Maria
Oh Maria you have had a very busy week at your craft desk, You have also made a start on your Christmas cards!! You must be one of the first, I love that glitter striped background and that stag looks so majestic.
You have used some beautiful Spring colours blended through a mask for your second card, the using the same colours for your sentiment piece, such a lovely Spring card Maria.
I love that stamp with the butterflies fluttering around the flowers, a bit like those white butterflies around my cabbages!!! I really like that embossing folder too, such a pretty design.
Maria's Description:
Now then to the 3 background
challange I got together in
the end, I had fun making them and I
hope you like them.
1/ Dry embossed background coloured
with Distress inks
I then used a Stencil
to make the flowers and there
are some butterflies
too in black.
2/ Here I used Distress again
through another Stencil in
Peacock
feathers, Mustard seed and Cracked pistachio.
3/ On this one, yes you right,
another Stencil :) here I
used Glitter paste and
I thought Christmas. Picture is
recycled and some bits
from my stash finished it off.

Michele
Michele has designed 4 amazing cards for our Challenge this week, all completely different backgrounds too. The first card uses the new Lattice Background die that I shared yesterday, it looks so effective just white on white. The second two cards use the 'Eclipse Technique', that paper is so pretty. Michele's third cars is the cutest Easter card. I love those little bunnies peeking through the little windows!
Michele's Description:
"4 challenge cards from me. First two are just patterned card using the Eclipse technique. Third card is using the plaid die which was quite difficult to get to cut through anything but very thin card, the thanks sentiment has been diecut 3 times & stacked tog. Last card is using the watercolour background I created & an Easter bunny die I got from eBay years ago and haven’t used. I finally used the slimline dies I ordered a while ago on this card too."
Thank you so much Michele for 4 amazing challenge cards, your designs are just fantastic XXX
Sonia
Oh WOW Sonia I love the colour theme of both of your cards, that die cut background is stunning, putting it over that colour combo just lifts it to another level, WOW !!
Your second card has is more subtle with the Watercolour Wash background, those die cuts work perfectly for the base for your Butterfly and sentiment'!
Sonia's Desciption:
On both cards I’ve used Distress Oxides to create my
watercolour backgrounds. The background die is from Crafters Companion. I
stamped one of the Woodware text stamps on the second card and framed it with
the Sizzix frame. The butterflies are from Tim Holtz.

A stunning array of cards today ladies. It’s a good job we don’t have to choose a favourite isn’t it.
It’s still windy & cold today. So I’ll be doing something but I’m not to sure what yet. I’ve started one of Maria’s projects from last month. My embossing dots never seem to match up. Although it’s stuck down it still somehow seems to move,
