Mixed Craft Saturday featuring Michele's Magazine Review

Good Morning Ladies,

I hope that you are all well and ready to enjoy the weekend,  now I must apologise for telling you that it was time to put your clocks forward,  thats next weekend, this weekend is the Spring Equinox, I am just too eager to get to the sunshine filled days and longer evenings!  If you think back to last March we were experiencing some glorious weather, I often go back and read what we were doing this time last year, I wrote a post about sitting out in the Sun watching Paul do some gardening!  Some of the better memories of last year!

Cheryl

Cheryl has been busy 'upcylcling' some boxes ready to be filled with lovely things to add to the Sales Table to raise funds for Cardiomyopathy (Heart Charity). You must have raised a huge amount by now Cheryl with your different Sales, Lucky Dip bags and Charity Darts matches.  I am guessing thst Cardiomyopathy like a lot of Charities missed out on a lot of fundraising last year.  You should be so incredibly proud of your achievements.

Cheryl's Description:

"Recycled sweet boxes ready t be filled with home made wax melts and small jar candles for my Christmas Lucky Dip bags"

Thanks for sharing your boxes with us Cheryl XXX

Great article explaining how to make a Pop up card.

This article is using an SVG file but I’m sure we’ve all got similar Dies to recreate these gorgeous cards.

WOW-just look at these, all created from paper,

More stunning creations.

Great idea for an all occasions card.

Some great ideas for cards for men in this article.

Some lovely ideas for using colour on your cards.

Some more inspiration.

That’s all for this week so
Happy Crafting

Love Michele

Thanks Michele for sharing that amazing magazine with us, I really like that Cherry Blossom die set,  some great inspiration too. XXX

Your craft shopping

Lilian

Lilian you have bought some lovely things, I love those background dies that you have bought,  they look just like the ones I was looking for a couple of weeks ago.  Your Lavinia stamps are lovely,  especially that Bridge scene, the little branch is a really useful little stamp too. How gorgeous are those Swirl stamps?! I can't wait to see wgat you create with those.  Now I like you had to buy another Corner Rounder punch, infact I now have 3 for exactly that reason 🤣!

Lilian's Description:

'"New corner punch, because my old one is somewhere safe, it does round and Inverted corner.
The packet at the back is a pack 100 gold leaf sheets my son sent me for Mother’s Day, not used before.
Stamps are a few new ones I fancied, love those swirls."

Thanks Lilian for sharing your craft shopping with us XXX

Michele

Michele I love that background die you have bought and who knew that Biogradeable Glitter came in so many lovely colours!! You will love the Gilding kit, it's messy but great fun and so effective !

Michele's Description:

"Die was a eBay purchase & so were the jewel pickers. Glitters, gilding flakes kit & cello bags were from Craftstash."

Thanks Michele for sharing your shopping with us XXX

Pat

Oh Pat your new Groovi plates are so lovely,  I love all of the 'Tea' themed plates, such a lovely range of plates,  the combinations are endless!  So many people are desperate to share a cup of tea with someone so cards featuring that theme seem extra special right now, I am looking forward to seeing your designs .

Pat's Description:

"My buys this week. This was one big bundle. You also get a lovely postcard to use with your orders now."

Thanks so much Pat, I am very much looking forward to our getting back to our weeks meet ups,  it seems like forever since I have seen you XXX

That's all for today Ladies,  thanks to everyone for sharing. XXX

Have a lovely day my lovelies,

Lilian-great shopping. Can’t wait to see what you create with your new goodies.

Pat-what a fantastic selection of Groovi plates. I wonder which one you will use first??

It’s been such a busy week that all I’ve managed to do is take my purchases out of the packaging. I’m hoping to get some time this weekend in my craft room.

  2. Morning ladies,

My, what lovely craft stashes to buy Pat, Michele and Lilian, I'm looking forward to see what beauties you produce.

I had a visit yesterday from a lovely firefighter called Mandy. She had rung me previously to arrange a date for supplying and fitting two brand new fire/smoke alarms, FOC. And as a bonus I had a finger stick to test them monthly, red with a yellow hand clasped all but one finger and before anyone titters the finger is Peter Pointer hahaha. She is coming back later on in the year to do a Fire and Escape check and to give me advice on my overflow storage problems.
This visit and check came courtesy of Western Power's register for vulnerability, they have also forwarded my name to other groups for extra help. It's all provided free of charge.
I would warmly suggest that maybe you get in touch with your power suppliers to see if you fit the criteria too. I was put on their list when my gas boiler broke down and I had no CH for a couple of days whilst I was undergoing my BC treatments. Obviously being on the CEV register that also bumped me up to priority status.

Happy weekend whatever it is you are doing,
    Love 7 hugs

    1. Hi Sandra and all in the Cafe today. Love the pretty card yesterday. What a great challenge. Which unused goodie to use first is going to be the challenge I think 😄 I wonder just how much time (and money!) would we save if we didn’t put stash into such a “Safe” place that it is never seen again? It will be so good to have the longer light, can’t wait until next Sunday. It is quite chilly here today with really strong gusts of wind blowing things around!
Karen, I’m sure you will do a great job making your cushion covers. Just remember the old saying “ measure twice and cut once”. I am really looking forward to seeing the finish ottomans xx
Sending love and hugs to you all with extras for Lynda Mum and all in need. Take care xx

  4. Hi Sandra & ladies
A great saying Sandra and so true.
Great mag reviews as usual Michele. I hope you manage to figure out your sewing machine Karen.
Cheryl I love your boxes. Great that your being looked after re the alarms.
It was Ambers 17th birthday on Thursday so as she’s home from college I took her card up to her.
Karen & Keith had their first vaccine jabs yesterday. That’s the 50’s being done in Witney. I’m assuming they work backwards in age groups. Karen was 50 at the end of Dec.
It’s a bit dull today a bit chilly as well.
Take care and stay safe everyone.
