A Spring journal page

 Good Friday Morning Ladies,

It's almost the weekend,  what do you all have planned??                                                                          We have the very rare occurrence of the girls both having the weekend off,  so we are hoping to do something altogether,  not sure what yet as we are waiting to see what the weather does, it will be lovely spending some quality time together.

Today I am sharing a journal page,  that I made following a Tracy Evans tutorial,  the background and the hearts are made by layering acrylic paint through stencils onto to the Gelli plate, I was so happy with how it turned out....

Just look at all that detail.

Categories: Flowers/Stencil/ journal page

I got all the bits together to make a couple of Snippets so I hope to do that today, all being well !

I hope that you all have a good day,

Love & hugs to all of you,

Sonia's Pretty Happy Birthday card

Good Thursday Morning Ladies,

I hope today finds you well (in most of our cases the best of well possible), gentle hugs for those of you that could use one.   I could use one to help get warm, I am pretty fed up of feeling cold to be honest, yesterday felt especially cold.

The girls and I had a lovely day out yesterday,  they found Dunkertons Cider Farm on line, it is an actual cider farm that has built a large Marquee type thing and has about 9 'Street Food ' outlets, there was an Indian style place, Thai, Mexican, Burger, Filipino, Pizza, Acai Bowls & crepes.  So definitely something for everyone,  the girls both had Mexican and I had a Naan bread with Indian spiced lamb and salad, we all enjoyed our choices and were very full,  I did get us a little treat for after dinner from the Boulongerie and of course I couldn't leave a Cider Farm without a bottle of cider or two for Paul, it is his favourite drink after all !!!  We went into Cheltenham afterwards as the girls were looking for some bits, its so run down now though, so many empty shops, which results in Homeless people in all of the empty shop doorways.  I personally find it so uncomfortable walking past them all begging, I hate it and feel so guilty, there's no way you could help them all though.

Sonia made this gorgeous Birthday card yesterday with some new dies that she recently bought.

Sonia's Description:

The Happy and Birthday dies are both from Temu, but different sets. Flowers Spellbinders. And the background is a Tim Hiltz stencil very faint in Spun Sugar xx

I have zoomed in to show the lovely delicate background

Your card is so lovely Sonia, your attention to detail and finishing touches are always so perfect.  Those tiny flowers look like they were made for embellishing that die.   That die is so versatile,  it would work well for any gender or you could add Christmas,  Easter etc, so a great buy.  I also love how it is big enough to be the main focus of the card too.
Thank you so very much all sharing your card with us XXX

I hope that you all have a lovely day,

Love & hugs to all of you,

Karen's Latest Snippet

Good Wednesday Morning Ladies,

We had a very productive day yesterday,  Lucy and I set up a production line, we started by adhering the pockets into the invitation wallet part, I trimmed the corners so that we got a neat fold and lucy added glue and stuck them in. I then moved onto the letterpressed part of the invitation, I used my TH Deckle trimmer to deckle the edges and then we moved onto adding Versamark ink and dipping into gold embossing powder, over and over and over again, final part heat setting all edges, we started about 11am today and embossed the last one at 5 45pm. Its good to see them done though.  We are on the home straight now !

Thankfully Karen was kind enough to allow me to share her gorgeous Snippet.

Karen's Description:

I made this Snippet yesterday (Sunday) and turned it into a card Don’t know number of Snippet coz I found it after doing a search on FB

So Categories: Flower-Stamping- Snippet (or embossing powder).

Karen what a gorgeous Snippet, I love the colours and the your design,  the purple of the crocus really lifts the card. I love that background stamp too 😍

Thank you so much my lovely for allowing me to share your card today XXX

I hope that you all have a lovely day,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Trying new things

Good Morning Ladies,

I hope that today finds you warm and dry,  I hope that our weather settles down to something near normal for this time of year!  Instead we seem to be going from one storm to another, bringing either severe winds or flooding, for quite a few years we have had snow on or around Sophie & Lucy's birthday, that is 'normal' weather for early February not lashing winds and mass flooding.  Anyway lets help it calms down for a few days, we got caught in a hail storm yesterday,  my goodness did it sting as it hit you, I was with the girls, which means there were fits of laughter,  we were soaked through our clothes by the time we got back to Soph's car !  It took ages to warm up when we got home.

After our trip I warmed my fingers back to life I sat at my desk to try something new!  I wanted to have a go at a technique in that last magazine I shared with you.

I used the free stamp from 'Stamps By Me' that came as part of the free stamp collection.  I placed the stamp onto my stamp platform and added a piece of card to the base, (now it is important to butt your watercolour card up to the corner, so that you can replace your stamped piece EXACTLY in the same position )

I used my Zig Clean Color pens to add colour to the clear stamp, purple (violet) on the flowers and Spring Green on the foliage,  I then spritzed both the inked stamp and the watercolour card before closing the platform and pressing evenly all over.  It is important to note that you are NOT seeking perfection here.  You want the image to look like it has been loosely watercoloured.  Now you can either dry your piece with heat tool or leave it to dry naturally.

Next step is to place the inked card back in the stamp tool in exactly the same position, as we are now going to ink the stamp with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and then add the detail back onto the 'watercoloured' background.  This really brings the stamped image back to life, I added clear embossing powder to mine and heat set, this just made the black ink stand out more.  The last touch was to go in with a brown pen and colour to the stem.

I mounted the card on to a purple card that echoed the colour of the flowers and then onto a card base.

Now I struggled a bit deciding whether I liked it or not as I prefer things that look almost perfect,  thankfully I could appreciate it for what it is and what it's meant to be (this was my 3rd  attempt).   Pick a stamp and have a go, it is actually fun!

I hope that you all have a good day,

Love & hugs to all of you,

A Spring Journal page

Good Monday Morning Ladies,

Anyone got a boat??? Boy was Alexa's weather warning spot on yesterday,  the morning started off lovely,  at 8am we were having a cuppa in bed admiring the hills in the distance,  it soon clouded over though and by lunchtime the heavens opened and it just didn't stopped,  the roads are all flooded again, the main issue with that is round here, hidden under those massive puddles are equally massive pot holes, it absolutely sickens me with worry for cyclists etc as if they hit one of those pot holes that are atleast 10 inches deep at speed they'd be flung from their bikes into oncoming traffic, it literally gives me chills thinking about it.  They have attempted to patch them with a man, a bag of tarmac and a shovel,  so poorly done that the first rain shower washes the repair away!  It's not like road tax is cheap either !!  Sorry Rant Over,  I have put the soapbox away 😚🙄

Today I am sharing  Journal page I made some time ago, following a Tracy Evans class,  I had totally forgotten about it until I was having a big old reorganise yesterday morning.   I thought it was both perfect for the Spring Flowers theme and it works for our TICTACTOE, using Categories:              Flowers/Stamping/ Journal Page

I hope that you all have a great start to your week,

Love & hugs to all of you,

Our makes this week...

Good Sunday Morning Ladies,

We were treated to a gloriously sunny day yesterday,  that little bit of sunshine really does lift your spirits,  I will say I was a little shocked at how cold it was when I stepped outside to get into the car.  I am really hoping that all these frosts haven't killed my Clematis, it had managed to scramble up almost 15ft since planting last spring, so I have my fingers crossed that it has survived.   It's so lovely to see all the bulbs coming through, there are patches of Snowdrops all over the village that look so pretty, I can't wait to see all of the beautiful Spring flowers.

For now let's look at the crafted Spring flowers..

Karen

Karen's Description:

Here are my versions of TE Snippets 22 and 23 Both are done with the same stamp sets So there’s a challenge 2x projects using same products.

Wow Karen,  two gorgeous Snippets,  I love that delicate flower stamp, it's amazing to see what a difference the background colour makes, the purple flowers really pop on that white background,  I live the shading on the white one too, that tiny rabbit adds cuteness wherever its used

Thank you so much for two lovely cards XXX

Lilian

Lilian's Description:

Today’s card: Lavinia stamps coloured with my inktense pencils. Very simple card but has taken most of the day.

Your cards are always like little works of art Lilian,  your colouring is so incredible, each one of those flowers is shaded perfectly, your background is beautiful too, I can see why it has taken you all day to complete.

Thank you so much for your beautiful Spring card XXX

Ladies I hope that you all have an enjoyable Sunday,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Something for Saturday

Good Saturday Morning Ladies,

Hello from a wild & windy Gloucestershire,  it has been incredibly windy here, although I think the fact that our house is high up overlooking a huge valley leaves us a bit vulnerable to high winds, it felt like the roof was going to blow off at one point,  Milo & Bella were really freaked out and jumpy too,  I think it was all the banging and blusteryness that was stopping them from setting down,  Milo was on and off our bed all night bless him.   The journey to Luton wasn't really affected by the wind at all thankfully,  I was looking forward to seeing them both, we haven't seen Adam for weeks.

The pie chart is a fairly accurate representation of my craft room, no matter how many times I reorganise!

I felt really emotional reading Sue Wilson’s Blog yesterday,  she was talking about the closure of Creative Expressions and announcing the end of her Blog, while I haven't been actively following it for the past couple if years, I always liked to look in and see what she was creating,  I stopped commenting when the blog really just seemed to be about selling the dies.  I started following Sue over 15 years ago, it took me a while to gain the confidence to comment,  I had to create a Blogger account too, which was beyond my tech capabilities!  Back then there weren't that many people commenting so it became a lovely community,  which grew into something much bigger, some of us felt guilty high jacking Sue's comment section for our daily catch ups so I started my own blog, then one by one we all got to know each other, something I will be forever grateful for, I cannot imagine my life without you lovely ladies in it.  🥰😍

I made  quick card using my new Spellbinders 'Sealed' die collection, I used some old inky backgrounds for the flowers and stems and added some pink card that complimented the inked bits.  The sentiment is Tim Holtz stamped in Picked Raspberry.

Here's a closer look at those flowers cut from inky background.

I did something different with the background,  I embossed a piece of card and instead of using a die cut to have as a base for the focal point I simply embossed 9 lines down the left hand side of the card. I think it really works as a backdrop for the bouquet.

I hope that you all have a lovely weekend,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra xxx

Our New Challenge

 Good Friday Morning Ladies,

More nasty weather on the way,  I hope that you all stay safe.  We have to drive to Luton Airport this afternoon to collect Becca & Adam who treated themselves to a much needed week away from work, they were so incredibly exhausted after the festive season running 2 hotels/restaurants, it will be nice to see them relaxed.  Having said that, Becca used the time to bombard us with Wedding ideas.

I thought I would do a TicTacToe for our Challenge,  we haven't had one for a while, I have tried to add categories that will suit everyone.  I hope it helps you and inspires you to create.   Please don't feel tied to any direction rules. Have fun and enjoy 😘

I hope that you all have a good day,

Love & hugs,

Sandra xxx

Simple Just a Note card

Good Morning Ladies,

Its Thursday already,  this week has flown,  probably as I have had to medical appointments,  Monday just disappeared, I felt like I woke up at six and then woke up again at 8 30pm.  I actually had a full night sleep on Tuesday night, I felt better for it too!   Yesterday I had an ultrasound that was to check position of my friend 'Merina' , the chap that did the ultrasound (that ended up having to be internal ) explained that trying to look at my uterus through abdomen is difficult as I have a 'Retroverted Uterus ' which means its tilted backwards, which explains why the nurse had such a tough job getting the Merina in place, I do recall there being an issue when I had the girls too.  So you learn something new every day !!!🤣😂

Today's card is a quick and simple card that I made to use up some of my pile of backgrounds  I also wanted to use a new die that I received,  I made a 4 1/8 X 5 1/2 inch card base using Linen card, I cut a mat 1/4 inch smaller which I used to die cut the leaf circle die from.  I then picked one of the many inly backgrounds that I have accumulated....

I adhered the piece of background behind the die cut circle.  I then added foam pads to the back of the piece and adhered it to my card base.  I die cut the sentiment from the same background and added 4 layers to the back of the it (cut from scraps of white card).  Just to make it stand out more.

I have tried to angle the card to show the sparkle in the background.

I hope that you all have a good Thursday,

Love and HUGE hugs to all of you,

Sandra xxx

Pretty Spring Card

Good Wednesday Morning Ladies,

I hope today finds you well,  I fully intended to sit and make a card yesterday afternoon,   however after a quick trip to the Garden centre with the girls I was I was wiped out, I felt ok, when I got up, apart from a sore throat,  I had a rough night but I think that was a combination of wind (from where they inflate your stomach etc andva lot of soreness from the inflamed Bile Duct, I guess as its already inflamed any irritation is going to cause it to react.  We got back from the garden centre and I thought I would have a little tidy round, well I felt completely wiped out.  I hadn't really done anything, I was in my wheelchair at the garden centre,  maybe it was just the getting up and dressed that exhausted me.  As I am writing this I am fighting to keep my eyes open and its only 5pm!

So as a result I am sharing an old card that I still love, it is Spring in a card !!   The stamps are HoneyDoo and everytime I see this card I think "oh I had forgotten I had those stamps!

Which brings me to a question.....

Would we be better storing our stamps/ dies in Seasons???

I currently group by manufacturer,  so all my Aall&Create stamps are together,  (I know there are some Spring stamps in there too)!  My Stampin Up ones are altogether, HoneyDoo,  Etc

I do try and keep Christmas stamps together though

I think my whole organisation needs reorganisation!

How do you store/organise yours??

Have a lovely Wednesday,

Love & hugs to all,

Sandra xxx

Delightful Daffodils

Good Morning Ladies,

Just a quickie today as I am struggling to stay awake,  due to my system being used to high levels of opiod pain meds my body resisted the sedation meds, after 3 doses into the canula the chap was laughing saying 'you really don't want to relax do you'  i couldn't speak as I had a thing in my mouth that they pass the ultrasound probe through,  but i tried to indicate that I was trying to relax my AF ridden heart was betraying me, lets face it who would be totally relaxed in that situation?!

Today's card I made on Sunday afternoon,  I bought a set of SU Daffodil Dies in the sale this time last year I think but I never got around to using them, so being inspired from seeing the first signs of Daffodils emerging I got them out to have a play with.  There are about 4 layers to each flower, I think they look quite effective though, I used two shades of yellow, Mango Melody & So Saffron and Garden Green for the leaves. I used a blended background effect paper onto my card base and decided to arrange the Daffs onto a circle die cut, this draws your eye in, they just seemed to get lost on the background otherwise,  the sentiment is made up of two Tim Holtz word stickers (for simplicity)  I may change them when I decide whatbI am using the card for.  It would be nice for Easter or Mothers Day I think.

I hope you have a good day my lovelies,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra xxx

Sealed Bloom card

Good Monday Morning Ladies,

Here we are at the start of a new week,  I'm not excited this one, well today mostly.  I have an endoscopy today, probably as you are reading this post!   I have starved for 12 hours just to be safe, it said 8 hours but I wasn't getting up at 4am to eat! It said we will be there 2 to 4 hours, I'm hoping not.

Today's card is a result of me playing after making the wax seals for Becca's wedding invitations.  I have had the stuff to do it for a good couple of years but just not had the urge to try it.  Spellbinders have bought out a range of dies called 'Sealed' they are flower dies that work well as bouquets of flowers, the bit that looks like twine around the card is actually a die cut, it has a circle in the centre to place your wax seal or if you don't want to use wax you could just add a sentiment.

I used pool party card embossed on a white card base, I die cut the flowers and foliage in shades that work well with the Pool Party card, I die cut the twine part in white to tie in the base card and flowers.  I placed my wax seal in the centre to finish the card.

Its hard to explain the die, so I thought I'd show you.

I hope that you all have a great start to the week,

My love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra xxx

Your Spring Flower cards

Good Sunday Morning Ladies,

My goodness it turned cold yesterday,  we popped to the Garden centre to get some seed compost, I had my big thick jumper on but my goodness I wish I'd put my coat on!   We got the compost and a few other bits that we didn't intend to buy, but that's nothing new!!

The first thing that we did when we got home was light the log burner (and put kettle on of course).  I hope that you all managed to stay cosy and warm.

Let's see what you have been making.....

Karen

Karen's Description:

Had a bit of a play with my Christmas pressie from my SIL
I faffed and faffed with the die Do I do it in white or black Do I paper piece it etc
I didn’t stamp the text in background very straight so cutting that out with another Aall and Create die has helped
Both the orange and blue card have been created with DO
Now do I add white splats?
Decisions decisions 🤣

As you can see from the photo Karen did add splats it just wouldn't be a 'Karen Aall&Create card' without splats!
I love your card, the texture in the background is incredible, the varied tones look fantastic,  the Reckoner stamp has added lovely detail too. I am really tempted by those grungy border dies 😍

Thank you so much for creating such an inspirational card my lovely XXX

Lilian

Lilian's Description:

Hi, here is my card for this week.
Tim Holtz stamps again, the flowers have clear embossing powder on them.
The grasses are from Lavinia stamps, they are new, so useful to use to fill space.
Inked the background the pink and green are from the printed paper stack.

The stitching didn’t work, but I shall not give up, will have another go using a zigzag stitch instead of straight.

Such a beautiful card Lilian,  the flowers are gorgeous and the grasses just tie all the layers together.  I am watching your card stitching journey closely, I still haven't been brave enough to try!  Let me know how the zigzag stitching goes please.
Thank you so much for such a beautiful card Lilian,  your support is very much appreciated XXX

Sonia

Sonia's Description:

The background paper is from my stash of 12x12” cardstock cut to size. The numbers and circle die are from Temu, and the Happy Birthday from Spellbinders, all die cut in gold glitter card. The flowers are also Spellbinders.

Such a gorgeous card Sonia for your Mum's very Special birthday,  I love the colours in that beautiful paper you have used, pairing it with the gold glitter card was genius, plus gold glitter card is essential on celebrating cards!
I hope your Mum has an amazing birthday,  thanks for sharing your card XXX

Happy Saturday

Good Saturday Morning Ladies,

I hope that you are all as well as can be expected,  gentle hugs to those of you that need one 😊

What have you all got planned for this weekend??  Paul is hoping to get out in the garden, I need to get a couple of cards made for Monday & Tuesday, as the sedation I am having for Mondays procedure can take up to 48 hrs to clear out of your system.  I have an ultrasound on Tuesday to check position of my 'friend Merina'.  So I will be feeling very prodded and poked by Tuesday evening,  worth it if these procedures bring the solutions I need though.

Maria

Our Maria has shared some of the beautiful scenery of Austria,  its just so breathtaking,  it must so lovely being up there in that crisp,  clean air!  I can't believe its your last day though, this week has gone so fast.

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful holiday photos with us. XXX

I hope that you all have a lovely weekend,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Throwback floral Friday

Good Friday Morning Ladies,

Thank goodness it's Friday,   with Paul being super busy at work and Lucy and I doing wedding invitations etc I feel like I have hardly seen Paul this week.  So everything can go to one side until Monday and I plan to do nothing wedding orientated until Monday.

Yesterday was really busy, after very little sleep and feeling fragile because of Uti symptoms, a full day wedding shopping with 5 women was exhausting, they did get some ideas of styles and the shop had the perfect shade of Green and Champagne Dresses , they didn't have styles that everyone liked, Soph & Lucy looked stunning in any dress they tried on, they didn't love the cowl neckline that most of them seemed to have, so I think that they have decided to order their dresses online, frustratingly that seems more of a headache as you have the sizing issues, but fingers crossed they can all get what they need. After hours dress shopping we went to Hobbycraft for more invitation supplies. We got home and I crashed out.

Today I am sharing another simple floral card from last year,  fingers crossed normal services will resume on Monday (with new cards)

Here is how I made it ...

its a 'Pinspiration' card, I loved the simplicity of the one flower, which is a stamp from a set I've had for years called 'Tasteful Textures'.  I stamped the flower and cut it out and popped it onto a black mat that was 1/4 inch bigger, now came the tricky part ...working out exactly where to score the rectangle onto the card front to frame the focal piece, I did work it out after the second attempt though, it was worth the extra work though, as it finishes off the look really neatly.  Thank heavens for clear stamps and stamp platforms too, otherwise that sentiment would never have happened!! 🤣  I really liked how it turned out

Have a great Friday my lovelies,

Love & hugs to all of you,

Sandra xxx

Pretty daisy throwback card

Good Morning Ladies,

Well yesterday was a blur,  I wasn't looking forward to sitting and making 80 invitations,  it was so monotonous,  measuring scoring & folding the same thing over and over.  I did manage to re-jig the measurements and add the shaped 'flap' all on to one piece of card, I wanted a shaped edge which was going to mean another 160 die cuts,  so that felt like a win.  Becca came to help out too,  so we set her on making the wax seals,  Lucy wss letterpress printing the invitation while I was creating the wallet part of the invitation.

We called it a day at around 7pm and then we needed to think about eating,  I had no energy, mentally or physically,  so we ended up having quesadillas and salad.  I was then ready for bed!  I got into bed and must have fallen asleep straight away,  but that didn't last long as a short time later I woke with an overwhelming urge to pee,  yes you guessed it the Uti symptoms are back.  I got about 90 minutes sleep total and had to be up early this morning as we are Bridesmaid dress shopping as we speak !!

Sorry for the late post x

Here are the details for todays 'Throwback' card from April last year...

I used Dutch Doobadoo stencil 'Hessian ' I believe, with some Mowed Lawn DO, I varied the amount of pressure so that the ink was lighter in some places. I matted my background onto a SU Polished Pink' mat and then onto a white card base.

To make the flowers I took some off cuts of a watercolour card and die cut the flower from Tim Holtz Wildflower die set, I used the Mowed Lawn again, smooshing it into a into a non stick sheet, spritzed with water and dipped and dried a few layers onto my flower stalk, building up the colour while trying to keep the watercolour look.

I smooshed Kitch Flamingo and Picked Raspberry DO's into my mat and spritzed, a did a few layers but wanted more of a textured look, the Kitsch Flamingo and Picked Raspberry seemed to just blend together, so I remembered that I did a project a while back where I combined Distress Ink with Distress Oxide, so I got my Picked Raspberry Distress Ink and smooshed that onto my mat and spritzed it, I wanted to try and pick up the tiny little dots of ink that you get when you use non stick mat, (it doesn't create dots on glass mats). I made sure my flowers were dry and then ever so gently lowered them down onto those pretty pink dots, i barely let the flower touch the ink, I quickly dried them to fix those dots before they disappeared, I dip another dip and then stopped. The flower centres are made using the original Flower Soft' I have had it since it was first shown on C&C easily 12+ years ago! I quite like the texture it gives it does look quite realistic.

I fiddled around until I was happy with the position of the flowers and then glued them down, I stamped a quick Tim Holtz sentiment, which worked well with the flowers! I am really pleased with how it turned out, especially the flowers!

I hope you all have a good day,

Love & hugs to all

Pretty Bouquet card

Good Wednesday Morning Ladies,

We are in wedding invitation production line mode here at the moment,  it was so monotonous cutting and scoring the pieces of card to exactly the same size over and over again.  I was doing the inside pocket for most of the afternoon,  I have decided to use double sided tape to adhere the pocket,  when I tried my usual glue it ended up oozing out onto the visible part of the invitation, because its dark green card the glue mark was super visible. It will be a bit more time consuming but will look better.  I will be doing the actual main body of the invitation today.

It was quite a nice change to make an actual card,  I used a new die set and embossing folder for this card.  The folder is called 'Floral & Vine' and the stamp set is called 'Sealed Wildflowers', both Spellbinders.

I created a 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 card base, then embossed a panel of the same card 1/4 inch smaller and then adhered this to card base.  Next I die cut the flowers and foliage from different coloured card, adhered the flowers to the stems and arranged them into a bouquet and adhered them to a circle of white card.  I stamped the sentiment and die cut and added foam pads and placed it onto the bouquet.  This circular piece had foam pads added and placed onto the card base.                                                            I quite like these flowers 💐

I hope that you all have a lovely day,

Love & hugs to all,

Birthday Wishes

 Good Morning Ladies,

Ooh it was lovely to see sunshine and no ice this morning,  it felt warmer too, I wasn't shivering when I got out of bed. 🤣

Today I am sharing a card I made on Friday, I love the combination of Orchid Oasis Mango Melody works so well on this card.  The heart frame with the orchid oasis showing through adds some lovely detail to the card.  I finished the card with the stamped sentiment and those tiny die cut butterflies  🦋.

I hope that you all have a good day,

Love & hugs to all,

A simple spotlight

Good Monday Morning Ladies,

Here we are at the start of a new week, hopefully a little bit warmer than last week.  We are starting wedding invitation production this week,  I can't say I'm excited about the thought of all that repetition!  But hopefully the result will bring happiness 😊

Today's card was an experiment,  I tried a new colour combination: Dried Marigold & Milled Lavender Distress Oxide, its a lovely combination,  it made like a peachy pink where blended together.  I used a circle stencil to blend the circle onto my background,  I let it dry before stamping the flower from the 'Spotlight on Nature' stamp set,  I dusted with anti static before stampin the flower just in case,  as soon as I stamped I added clear embossing powder, Oxide inks cause black ink to go dull,  adding clear embossing brings the intense black back.  It has a lovely shine too.

You can see the shine here!

I picked a similar coloured card to create the card base, I stamped the sentiment the sentiment in the bottom corner and finish off with some resin dots.

I hope that you all have a giid start to the week,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra xxx

Sunday look at what we made this week

Good Sunday Morning Ladies,

Fingers crossed that today might be warmer,  it was -7 until about 10am yesterday.  We drove through Bourton on Water and it looked so strange seeing the 'mist' floating above the water almost like it was steam as the water was warmer from the air.  It was so incredibly busy there too,  the cold didn't put the tourists off!!

Maria I hope that your journey was smooth and the scenery is as beautiful as you remember xx

Sonia I bet your Dad loved the card you made for him,  it's so much nicer to receive hand made cards, although I think only another crafter truly understands the true value of a handmade card, enjoy your weekend off my lovely xx

Karen, welcome home,  you have been missed,  I can't wait to hear all about your holiday,  I bet your fingers are itching to craft ! xx

Lilian I can't wait to see your 'sewn' detail on your cards, Paul got my machine down weeks ago bit I haven't even got it out of the bag yet.  xx

Let's look at what you have been making......

Lilian

Lilian's Description:

Hi, here is my card for this week.
Used Tim Holtz stamps and my zig water colour pens. Some of which are drying up, must use them more. Not sure where the stencil came from, I think it was a magazine freebie. I used one of Tracy’s 3x3 squares.

Such a beautiful card Lilian,  the colours in the background work so well with your main image,  your colouring is amazing as always,   the flowers are beautiful and I love the shading on the vase, it makes it look 3D.

Thank you so much for sharing your lovely card XXX

Maria's Description:

I made this yellow and orange card. Thinking that yellow always makes you feel happier. The happy birthday die came this morning in the post from kokorossa, think it was them anyway 🤭 så that was lucky so I could finish it off 😊

You are so right my lovely,   yellow is a colour that instantly brightens your day!  I love that floral background die you have used!  The little ted centres really make the flowers pop.  Adding the black layer under your sentiment helps to lift it off the background,  it looks like one of those 'eclipse' cards
Thank you so much for another lovely card, I hope that you have arrived safely at your hotel and that you enjoy every minute XXX

Sonia

Sonia used a new die that she received fron Temu to create this gorgeous card.  It is exactly 'Simple Floral ' card, I love the combination of colours you have uses and those tiny resin dots highlight those pretty little flowers perfectly.

Thank you so much for sharing your lovely card with us XXX
