
I hope that you are all warm and dry on this damp and chilly day, we had to do an 'Essentials ' food shop yesterday, I was gobsmacked at how many people were out, large family groups too, they weren't challenged at all either in Sainsbury's or Aldi, so they aren't being as strict as they were last Lockdown. It rained pretty much the whole time we were out, the standing water on the roads around here is terrible and the river has flooded that bad that there is no visible land mass as far as the eye can see in either direction, its flooding across acres and acres of fields, we have never seen it this bad, it will be worse today as it rained pretty much the whole day yesterday, we will go for a walk and take some photographs nyter on, weather permitting. No sign of the snow that we were forecast yet, have any of you had any?
You have all gone to great lengths to create some amazing 'Man ' cards for this weeks challenge, I think that it's quite clear than none of us can say that we struggle to create cards for men, you all created incredible examples, just look.................
Sonia
Sonia has designed an amazing card for her husband Mark, it couldn't be more perfect with Mark being in a band, I love how you have used the Honeydoo Splat stamps.
I made it for Mark’s birthday. I used the ‘paint splodges’ stamp from Honey Doo on the slimline base. The main image is ‘Vocalist’ by AALL & Create. I added two stamped hearts and the sentiment strips which are from Tracey Hey.
Such an amazing card, thank you so much Sonia for taking part XXX
Janet
Cheryl
Now I think that this is first for our Challenge, 2 of you using the same papers!! What are the chances?! Cheryl has been tempted to join the 'STAMPERIA ' appreciation group that both our Janet and Lilian belong too !! 🤣😂
I totally see why you live them though, such incredible papers with so many layers of detail. I love the design you have created Cheryl.
The papers Cheryl has used is called 'Sir Vagabonds' by Stamperia.
Thank you so much Cheryl for taking part in this weeks challenge XXX
Maria
Three amazing Challenge cards from Maria, oh Maria I love your first card, it's hilarious!
Your second card is completely different, featuring a lovely scene.
I really love the darling baby elephant following behind his Daddy, such a perfect card for a Son or daughter to give their Dad.
Maria's Description:
Maria you have created some amazing designs for this weeks Challenge, thank you so much for the inspiration XXX
Michele
Michele has created a brilliant 'Man' card for this weeks Challenge, this must be a card for a 'distinguished gentleman ' as it features wine and not beer!! 😉
Michele's Description:
The topper was one I’ve had in my stash for ages, embossed background is the 4 symbols of a pack of cards.
What a great embossing folder to have in your stash, another brilliant 'Man' card, thank you so much Michele for taking part. XXX
Karen
Two amazing cards from Karen for our Man card Challenge this week, the designs are completely different and highlight Karen's ability to turn her hand to so many different techniques.
Morning Ladies
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic selection of challenge cards today. All amazing & so different.
After shopping yesterday morning we had a relaxing day. Hubby watched TV & cleaned the inside of his car. I spent some time watching craft videos on YouTube then I decided to treat myself to some craft goodies. I’ll let Sandra share the details next Saturday.
Housework this morning then we’re hoping to have a Skype session with my in laws but Father in law has another chest infection so it might not happen.
Michele
Morning Everyone
ReplyDeletefrom a VERY DEEP WHITE FROSTY start to the day here.
What a wonderful array of craftiness this morning and all inspirational.
I'm hoping to make a start on making a double sided bag to get used to using my sewing machine. Not having used material and a sewing machine for years it can either be a small success or a total failure. We'll see what happens.4
The CAFE is OPEN and lunch menu for this Sunday is Roast Chicken and Rice Pudding for afters. place you orders.
HUGS are on their way to you all.PLEASE TAKE CARE AND KEEP WRAPPED UP AND WARM on these cold days.xxxx
Morning ladies,
ReplyDeleteSunday's challenge is always a pleasure to see the wonderful creations we have imagined then put into practice. And how amazing is our first 2 of's using the same Vagabond in different ways?
I was crossing my fingers that with reported delays in postage and delivery that my selection of Stamperia would arrive on time.
CraftStash came the day after ordering then In2craft the next day and then the books from Lilian's suggestion My Creative Spirit the day after that. Really pleased as our local Sorting Office is way behind with the parcel deliveries.
Today I will mainly be sorting out my little craft trolley and the set of draws in my craft station. I have to find somewhere now for Sir & Lady Vagabond to reside in so maybe I can combine the contents of 2 of the draws, we'll see later.
I hope your sister is improving Brenda, it must be a worry for both of you.
Yes Maria, I would love to make you a wreath.
Enjoy your Sunday.
Love 7 hugs
Cheryl xxx
I always look forward to Sunday mornings and seeing everyone’s cards Men’s cards are difficult but you’ve “smashed it” ladies and out of all of them only SANDRA and I have featured sports
ReplyDeleteIt just rained and rained yesterday It attempted to snow but only a few flakes every now and again It gave OH the chance to check that the new shed was actually watertight!
It is quite sunny today So I expect we’ll go for a walk at some point I might be able to start this week’s cc too
Take care all xx
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteBeautiful selection of cards on display today, and so inspiring
No snow here yesterday, just more rain! But we’ve woken to a frosty start and quite bright. Fingers crossed it stays dry.
More crafting today and might treat myself to some more craft goodies (still got some Christmas money left)
Have a lovely day everyone whatever you’re doing. Sending hugs to you all xxx
Oh, I don’t know why the ?? have replaced my little emojis. Should’ve been 😊 xx
DeleteHi Sandra and ladies
ReplyDeleteWow some lovely card designs on display today. Would you believe Maria that I had those silhouette elephant designs as well. I’ll look later to see if the card I have it on is still in my old box of cards. I’m not to sure why I’m keeping them.
It was pouring with rain then we had quite thick snow falling, although it was nor laying thank goodness. After about 2 hrs the snow stopped but started raining again. It’s frosty and bright here so I’ve put some washing on. The washing machine is telling me it’s finished now.
Take care and stay safe everyone.
Morning ladies from a cold but nice MK today.
ReplyDeleteFabulous cards for men, well done everyone. Beautiful papers, great stamps and some fab embossing folders used.
I do love seeing all the cc's on Sunday.
Had a nice walk this morning, only a few flakes of snow yesterday but it will be rain again here later.
Michele- hopefully you get to do the skype today and everyone is doing alright.
Janet- good luck if you get to do some sewing today.
Sue- if you see mamma and Pop anything ,give them a big hug from me. Hope you are ok.
Sonia- How is Barney ? Great card for your hubby. Was listening to his band earlier, very good.
Sandra- hope you not living so you be flooded in any way. The poor people who have been over this winter and more rain to come, I'm glad we are all alright in the cafe'. See you later for some chicken dinner and pud 😉
Have a nice day everyone. Warm hugs today to you all xxx
Hi Sandra and all in the Cafe today. What fabulous cards for the men in our lives. And for the first time in over 5 years two of you using the same paper range. And what gorgeous papers they are too. My card couldn’t be much easier to make but it is perfect for its recipient as he hates any type of “fuss or fiddly bits” as he puts it.
DeleteMaria I have to say that your sexy and I know it troll card had me laughing so much. It is brilliant 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I will pass on hugs to Mamma Margaret and Pop when I see them tomorrow. Please go back to your GP and push forward stronger pain/different meds. You should not have to suffer as you are xx
Sandra it’s sad to hear that the flooded fields are spreading. When us this rain going to stop? Are you going to make a cake for the girls? Please share a photo if you do my lovely xx
Gem has been telling us that the public are reacting very differently during this lockdown. Now the numbers have turned so it is the majority that are ignoring the rules and getting far more verbally and physically threatening if questioned while the minority couldn’t be nicer and are doing as they should. Such a worry for us all isn’t it.
I hope you all manage to get a bit of crafting time today. Sending love and hugs to you all with extras for Lynda, Mum and all in need. Take care xx
Thanks Maria, Barney is ok - getting big now but still a cutie 🐶
DeleteGlad you liked Marks band - they’re hoping to be able to get back out gigging this year, if restrictions are lifted - fingers crossed xx
Hello Sandra and ladies,
ReplyDeleteWOW ladies your cards are brilliant, all so inspiring. I did start my CC but life got in the way!
Hope you have all had a lovely weekend, I seem to have spent most of the time on the phone, John joked to daughter when she FaceTimed us that he didn’t know the person next to him as he hadn’t seen her all day!
Stay safe and warm, love Brenda xxx
Hope your sister is alright Brenda, hugs xx
DeleteLate again, I did write this earlier this morning, but have forgotten to send.
ReplyDeleteLovely cards today, especially as they were the ones we find more difficult.
I won’t ramble on, just say good night. Lilian
