Your Next Challenge

Good Friday Morning Ladies,

Today's blog will be really brief as I physically don't have the energy to type very much, I had my Covid vaccination on Wednesday, I felt ok afterwards, my arm hurt but that was expected, I felt a little tired in the evening, so I had an early night, however I was soon up with acute stomach pains and nausea, I ended up spending a good part of the night sat on the loo, I wasn't expecting that. I tossed and turned most of night with tummy ache and achy joints, I must have nodded off at around 4.30am, Pauls alarm went off what seemed like a few mins later but was actually an hour and a half, I struggled through making breakfast and managed a few bites but nausea prevented me from finishing, I had no choice but to go back to bed, I feel so incredibly drained and exhausted, by about 9.30am I physically could not keep my eyes open, the morning disappeared in a blink of an eye and before I realised Paul was leaving for work, by this time I was unable to get out of bed, I said goodbye to Paul and promptly fell back a sleep.  I had a nice chat with Sue late afternoon, she told me that Chris had had the exact same symptoms, which made me feel a little better, I am not sure whether it reacts with medication or just your genetic but I am not looking forward to the next one!  I am grateful that I had it, don't get me wrong, but my goodness I won't forget that day in a hurry.  Fingers crossed today will be better.

Your Next Challenge

I am not sure if you would have guessed from the cards above but for this weeks Challenge I would like you to 'Create Your Own Backgrounds'
They can be made from whatever medium you choose, you can emboss your background with a folder, you can stamp your background, you could do the 'Caught in Crystal' technique or Baby wipe technique or simple create a pattern with decorative papers.

As always the only rule is that you have fun creating your challenge project.

I hope that you all have a lovely weekend,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra

  1. Morning Ladies

Great challenge for us next week & some lovely cards as inspiration.
Sandra- I hope you manage mms to get some sleep last night. A few colleagues took 2 paracetamol & an antihistamine before their vaccine to minimise any reaction so it might be worth checking if that would help you.

  5. Hello Sandra and ladies,

I hope after the horrendous day you had yesterday you are feeling better today. A suggestion before you have your next vaccine, ring your GP and let them know how you reacted to the first one, you could also explain that they did not have any wheelchair access, which I think is disgusting and possibly why you were not given the necessary paperwork, you should’ve also been issued with a card which you should carry around with you to say that you’ve had your first vaccine, Mine is like a little business card and fits neatly in my purse. When we had our vaccine in a local church hall, The entrance was on street level but the exit door they were using had steps, where there was wheelchair ramp in place if needed. I feel so sorry for you because this has been quite traumatic experience and it shouldn’t have been. Sending you gentle care and hugs XX (didn’t mean that to sound like a rant)

Lovely inspirational cards for next weeks challenge, I’m looking forward to seeing everybody’s take on this.

Have a good day everyone, take care and stay safe, love Brenda XXX

  6. Hi Sandra & ladies
I hope your feeling better today Sandra. I hope you do have a restful day today. But I’m not holding my breath.
    .great inspirational cards today.
I’ve been out for a walk this morning. But it’s very very cold out. Even managed to put out some washing out as well. I’ll be seeing Doreen today after lunch.
Would you believe that Ambers Dad took her & Livvy to get another puppy yesterday. I mean how barmy is that. That’ll be six dogs in the house. My mind boggles. Plus she’s back to college sometime on Sat & Sun. the college are doing staggered returns so she’ll be given a time and day to return. So won’t be back until Easter. 8 dogs altogether when we’re all allowed to socialise again and the older 2 girls come over.
    Take care and stay safe.

  7. Hi All, dry but very cold, just been out to do my laps around the property.

So glad to hear you are feeling better today, agree with Brenda’s sentiment re. the non wheel chair access.

Love this weeks challenge, and the cards to inspire us. Have not done this weeks yet , not really up to doing much craft. Will try and get one done tomorrow.

Have a good day all, hugs Lilian

  8. Hi Sandra and al in the cafe today. Beautiful backgrounds making wonderful cards. I love them all. So glad you are feeling a bit better today. If you carry on with the same symptoms as Chris you will still be very tired today then picking up more each day. It was so good to talk yesterday my lovely.
I hope I get my crafting mojo back soon.
I hope everyone is coping as well as possible. Sending love and hugs to you all with extras for Lynda, Mum and all in need. Take care xx

  9. Hi everyone.
Some lovely cards to inspire us for next weeks challenge.
I still got this weeks to finish off so hoping to do that tomorrow. Today it is our anniversary but as covid here we didn't do to much else then our daily walk then I had a chat with my parents and then facetime with step-son so the day went quickly. We made ourself a little special meal and have just finished our pudding but should never had it with coffee, sore throat right away.
I hope you all had a good day as possible and will have a good night. Hugs xxx

Hope you taken care today and feeling a lot better.
