A Monochrome Vintage Card

Good Morning Ladies,

I hope you are all safe and have suffered no damage in these awful storms, blimey it didn't let up here all day yesterday,  heavy rain accompanied the very strong winds.

I was struggling for inspiration yesterday after a rough night (my fault for overdoing the reorganising on Tuesday,  Paul did day he would help after he finished work but I wanted to get it done)! I know patience is a virtue!!

Anyway to cut a long story short I had the Very Versaille stamp set on my desk from the day before so that is what I decided to use, I looked for inspiration online and a card very similar to this was on the 4 page of searching,  I loved the style of it so I set out to make it using Very Vanilla and Black card. The border die is from 'Lacy Borders' die set. I finished with a Butterfly and a lace trim bow.  I will add the original designer literally cannot get off the sofa to check my laptop ( as I need Paul's help to get up).

Please stay safe ny lovely friends,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra                                                                                xxxxxx

  1. Morning Everyone
    A beautiful monochrome card SANDRA.

When are these horrendous winds and torrential rain goind to stop. We too had storm conditions again yesterday which I'm sure isn't doing the roof any good.
At last we have a builder coming this morning to take a look and give a quote -so we'll see what he says.

The CAFE is of course waiting for you all to pop in for a cuppa and a chat.
HUGS are on their way to you all with manyextras for Dear Friends in need.
PLEASE TAKE CARE AND STAY SAFE.xxxx

  2. Beautiful SANDRA Absolutely beautiful I love the monochrome- maybe that could be a challenge… The weather where you’re all living sounds horrendous To too it all I have woken up to blue skies, sunshine and barely a breeze!
I’m out for a meal with my works team this evening I’m looking forward to it and it means I won’t be cooking Yay!
    Take care everyone xxx

  3. Hi everyone in the cafe' today.
Wonderful card Sandra, I do love the monochrome style.
I have cheated a bit and printed off some things from on-line so hoping to put something together this afternoon.
Well the storm was pretty good around here too and I thought about you Janet and your roof and hoping you get it sorted soon as possible. Sandra, you have so many older trees around were you live so not easy if they fall down onto the road and it be a roadblock because of it. Take care.
I wish you feel a bit better and remember not to overdo things. They keep telling me to pace myself, ye, still can't do that. Karen ,have a lovely evening going out for a meal. Just love it when not have to think about cooking, especially now when trying to drop some sizes before next holiday. I fell in July last year and bruised my foot and big toe so much so I was sure the nail was going to come off but not until his week it has decided to break off but only half way so have sent a photo to the doct. to see if they do something. Can you get false nails for your big toe ?

Have a good day all and take care if going out, the wind is still very strong and more rain on it's way. Many hugs to you all, Maria xxx

    1. Your toe nail should grow back Maria, unless you have damaged the nail bed itself. It just takes a long time. I doubt GP will do anything, they may suggest you see a chiropodist, I am pretty sure you can get your toe nails done at these nail salons as a last resort. xxx

  4. Hi everyone
Absolutely love your monochrome card today, it’s beautiful 😊
Very windy here overnight, but fortunately had died down a bit this morning for the journey to work. We’ve had blue skies and sunshine on and off today - the calm before storm Eunice comes through tomorrow. I’m on a late shift tomorrow, so I’m hoping it’s cleared before I have to go in.
Janet, I hope your roof is holding out xx
Enjoy the rest of the day everyone. Stay safe. Sending hugs to you all xxx

  5. Hi everybody, calm before the storm today, managed to get two loads of washing dried.

Great card Sandra, I don’t normally like black cards ,but yours today has really changed my mind. I still haven’t started this weeks yet, feeling shattered after my visitors.

Hope you are all prepared for the storm coming in tonight, it’s going to be bad here, still just have to hope for the best.

Have a good evening all, Lilian
