Simple Wildflower

 Good Morning Ladies,

I hope today finds you well, are you all back in the usual weekly routine,  I think we are getting there, although we are out of routine with organising meals,  mostly because we are still using bits up from Christmas food shopping,  so this week we are getting back to planning meals for the week ahead, which is boring 😴,  choosing meals is one of my pet , the other thing we have found is that the dates on food in supermarkets are so short these days, its impossible to buy for the 'week' ahead, you can get to Tuesday or Wednesday,  without having to freeze stuff, which wouldn't be a problem if I didn't forget to take things out of freezer!

Today's card is really simple, I used a stencil to add Twisted Citron ink to the background,  I added a little Shabby Shutters too, I used a brush to add some splatters to finish the background.  I die cut a Wildflower from Tim Holtz Wildflower die set,  I used Mustard Seed & Squeezed Lemonade for the flower and Twisted Citron & Shabby Shutters for the stem.  I stamped the sentiment in Twisted Citron and then added the die cut flower to the background.  I added some resin dots to finish the look, I also used a distress tool to rough up the edges.

I hope that you all have a great Thursday,

Love & hugs to all of you ,

Sandra xxx

  1. Hi everyone
Lovely cards today and yesterday 😊 I love the sentiment.
Another cold day here although the sun was out and it’s been dry, but I just can’t get warm!
We’re back to normal foods now and shopping, but tend to do click and collect. I agree the dates aren’t very long though which is frustrating.
Hope you’ve all had a good day
Sending hugs to you all xx

  2. Hi Sandra and everyone looking in. A lovely card. Such fresh colours, I do like the simple flower. I did think you had stitched around the edge at first look then realised after reading your description. I don’t think to roughed the edges very often, I’m never really sure when it works unless I am following someone else’s card.
We have eaten all of the Christmas food except for a lemon panettone that daughter in law Gemma bought for us. We love traditional panettone but will have to see what the lemon one is like.
Stay warm everyone. Take care. Love Sue xx

  3. Hello Sandra and everyone,
Loverly card Sandra and great colour combo. It suggests to me spring is around the corner ……… well i can dream.
We went shopping this morning, the supermarket was much quieter than when we went before Christmas thank goodness. Came home and put the shopping away then started cooking, so now i have a few ready meals in the freezer.
Hope you have had a good day.
    Take care, love Brenda xxx

  4. Hello, lovely fine sunny day, but still very cold.

Very pretty card today, love the colours you have used.
Finished my challenge card for this week, so tomorrow I might try stitching on card.

Managed to get two big lots of stock made from the Christmas bones, ready for soup.
    Sleep well all Lilian
