Good Saturday Morning Ladies,
Hello from a wild & windy Gloucestershire, it has been incredibly windy here, although I think the fact that our house is high up overlooking a huge valley leaves us a bit vulnerable to high winds, it felt like the roof was going to blow off at one point, Milo & Bella were really freaked out and jumpy too, I think it was all the banging and blusteryness that was stopping them from setting down, Milo was on and off our bed all night bless him. The journey to Luton wasn't really affected by the wind at all thankfully, I was looking forward to seeing them both, we haven't seen Adam for weeks.
The pie chart is a fairly accurate representation of my craft room, no matter how many times I reorganise!
I felt really emotional reading Sue Wilson’s Blog yesterday, she was talking about the closure of Creative Expressions and announcing the end of her Blog, while I haven't been actively following it for the past couple if years, I always liked to look in and see what she was creating, I stopped commenting when the blog really just seemed to be about selling the dies. I started following Sue over 15 years ago, it took me a while to gain the confidence to comment, I had to create a Blogger account too, which was beyond my tech capabilities! Back then there weren't that many people commenting so it became a lovely community, which grew into something much bigger, some of us felt guilty high jacking Sue's comment section for our daily catch ups so I started my own blog, then one by one we all got to know each other, something I will be forever grateful for, I cannot imagine my life without you lovely ladies in it. 🥰😍
I made quick card using my new Spellbinders 'Sealed' die collection, I used some old inky backgrounds for the flowers and stems and added some pink card that complimented the inked bits. The sentiment is Tim Holtz stamped in Picked Raspberry.
Here's a closer look at those flowers cut from inky background.
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteLove your pretty card, it’s beautiful 😍
The pie chart is quite accurate for me too 😂
I hope Becca and Adam had a lovely time and are feeling relaxed after their holiday.
Very sad that Sue Wilson is stopping her blog. I too, only looked in occasionally and stopped commenting a long time ago. However, as you say it bought all of us together ❤️
Sun is out here but it’s a bit chilly. Off to my brothers for my Niece’s birthday this afternoon.
Have a good day everyone
Sending hugs to you all xx
Most of that pie chart is apt for me too Beautiful card I forget to die cut the inky backgrounds we create In my mind I’ve created a background, therefore I must use it as a background! 🤦🏼♀️
ReplyDeleteWe’re on grandparent duty this evening So a definite nap this afternoon I need to catch up on the Traitors too
I agree with you Sandra re Sue’s blog Her blog was the first one I ever visited and I don’t know how was introduced to yours It must have been Sue W that directed me to the Cotswold table when we met up at Ally Pally! A real end of an era
Take care everyone xx
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteVery true that piechart. Lovely card, do like the lines down the one side and the pretty flowers.
Hope Rebecca and Adam had a nice holiday.
Beautiful but cold day here today. OH just had a walk but I didn't feel like it. Nothing is inspiring me at the moment. Guess it is the winter blues. After Christmas and holiday I just want to see spring to come and the songbirds to come back and sing .
Have a good day everyone. Warm hugs to you all, Maria xx
Evening everyone, another chilly day, but dry.
ReplyDeleteThe pie chart, so true for me as well, I keep it tidy for a few days, but then it goes to pot.
Very pretty card, like the flowers cut from your background papers.
Sue Wilson’s was the first blog I started reading, and from there joined are little community, which I shall be forever grateful. I was very envious of you all when you had a weekend together crafting.
Watching an old film tonight, Red October, seen it many times but still enjoy it.
Goodnight all, Lilian
