Wednesday Blues!

Good Wednesday Morning Ladies,

I hope that you are all well and that none of you have the 'Wednesday Blues' !  I don't either,  I was referring to the card 🤣😂🤣😘
We have an Electrical Test today,  up until now they have been in and out in half an hour, they checked the circuit breakers and smoke alarms and that was about it, this chap called me Friday to arrange an appointment, I knew Paul was working Monday and Tuesday so I made it for today so that someone is here to go upstairs with him etc, he told me that the check coukd take up to 3 hours andin that time the power will be on and off, which hasn't pleased Sophie as she has an online University class, hopefully it won't be that long or disruptive.

Today's card inspiration started by me pulling out a paper pad and some flowers dies and sitting playing with papers and die cut flowers,  The products I used are all be Anna Marie Designs.

I picked 2 papers from the Paper pad, distressed the edges and laid one piece directly on card front and tore the other one to leave rough, torn edges. I die cut a lot of flowers from papers in the collection and folded and inked the petals and layered them up, I used my glue gun to adhere some natural fibre to my card and then arranged the flowers on top, tucking foliage and some dried gypsophila (that i gently added some ink to) behind and in between the flowers. I fussy cut some birds from the papers and added 3 around the card, I inked a little frame and stamped a sentiment to place inside it.                 The finishing touches were adding the main sentiment and popping some pearls in flower centres and on card and swiping over flowers abd birds with glitter pen.
I hope you like it xxx

I hope that you all have a good day,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra

  1. Morning ladies,

A lovely ice blue card Sandra. Blue is not a colour I go to often so this one is very nice.

Jamie's had to go back to Basingstoke today, he's not sure what time he will be home or when.

I think I've caught a bit of a chill, no temperature but my throat is rather sore and raspy, good job I stocked up with my favourite Buttercup original cough syrup. It is so thick it sticks to your throat before slowly sliding done, so soothing too. And with Vicks First Defence spray up my nostrils I can breathe again this morning.

Another go at the wheels for my train, I've got some X-cut sticky backed gold foil cardstock to die cut some cogs to hopefully make them look more like a train wheel than a fabric circle. Cross fingers it will work.

    Love 7 hugs
    Cheryl xxx

I started a card yesterday and it went in the bin as a black smudge magically appeared and I wasn’t using black inks! Second attempt- so far so good I hope to finish it today
We did a bit of window shopping yesterday for garden furniture which was a little different for us
    Take care all x

  3. Hi Sandra and all in the Cafe today. I love your card, the papers are gorgeous aren’t they. And I love the pretty birds and flowers you have added. Love how you have coloured the gypsophila too, wouldn’t have thought of doing that but what a great idea. I hope the electrics test goes well and doesn’t interfere with Sophie’s uni class xx
We have our annual gas check today and it usually takes about 20 minutes but the appointment letter always states it will take between 1-2 hours! You just gave to trust they are not missing any vital checks don’t you! Have a good day my lovely xx
Later on I hope to make a simple card using some magazine freebie stamps and dies to kick start my crafting mojo which is still missing
Sending love snd hugs to you all with extras for Lynda, Mum and all in need. Take care xx

  4. Hi Sandra & ladies
A lovely blue card today Sandra. Great papers you’ve used.
Hope the test goes ok and that Sophies’s class isn’t interrupted.
It was raining when I got up this morning. It stopped and the sun came out so I went for a walk. It’s dull looking outside now and looking quite chilly.
Take care and stay safe everyone.

I felt absolutely frozen, my teeth was like castanets and I couldn't stop them :/ and woke up with a headache which is still hovering. Liked to do some stamping ready for colouring in.OH have football tonight so if I got the energy for it I hope to do something.

I sat down this afternoon to leave a comment on the blog and fell asleep, by the time I came to it was time to put the dinner on. I hate when I do that it feels as if part of my day has vanished.
