A New Thrinchie using a stencil

Good Wednesday Morning Ladies,

We had a lovely sunny day yesterday,  chilly but glorious sunshine,  I ended up getting lucy to put the clothes airer on the deck and pegged washing out there as it is like a sun trap, so warm that you could sit out without a jacket.  The towels didn't fully dry but they were on the way to being dry,  the washing line was in shade at this point.  Why is getting washing dry outside such a great feeling?!  I love it, I love how fresh it smells and feels.  As I have said before... I am easily pleased. 🤣😂

This Thrinchie is one of Tracey Evans latest ones, I made i yesterday afternoon, as it uses a stencil, so works perfectly for the challenge.

I inked up a background stamp with Tumbled Glass, Mermaid Lagoon and a touch of Crackling Campfire, I then stamped it onto my Thrinchie,  I then took Tracy’s Bird Stencil....

I used the inside piece, so is that mask or stencil??

I used low tack tape (rolled up) to adhere the mask to the Thrinchie,  I then applied ink around the mask, first the Tumbled Glass, flicking outwards from the centre of the bird, I repeated with the Mermaid Lagoon,  which gives a great outline of the bird.  I then stamped the flower and added colour with pencils.  I stamped the phrase and added shading and then added some white splatters to finish and added to a black mat.

I hope that you have a good day,

Love and hugs to all,

Sandra xxx

  1. Love the Thrinchie I don’t know the difference between a mask and a stencil

  2. Hi everyone, dull again, although I don’t think it’s quite so cold as yesterday.
    Started embossing a piece of paper that I have coloured with mica powders, not sure how it will turn out;
Hope you are all having a good afternoon. Lilian

  3. Lovely card and so much detail, every time you look at it you see more and more detail in it. Truly a masterpiece!
Spending the day quietly, the weather looks gorgeous but john tells me it’s very cold outside, I’ll take his word for it and stay inside with my book.
Hope you are all having a good day.

  5. Hi Sandra and all looking in. A lovely Thrinchie, the bird is beautiful.
I’ve always been told that the stencil is the outside bit and the mask is the solid bit which “masks” whatever is underneath it. I love the smell of washing dried outside. There’s no smell like it is there. Your decking is perfect for getting the washing dry or mostly anyway xx
I hope you all had a good day whatever you did. Take care. Love Sue xx

  6. Hi everyone.
    Great thrinchies. Good colours together
Was out this morning and picked up my three crystals arts that I have got framed so far and they are looking perfect so now need to get them up on the walls.
Wasn't feeling too good back home so had a sleep and then afterwards I sat in the sunshine for a bit, that was lovely and so warm but it's still frost in the morning.
Hoping that you all had a good day and sleep well tonight. Hugs , Maria xxx
