Sonia's Pretty Happy Birthday card

Good Thursday Morning Ladies,

I hope today finds you well (in most of our cases the best of well possible), gentle hugs for those of you that could use one.   I could use one to help get warm, I am pretty fed up of feeling cold to be honest, yesterday felt especially cold.

The girls and I had a lovely day out yesterday,  they found Dunkertons Cider Farm on line, it is an actual cider farm that has built a large Marquee type thing and has about 9 'Street Food ' outlets, there was an Indian style place, Thai, Mexican, Burger, Filipino, Pizza, Acai Bowls & crepes.  So definitely something for everyone,  the girls both had Mexican and I had a Naan bread with Indian spiced lamb and salad, we all enjoyed our choices and were very full,  I did get us a little treat for after dinner from the Boulongerie and of course I couldn't leave a Cider Farm without a bottle of cider or two for Paul, it is his favourite drink after all !!!  We went into Cheltenham afterwards as the girls were looking for some bits, its so run down now though, so many empty shops, which results in Homeless people in all of the empty shop doorways.  I personally find it so uncomfortable walking past them all begging, I hate it and feel so guilty, there's no way you could help them all though.

Sonia made this gorgeous Birthday card yesterday with some new dies that she recently bought.

Sonia's Description:

The Happy and Birthday dies are both from Temu, but different sets. Flowers Spellbinders. And the background is a Tim Hiltz stencil very faint in Spun Sugar xx

I have zoomed in to show the lovely delicate background

Your card is so lovely Sonia, your attention to detail and finishing touches are always so perfect.  Those tiny flowers look like they were made for embellishing that die.   That die is so versatile,  it would work well for any gender or you could add Christmas,  Easter etc, so a great buy.  I also love how it is big enough to be the main focus of the card too.
Thank you so very much all sharing your card with us XXX

I hope that you all have a lovely day,

Love & hugs to all of you,

Sandra xxx

  1. Your card is beautiful Sonia and does exactly what it says on the tin It sounds like you had a lovely day out with the girls It is sad to see towns disappearing and the upset of homelessness We have a very intelligent pleasant guy who just wants to chat and of course because he’s so nice he’s usually bought a coffee and some food/money
Hopefully our fence will be finished today and 🤞🏼new storms don’t batter it again

  4. Hi Sandra and all looking in.
Sonia your card is so pretty. I love the gorgeous little flowers with the coloured centres xx
Sandra, your lunch out with the girls sounds lovely. Just the sort of place we all like to visit so will definitely be telling Chris and Gem about it. I totally agree how sad it is seeing so many homeless just existing in empty shop door ways xx
It is really cold here today but was beautifully bright and sunny for a few hours which was wonderful to see. Have a good night. Take care. Love Sue xx

  5. Hello Sandra and everyone,
Beautiful card, i love the dies you have used, must look at Temu website, great inspiration Sonia - thank you xxx
Sandra I don’t think its just Cheltenham that is looking run down with shop doorways being used by rough sleepers, I believe every town has this issue, yet so many councils have buildings that could be refurbished for temporary accommodation and help these people get back into a place they could call home. Because without a permanent address they are not able to get back into society and work (for those able ) sorry soapbox away now.
Sleep well, goodnight Love Brenda xxx
