Good Morning Ladies,
We had another glorious day yesterday, it was warmer too, thankfully, it felt lovely being outside. While we were in Asda food shopping on Sunday we noticed that a lot of their house plants were reduced to clear, they had Spider Plants reduced to £1 and little baskets with ferns, parlour palms etc reduced from £10 down to £4, so yesterday I spent an hour or so splitting the Spider plants, I got 3 plants out of each £1 pot, the little basket made 5 pots of different plants, so I was quite pleased with our little bargain purchase.
Today's card, well portrait really, was my Mother's Day card from our Sophie, the title of the piece is "Defenders Of The Manor", the characters are based on a film called Pride & Prejudice Zombies! I love my curly perm!! I'm not sure how much Matt loved playing a lady! The best part for me is that the piece also features Milo & Bella. With most of the family hating having their photo taken this is probably the nearest we will get to a family portrait. It's so lovely having an artist in the family. Sophie I absolutely love the portrait, thank you so much for creating it for me xxxx
I hope that you all have a good day,
Love and hugs to all
Morning Ladies
ReplyDeleteSandra-what a stunning gift for Mother’s Day from Sophie, she’s very talented.
The plants were definitely a bargain-it’s great when that happens, isn’t it?
Busy day again yesterday at work. Nice weather so once I got home we went out for a walk which is nice but it means we don’t start cooking until late. Shouldn’t complain as it’s good to be able to get out in the fresh air.
Michele
OMG Your portrait is stunning It really does look like a photograph and you really suit a curly perm!
ReplyDeleteWork is busy but I am still enjoying it I would not be saying that this time last year!
I did a bit of playing with my new Clarity stamps yesterday Not doing stamping for very long I am surprised at how “chunky” they are and take a bit of getting used to
I hope to finish another cc later and start cutting fabric for cushions I’d like to try doing envelope covers We’ll see ...
Take care all xx
Morning ladies,
ReplyDeleteWow, wow and wow again Sophie, stunning Mother's Day card!
Yesterday's early morning rain turned into the most glorious sunshine for the rest of the day, which brought our many of the flowers on Pete's Stellata.
Storage box shopping early this morning whilst the school run is on. I need 4 x 100 litre ones. Let's hope the shop I have in mind has some left.
Lovel 7 hugs
Cheryl xxx
Hi Sandra & ladies
ReplyDeleteWow Sandra what a stunning picture Sophie has done for you for Mother’s Day. You really do suit a curly perm. They used to be all the rage at one time.
Not such a sunny day today although yesterday was beautiful and not to cold.
I’ve a very busy day today, no not really. I’ll have a go at my puzzle and I have 2 pieces of parchment that I’m working on.
Take care and stay safe everyone.
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteLove the card/portrait 😊 it’s fabulous and another one to treasure.
Great bargain getting those plants.
Just back from having my second covid injection. That’s a relief having had them both now, was beginning to think we may not get a second dose.
Hoping to do some more crafting today, wasn’t really happy with what I did yesterday, but did manage one card at least for this weeks challenge. I think we’re our own worst critics sometimes!
Have a good day everyone. Sending hugs to you all xxx
Hello Sandra and ladies,
ReplyDeleteI love the card Sophie made for you, it’s a real keepsake, you certainly have two very gifted daughters. Thank you so much for sharing their amazing cards with us.
Karen good luck with the sewing, hope one day you will share the results with us.
Cheryl good luck with the shopping I hope the store has what you want and enough for your needs
Michele Hope your working day has going well and you manage to have a relaxing evening.
Just doing a bit of housework this morning and hopefully I will do a little bit of baking later. My sister has requested a simnel cake so that won’t be too difficult. But I’m sure the posting will be expensive, So not planning to make a large one.
Whatever you’re doing enjoy your day.
Love and hugs Brenda XXX
Hello All, dry today, towels on the line and bedding ready to go in the washer.
ReplyDeleteSandra great bargains re: your plants, I used to have a spider plant which I grew in water, until it turned up its toes.
Love the family portrait, also your new hair style.
Brenda hope the baking goes well, it’s years since I had a slice of simnel cake, used to have a friend when I worked in Oxford who made one every Easter.
Karen hope the sewing goes well, what are you using for closures, I usually use buttons, but last time I used the plastic stud fasteners.
Just finished my shopping list for Sainsbury’s, so I’d better go and find something useful to do. Might go out in the garden later to sew my sweet peas.
Have a lovely day, Lilian
Hello Sandra and everyone.

Karen- looking forward to see your ottomans when finished.
Brenda- hope the baking goes fine and your sister will be enjoying a Simnel cake. I do have seen them in the shops but never tasted it myself.
Sonia- hope you ok after the vaccine. How is little Barney doing ?
The weather here is alright but not much sunshine and around +6c so it was a brisk walk this morning. Not sure if anything much else be done today for feeling very tired.
Have a nice day everyone and warm hugs to all xx
Thanks Maria, so far so good.
