Good Morning Ladies,
How are you all? Have you been enjoying the sunshine 🌞, we had another sunny day yesterday, it sounded like everyone in the village couldn't wait any longer to get their lawnmowers out, one started and then one by one a chorus of mower engines began. I think that they might have seen the weather forecast on Countryfile on Sunday evening, it's not looking great for the next week or so, today wasn't forecast to be as lovely as it turned out to be, believe me they all made the most of it, we couldn't because Paul left for work at 6am and didn't get back until late, so our lawn is looking like our Hair, very long and out of control!! 🤣😂
Now on today's card, I bought a few Julie Hickey stamps after seeing Hazel Eaton demonstrate them on Hochanda, the one I used today was smaller than I thought, so it has sat in my 'new' box waiting to be used. I got it out today determined that I was going to use it, so this is what I came up with.
The stamp is 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches, so not huge, what I decided to use the floral element of the stamp and repeat stamp it into each corner, the size I cut my card to make it so that the images fit around it perfectly was 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch. I placed the stamp in my platform and used low tack tape to cover the part of the frame I didn't want inked, once I inked the floral corner I removed the tape and stampex the image, I then rotated the card and repeated the process 3 more times. I decided to colour the flowers with my Zig Clean Colour Real Brush markers, the colours I used turned out to be very bright, butI liked how it turned out when it wS finished, those pens have such a fine brush tip it was easy to get into those tiny flowers. I searched through my stamps to find a nice big sentiment to pop in the centre. I added a few of Julie Hickey's 'Glossies' resin dots here and there to finish the card. A bit of matting and layering and and that was the card finished. A bit brighter than usual but it will make someone smile 😃 !
I hope that you all have a lovely day,
Love and hugs to all of you,
Sandra xxxxxx
Morning Ladies
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Sandra, nice bright colours which I’m sure will cheer someone up.
It was dull here all day. I had done shop to drop off at my Dad’s-doorstep delivery. Quick chat then home, as it was still fine we decided we’d go for a walk which was ok but it just means we eat quite late.
I’m covering the Vaccine clinic this morning then I Ha take meeting at 2:30 (online) which will hopefully be a short one. My plan is to finish work on time and come straight home.
Michele
It’s a very pretty card SANDRA It’s very cheerful and will make the recipient smile The joys of a stamping platform! I don’t think any of us would be able to stamp accurately in all 4 corners easily It would be a lot more fiddly trying to line card up without one
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely and sunny here Yesterday afternoon we went to a garden centre to look at garden furniture We priced one up that we really like So it’s a start! I think OH and I have different ideas of what we’d like quantity wise On the way to me having vaccination we popped into The Range and he was even eyeing up a pagoda come bar!
Crafting is definitely on the agenda this morning as OH is out at the dentist
Take care all xx
Morning Everyone

ReplyDeleteSandra love your pretty bright and beautiful card, sure to put a smile on someone’s face.
Hoping to start on this weeks card, trying not to use my oxides which I seem to pick up all the time.
Have a good day , hugs Lilian
Hi Sandra & ladies
ReplyDeletePaul’s Mum will love the card you made yesterday Sandra.
A sunny & bright card today.
It was gorgeous here yesterday, but quite dull this morning.
I could hear mowers yesterday. I managed to mow mine as well hahaha. I think the hedge will need cutting soon and both patios need a through clean.
I finished a couple of cards yesterday and managed to put a few pieces of my puzzle together.
I’m sorry to hear that your not very pleases with your ottomans Karen. Fingers crossed that they grow on you.
Take care & stay safe everyone.
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteLove this card Sandra, beautiful stamped and coloured in happy colours.
I wish you all have a nice day whatever you decide to do today.
We went to town for my vaccine and then to get the car looked over and washed. Had a walk around the area, it was alright but pretty chilly winds so nice to be back home for a nice cuppa, actually I think it will be a hot chocolate instead. Take care all and many hugs to each and one who are looking in today xxx
Hi Sandra and all in the Cafe today. A lovely bright and cheerful card that will brighten anyone’s special day. I agree with Karen about being able to use our stamp machines get the stamps correctly placed in the corners of a card makes stamping a pleasure doesn’t it. The weather is meant to be changing again at the end of the week isn’t it but who knows?
ReplyDeleteMaria, sorry you got pulled around for your X-ray and then to have to go through it all again is ridiculous isn’t it! Definitely not good use of your and the hospital staffs time. Hope the results are helpful for you. Mamma says thank you for her hugs xx
Sending love and hugs to you all with extras for Lynda, Mum and all in need. Take care xx
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteLove your colourful card today 😊
We do seem to be blessed with good weather at the moment, started grey here again today but sun is shining now, although it’s a bit breezy.
Hope everyone is having a good day. Sending hugs to you all xxx
Hello Sandra and ladies,
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card this is Sandra love the colours you choose for the flowers.
It’s lovely when you can see beyond a stamp and plan your own possibilities, this design has worked out so well, I love it.
Our day started off quite dull and grey but by mid morning we had sunshine and it has been like that most of the day, I ventured out into the garden after lunch and spent an hour or so pottering in the sun I didn’t even have a coat on it was lovely.
Dinner is almost ready so I had better get a wiggle on.
Have a lovely evening ladies, love Brenda xxx
